That's just stupid. If you use R290 in your car (propane) it has the oderant added so you can tell if it were to leak out. And it would take a lot of it like this guy released to actually ignite. A normal leak would never ignite.

Scare tactics, pure and simple. Taken out of context, most every seemingly benign compound can be life threatening...even water! It doesn't help that Communist China has cornered the world market for the raw materials that compose R134a. China has a vested interest in R134a's continued use.

ANY pressurized refrigerant (R134) with its vaporized oil will make a flame ball when suddenly released into a spark. Millions of vehicles charged with HC refrigerants there has not yet been even one documented case of explosion or fire from a crash. R134 is phased out in Europe 2011 (immediately) and GM in the US is phasing out R134 for 2013 model year..

Now days you have to check all info very carefully , have names of guys involved companies etc.. ive used duracool and worked great i would not recomended to all people especially ignorant stupid people that don,t have at least the basic knowledge of physics,,,,134 refgt, is flammable to combined with oil and you already have a most flammable and in more quantity in your car and its your fuel look it up !! fuel(diesel) was used to blow up the building in oklahoma,,,and they already had hidrocar

We have propane refrigerant here in Canada too. Its called Duracool, its natural and organic and non-toxic. I use it in my pick-up truck and it works awsome.
