His strengths were his intelligence on and off the ball, and his finishing. And the fact, he flourished as a midfielder when his career came to an end, showed how much a class act he was. am a celtic supporter and brian mcclair was my best player no doubt, he was top goal scorer for 4 years in a row and far better than mccoist at this stage, no man utd player had scored more than 20 goals since dennis law and george best. mcclair in his 1st season beat that record. awesome striker, dam shame celtic let him go

mcclair was awsome for glasgow celtic in the 80s. it did not surprise me that he made it at old trafford, the funny thing about brian mcclair is that he would always struggle to score for scotland. but chocky mcclair was fantastic for my beloved celtic, and i believe he did quite well for the red devils to.

I started going in the 1991/1992 season he was absolutly quality for us that season! We missed out on the title by inches but he also got sum cruicial goals in the 92/93 season when we eventually won the title!
