  • What a brilliant combination !.

    Suggs is the man !

Having seen Madness many many times you can see why the lads are called the Nutty Boys.

    Great people

    Keep it going fellas.

  • Piano solo!! :DD

  • it is sweet and amusing-and he should form aband likenew orderfor example...Why not?/

  • Wish I had gone to this.

  • grea tnight denton would be proud x

  • Pet Shop Boys melhorou em 500% a música do Madness!!!hahaha. ..Pet Shop Boys é quase tão perfeito como Deus!!! Sabem tudo!!!!!

  • good!!!

  • Suggs looks odd with no tuxedo...

  • another kick ass psb moment

  • What a treat , two fave bands on stage 2gether. Wish I was there .

  • Nice!!!

  • i'd love to be there T-T thanks 4 posting

  • Suggs ♥

  • PSB are in demand here, SUGGS , i dunnow, PSB show who is the talent in music !!

  • suggs is hammerd

  • The lads have clearly had a few bevvies, jumped on stage...and had a good time! Whats wrong with that, I regularly do it...and end up getting escorted out by security! Good on ya boys!

  • Vaya borrachera que llevaban los Madness no??? Geniales los Pet Shop Boys.

  • yeeehaaa

    :)

  • It was for a very good cause.

  • sorry sugs, i dont like this version

  • I love how 'live' it is. I like the off the cuffness of it. Marvellous.

  • maybe would have been better if rehearsed but if we wanted a perfect performance we would watch elton john or shirley bassey wouldnt we? madness are a fun band & a good band. pub band? wake up, thats why they still sell out all the arena's, finsbury park & race courses.

  • I am so friggin happy to see this that I am going to do a special dance! YEAH FOR THE BOYS AND SUGGS!!!!

  • So nice to see Madness and Pet Shop Boys together.

  • Happy Birthday, Neil !!!

    10 th july 1954 -10 th july 2008

    esquirel

  • kkkkkkkkk! Who the hell are this!!?? kkkkk! Poor Pet....

  • El toque especial q pet shop boys le puede dar, muy lindo el tema pero con psb se duplica, aguante pet shop boys y argentina carajo, lindo recuerdos les dejamos a estos 2 este gran pais

  • Suggs,Chas Legends,Nutty boys Madness till i die.

  • Funny stuff...Chris looked scared.

  • Well that was a bit shambolic wasn't it? Suggs clearly is out of it and unrehearsed.

  • Some people call that spontaneity, and I am of those who appreciate it.

  • I call it embarrassing and amateur. Ive always thought Madness were tiresome non creatives. This underlines it.

  • I would use milder adjectives, for there was an evident interest in PSB to cover the song and, as they solely rely on CG rhythms, should have banned Suggs and Chas onstage. If PSB decided not to they must have been aware of the risks involved, for which I can only enjoy a meeting of this sort as it is.

If I were interested in a flawless product, I'd check the PSB studio version available here in YT.

  • How many pub acts sell out the O2 Arena? Madness' new album (hopefully out this year), which they previewed in July, will be amazing.

  • Neil corrected Suggs (0:50 - 0:56) and gave him the right cue (1:32) to start his vocals. Their complicity -and perhaps even friendship- when concocting this flawed though spontaneous, on-the-spot version is clear to me.

I respect anyone who can do better than myself in front of a live audience.

  • I agree with the late Bill Hicks, anyone that does a commercial is automatically off the artistic role call. Suggs is just shameless, flogging garden peas. PSB's have never done a commercial even when they were begged early on, they've refused to "do" royalty. Madness, despite their cockney geezer blokey image had no problem with genuflecting before people that think they're better than them and deserve to take your taxes to do nothing. Gawd bless yer your majesty, 'ave a plate o peas!

  • Maybe it's news to you, BuddaUK, but in the ordinary world people need to earn a living, so people who have jobs are commercial in that respect (and the same goes for bands). And even artists want to make a living. Donj't forget Bill Hicks sold his tickets, he didn't just give 'em away. So please stop talking rubbish, if you have a problem with Madness, just say so and don't hide it behind your politically correct drivel...

  • I think you're mistaking Suggs for Madness, since the rest of the band is not involved and they don't necessarily approve of it. As far as I'm concerned there's no need for him to do commercials, but that's up to him (and anyone else dabbling in the artistic world, for that matter) and it doesn't detract anything from Madness' music. Apart from that, it doesn't seem to bother The Pet Shop Boys... And did I mention Andy Warhol? ;-)

  • Honestly, as great as Bill Hicks was, I think there is nothing wrong with Madness flogging their name, likeness as much as they possibly can, so long as people are up for it.

  • Sure, sure, but how can you blame Suggs, its completely impromptu and doesn't exactly have the same cues as the original version.

  • Sure, so I suppose this track wasn't written by Madness in your little grotty world...

  • Madness are artists who if they are successful are hardly living in the "ordinary world" after making a mint in the 80's. Sure Bill Hicks sold tickets to make a living but he didn't get sponsored because he made enough to live on. It's not politically correct to not behave like a greedy whore like Madonna. If you want respect as an artist you don't grin with a can of Pepsi for mega-cash, you sell tickets and albums. Btw Madness are OK, I was just disappointed in the advertising.

  • Nope, quite agree, it's up to Suggs, it's just a personal wince when I see someone I admire doing a commercial. If the Pets ever did one I'd be gutted. Maybe Suggs does need the cash, maybe not, fair enough I guess, but someone like Madonna has no excuse, that level of success means you absolutely don't have to hawk yourself like a greedy whore and you should be pilloried for doing so.

  • Greed comes in all shapes and sizes. Agree with you on Madonna, but I haven't got a clue whether or not Suggs needs the cash. What I do know is there are artists doing commercials in order to be able to create the things they like (well, at least over here). Apart from that, I can enjoy any art form regardless of whether I approve of the things the artist thinks he or she should (or should not) do.

  • I don't see a problem with people in the music industry doing advertising. Why do people think they're breaking some kind artistic code of honour and "sold out"? Noddy Holder has advertised beer (as has Suggs), Roger Daltrey has done American Express and even John Lydon is advertising butter. So what?

  • Haha, yeah... who would have thought, years down the line that Johnny Rotton would be advertising Country Life! :D

  • Oh my god!!!!!!

  • Suggs (vocalist for Madness) and Chris Lowe should

make an album = Smion Cowell would

    be in heaven!

  • Pet Shop Boys & Madness = Legends! Chris Lowe = Keyboard Wizard........Genius!

  • piano solo!

    F***!

  • I think Neil is embarrassed that Madness is drunk

and feels responsible to the fans to que them to the microphone....that is my impression

  • possibly....

  • Tennant has a one of a kind voice and is one of the best song writers, vocals and human beings out there, but Suggs is a pretty funny character and has a voice that matches Mr. Lowe's fancy keyboard rhythms.

  • madness are collossal

  • es lo ke tu dices!!neil es neil!!!educadisimo y piensa ke los ingleses son muy asi.

    saludos.

  • this is the B-side of the next single!!!!

  • if they release this it could be there 5th number 1. to make them the all time greatist duo.

  • the singer is hilarious :D

  • Awesome man, Pet Shop Boys and Suggs rocksssss

  • lol

    thats terrible

    i love madness

    and petshop boys

    not a good performace

    But fuck it aay

  • You can listen this remix on the official PSB site, with Neil's vocal. :)

  • It's mad

    And I love it

    Whatever it is

Actually I listen to Madness for ages

Me as a Pet Shop Boys Fan

    How curious it is.

    One Step LOWE :)

  • Brillant performance! neil is soooocool! standing there! Very minimal!

  • lol !! xDD the singer is a bit drunk ¬¬

    He exhaust me patience ¬¬

I love the performance of Cris Lowe xD he's very "quiet" xDD, but I really admire the patience of neil =)

Madness's singer gives me foreign shame ¬¬

    go PSB !! ^^

    pethead 4eVeR !!

  • Neil is headbanging on the background haha, he just enjoy the performance.

  • This should definitely be released properly, with Suggs on vocals (apologies to Neil's demo). I can see it being an Ibiza anthem - a 'Boys and Girls' for 2008! This youtube version, depite being chaotic, has a certain something, and hints at what could be. Go on lads, do it!

  • BANG ON ARCHITECTBOY...You are correct, it would be massive. Neil could throw in some vocals but keep Suggs... 'ave it..!

  • Suggs was off face, either on alcohol or something a bit harder. Clearly they hadn't rehearsed it, but it was an amusing performance of a revamped Madness classic.

Great to be at the front of the stage to see Chris really get into the swing of things.

  • i just missed this lol good thing its up here. the pet shop boys were the bollocks tho......1 nill to the arsenal loool

  • This new pet's version is Brill!!! Please release it!!!!!!

  • the singer is lost and dont know where to sing :D next time practice a little :P

  • yeah you all rock the house... :-)

  • Oh im so happy to have found this, i was at the front with no battery for me camera...

absolute classic performance & the crowd were rocking, it was a memorable night, please release the remix.......mmmmmm...Suggs is the Man xx

  • Awesome, thank you for posting it. What a great song.

However, what's the deal with Neil in this clip? It seems he was telling them when to sing and at what point.

Maybe they didn't rehearsed it very much?

  • It was a great evening but I think Suggs needed a bit more "omega 3"

  • I thought at first Neil was a bit pissed, but now im not so sure. Maybe Suggs was?

  • this is awesome

  • GREAT!!!! PET SHOP BOYS

  • esto es un temazooo!!!

  • You always sing "my girl" when you drunk :D Great remix, and yeah great video thx for upload.

  • Thanks for sharing this! Nice combination, great Madness track and good arrangement. Pet Shop Nutties, I salute thee.

  • We want the single!

  • Pure brilliance, both Suggs vocal and Neils, it MUST be released, maybe for charity.

  • great song!!!!

  • I hope this gets a release!

  • Interesting... single please!

  • Can You Bear It?

    Buen homenaje a Dainton

    Kiss

    Spain

  • The PSB version is fantastic, I already think of this song as a PSB song. Such great work!!

  • Probably not quite what Neil & Chris envisaged as it became a little anarchic... but hay that was always Madness...

As others have already said... please release it as a single in its own right, not only because it is a quality remix, but also as a fitting honour to Dainton and celebration of his life... awesome!!!

  • Yeah... please release it as a single. It's a fabulous remix, and besides, we'd like to see Suggs "eat his Fucking shoes!" Lol.

    Awesome night. Thanks for posting.

  • Sounds excellent, hope they bring it out as a single.

  • they have to release it as a single!!! I'm absolutely in love with Neil's version of this song!
