I was there that day, june '87 and in the camera shot as it drifts across the crowd at the beginning. What a day, best day ever. A band i'd never heard of (light the big fire or something), the dubliners, pogues, pogues and dubliners, lou reed then u2. Brilliant

I was at Wembley Stadium 1987, Joshua Tree Tour, and it still raises the hair on my neck and brings a tear to my eye to hear this today. Uplifting doesn't even come close!

Seeing U2 in 1987 was one of the most magical experiences of my life. their live shows over the past 10-12 years don't even come close. All rock stars age and cannot duplicate the magic they had in their 20s.

I am 16 and I saw u2 360 this year, I only wish I could have been alive to see them when they were like this. Don't get me wrong their still good but I wish I could have seen them 20 years ago.
