2 tips, no olive oil, let the skin stick to the plank, then when you remove the fish, cut it into serving size portions with a spatula or equal and place the pieces onto the plates.
tip 2 , don't remove the lid so much (unless that was to show progress for the video) It lets all the heat out and messes with the cooking time. It can cause you to over cook.
@BeeRich33 contrary to you hating in here, I did enjoy the video. It taught me how to cook salmon on a ceder plank which I never see down here in TX.....
@ZmannR2 THIS...is why the US thinks it needs a fence between Canada. 4% of them, know where Canada is, 2% of that 4% leaves all that to screw someone else, and 20% of the people up there have been sold on the new "Northern Paranoia." . 100% sad.
@BeeRich33 All I'm stating is that if you northerners invested a little more time and money in your grills you'd see why us down here love our BBQ so much. We don't grill we BBQ. Glad you got your "grade 7". You're almost there! Culinary arts is grade 9 I believe!
Soaking marinate is only limited by your imagination. Try adding some fresh herb branches to the plank under foods. What a great added flavor to plank prepared foods!
another awesome video, thanks for posting. I have seen many youtube instructable videos on grilling, and this one certainly is one of the beter ones. again nice job!

Why is it everyone outside of Texas has shitty lil BBQ pits bought from a store??
ZmannR2 10 months ago
@ZmannR2 LoL... I know I'll never meet you, but I bet I can give you a run for your money with that "store" bought BBQ!...by the way dumb comment.

@ZmannR2 You can not buy a BBQ pit in a store. If you want to "grill" you will tend to own a charcoal grill.

@ZmannR2 Where do Texans buy their shitty lil BBQ pits? What's a BBQ pit? First off, this is a grill, not a BBQ.
BeeRich33 4 months ago
@BeeRich33 they aren't bought...they're MADE

White wine apple juice marinade for the plant! absolutely brilliant! all the other vids just tell you to soak in water.

I wonder how it would work if you put the plank, and the liquid in a food saver?
