WOW...having never heard you before now and you being the second one that I've heard sing this...you're way better than the original who did sing it, but was cut from Aladdin movie, but added in 2004 special edition of the soundtrack. You have a gifted voice...hoping to hear more from you!! Thank you!!!
i hate u. u made me tear up, after an evening w my mom and having told her she can finally be proud of her boy cuz i finished my first final in college today ever. thank u :)
How very beautiful! I think your phrasing is better than Aitken's. You're very good at breaking down that (surprisingly hard) lyric and infusing each line with meaning. I guess it's hard to be intimate and nuanced when one has a full orchestra behind one, so Aitken should be excused. I think the piano setting suits the song better and it allows you to bring out its subtleties. Amazing!
Most ppl and even today's professional singers are just screaming when going high. The reason for that is they're pulling up their chest registers without releasing into mix voice ( head voice with chest presence).30min/day with SLS excercices and after 3-6months you will be amazed by the results by only doing some simple "lip rolls, humming, mom mom mom".:) You will easly find those excercices on the web...
The ability to so flawlessly combine music and emotion is one of the definitive characteristics I will always accredit when it comes to the success of Disney's previously animated features.
There is no doubt in my mind you could pull such things off - for it seems you already have.
There is no realm or alternate dimension where this would not be considered a masterpiece.
(Sorry for my gratuitous amount of compliments - but this was just that awesome.)
Wow and then wow again. Vixen, I really don't know what to say. THANK YOU!
You totally blew me away with your kind, kind words. If I ever start to doubt myself or wonder, "What the hell am I doing?" I will run to your comments and my confidence will be immediately replenished. Again, thank you.
Okay, so this comment is coming from a girl who, years prior, when she was still roaming the confines of her local high school, was thoroughly convinced she was going to MARRY Clay Aiken at some point in time (that was, of course, before he announced his alternate preferences) and I can say, with total conviction, that you, m'dear, are far superior - what with your spot on pitch and vocal interpretation of the lyrics. Even your facial expressions seemed genuine. And -
And you somehow managed to execute just the right amount of hand motions without crossing over into the realm of the melodramatic. Which is a skill that deserves to be commended and belabored, seeing as though such a feat is very rarely accomplished.
I suggest Broadway.
Or, heck - go petition Disney in person. I mean, how could they say no to that? They just may consider animating an Aladdin IV due to your incredible vocal clarity and innate talent to convey emotion.
I looked up several examples for my son (12 years) to get the idea of this song. I told him you were the best--you really are!! What a great example for a young singer to be inspired. I agree with the others who say you get how to speak on pitches. Singing is words and music--not just a beutiful voice. You merge them well!
Thanks so much for the amazing compliment. I think that's great that your son is learning this song. And I'm glad I can help him in some way or another. Tell him, "Good luck!" for me.
Thanks. He used the song this morning for an audition. He just loves it. By the way, you can check him out on Ragtime on Broadway: Montage. He is the Little Boy in the show. In the video, he is in the brown suit doing the play sword fighting, etc. He's loving broadway. You should consider auditioning someday.
Wow!! I work here in LA in the industry and really want to know if you have interest in pursuing this amazing talent??? I have played all three of your somgs and think you are far superior to Clay Aiken ( who I do enjoy) Idol is not rigged and you should consider that... however, I think that you would also do great here in LA. I'd love to get you into meet someone at Disney. Where do you live??? Could you post "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias??? I think you'd send it out of the park!!
Excellent! Beautiful tone, natural, perfectly charming interpretation, and to me, most importantly, genuine. You also do what the greatest singers do; you make it seem like you are "talking" to us, because your inflection and phrasing are excellent. The words that we hear you "speak" just happen to be on musical pitches. BRAVO!
Been hooked on this song all day. I decided to post your version (not Clay's) as my share on Facebook. I like the slower, more thoughtful arrangement. The line about not being born perfect gets me every time!
Speech Level Singing is one of the best singing methods on the market. This is the key for perfect voice balance and powerfull high notes. Once you learn and coordinate your vocal cords, you'll be able to sing everything with easy. I've been studying this for about 2 years now and this is amazing how it may change your tone, expand your range and make you just a better singer. I can feel that nice balance in your voice so I've been wondering if you're trained somehow:)
I wish I could express to you the emotions your two songs arroused. How I wish you had more posted on your site. Soon? Please? You have such an amazing, beautiful, passionate voice. I hope one day I see a CD from you. You, sir, are incredible.
Thanks a lot, CigarTop, for the comment. I wish I had more posted, too. I'm working on it, well, not really. But I will soon, though, don't hold your breath for any CD any time soon.
WOW! You definetly need to audition for american idol dude. David Archuleta WHO???? I think you DEFINETLY would go far, even win. This is almost on par with Clay Aiken's version. Bravo!
I love your voice and the way you sing. Are you a well known singer in your country?

great job, the long notes are great but the notes in the middle are a little iffy, just stay on the sharp side and sustain your breath!

Simply beautiful, amazing technique and the way you give of yourself emotionally to the song I can tell that you sing from the heart!!
btw: Clay Aiken doesn't have anything on you.

That was absolutely perfect. Even though it was a little slower than Aiken's video, it was still beautiful. ♥♥♥
I love disney, you NEED to be in like...a remake of Aladdin or something. O_O
