Only because everyone thinks they'd be one of the lucky ones that are smart enough to survive an apocalypse, they can't bring themselves to think that really they're all just going to die.
@RaptorBaptist Not at all. I don't hate anyone or anything, and I'm proud of that. I'm just going by the facts here.
Mankind has a negative impact on EVERYTHING besides itself. Example: Activists are fighting to protect and restore the wild. Sounds good right? Except that they're fighting to protect and restore it from the damage done by PEOPLE in the first place. We even kill one another to gain more to destroy.
So when mankind finally goes extinct, everything else will prosper. Good right?
Ok shitty trailers like this piss me off bad, if you are going to debut a game for the first time or if this is the sequel to a game that not many people have heard of, then fucking show some gameplay! What the hell am i supposed to infer from this 1:35 second long collection of clips? What that its a post apocalyptic world, k so what?
When the siren at teh end started, I thought it was going to break into the Pussycat Dolls song 'When I grow up'.
Post apocalyptic games will have to measure up to Fallout sadly, personally I found the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games captured the atmosphere far better than the Fallout games.
@AlienFirefox Yeah but still, Stalker had that deeper atmosphere, It made you shit your pants playing alone in the dark, Fallout never scared me. Not like Stalker does.
@AlienFirefox Hardly, the main story for both games is linear, but you have as much time and freedom to tool around exploring in both games without following the story.
Okay people fallout wasn't the first post apoc game wasteland was which was released in the late 80's and fallout is a great series but it seriously copies a boy and his dog in nearly every aspect except the 50's style.
Okay people fallout wasn't the first post apoc game wasteland was which was released in the late 90's and fallout is a great series but it seriously copies a boy and his dog in nearly every aspect except the 50's style.
Fallout took place in an "alternate" timeline where the "World of Tomorrow" came true. All those old 50s "House of Tomorrow. City of Tomorrow" etc cartoons came to pass. The 60s never happened allowing history to march on unaltered by the Vietnam war, the cold war etc until 2077 when the bombs fell, which is why the technology resembles the 40s and 50s but futuristic.
Now you guys say that this is copying fallout, but realistically the gaming industry is considering of coming out with more post-apocolyptic simulators RPGs and action games like Rage and MotorStorm:Apocolypse as well as Enslaved cuz they are gearing up for the fact of a "what if' scenario. Also game developers some what believe that these post-apocolyptic games will prepare us if (god forbid) this kind of thing happening to the world.
@THEfamousBOSS12 lol your such an idiot, game developers arent the chosen ones here to warn us of the future, post apocolypse games are just a cool idea
Those are not "fallout sirens" those are public emergency sirens used internationally in all countries during mass crysis, they test those around here once every monday at noon.
The actual Fallout 1 and 2 take place in year 3000 or something and mainly only the vault art is in 50's pop. Fallout takes supposedly place later on after the war between China and USA and has all the art design of the game in 50's pop art, this doesn't mean that it takes place in the 50's. Besides 40's theme is almost the same as 50's and theme doesn't equal time and place.
@taistelutomaatti Actually the Fallout series starts in 2161. I never mentioned Fallout took place in the 50s. And by 40s, I meant that kind of dieselpunk and noir feel. It's just that nuclear holocaust has become synonymous to a 1950s feel to me.
Hey this gonna be like the fall out games? The creatures here seem a pretty intense.... and thats good! Just drop one of these creatures in fall out 3 then people would freak out cuz i mean ghouls?? Not scary... but these things their different, so yeah i like the game so far. i hope its good!
Rage anyone :)

That is one view far too pessimistic to come from someone who doesn't hate themselves. and quite probably their entire lives.

@Stardrinkerx I strongly agree, As a fan of fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R I found that stalker had the better flow and atmosphere.

stalker is more kind of controlled

true
the blood sucker big roar and then bam
they should make this game a 1st person shooter
than the character movment issues would be solved plus 1st person looks better

@Stardrinkerx If by fallout games you mean F3 and New Vegas I might even agree, but the atmosphere in F1 and 2 is yet to be beaten.
LetoAtreidis 3 months ago 2
@Stardrinkerx If you're looking for realism I suppose, but classic Fallout had an insane atmosphere no one could even come close to replicating.
FirestormInfinity 2 months ago
@Stardrinkerx Opinions man, I for one, found stalker boring and repetitive, while I found fallout very immersive and atmospheric.
So as i said, opinions.

but most is carried away because the developers are Ukrainian

I was expecting something of a 1950s theme like in Fallout. A 1940s theme would be awesome, since Nazi Germany's still there at that time.
