I just have to say that "Noticeable One" is one of the GRATE rock tunes of all time especially from a percussive standpoint, the best drumming song that I knew except for Cream maybe. Missing Person's lyrical content is also impressive and stands the test of time better than songs from last week.
they were popular in the early 80s, thing is as exposure to english bands like depeche mode , new order, bauhaus, and many many others became popular in the major US cities and clubs missing persons was seen as prettymuch bubble gum pop.
@NateJZ110 a way to get more views on this is by going on every one of lady gaga's video's and mentioning this band and how lady gaga is a rip of of her they'll soon know what a rip off she is and this will have so many more views
I remember taking my boyfriend to this concert. Oh My God it's true. Everything in this century has been repeated NOTHING is original. I would love to hear what Gaga thinks of Dale Bozzio.
@hdryve4 "flat & average"? ha ha ha... just ask neil peart and jimmy chamberlin what they think of bozzio. bozzio has revolutionized drumming. he is a living legend.
granted, you might not like his style... but if it wasn't for him, the drumming world would not be the same it is today. without bozzio, there would be no thomas lang or marco minnemann. (both immensely popular; though i think they both are rubbish compared to the master. his secret: not only chops, but also musicality.)
@bassmanjoe lol you are right. I know he was married to her and she is hot, hell I grew up in the 80's I was just stating he looked like a real gay guy here thats all. Peace man.
@Sweezelballin lol from 4 months ago dude? I opened up for the band in the 80s. That's what I have done with my life... Wanker. And he does look like a fag
Saw these guys around 85' at Six Flags over Ga.,free concert back then with just areg. addmission to get in the park!! They were so good, Bozzio on set was an animal- as usual. One of the best shows for sure. Seeing this video reminds me how fortunate I really was!!!
@mydrumasnare I was there also and she wanted to come out in her see through plastic bra and they wouldn't let her! I was right down in front! First come first served! I also saw Sparks there! I thought I saw MP in 1981! Because my girlfriend broke up with me for some stupid reason at the concert! Oh yeah I was taking another girl to see Journey at the Ventura fair grounds, and she said if I did she would break up with me! I said why wait cause Im going! And I never took the girl!
wtf if they can show missing persons van halen triumph and the clashes sets why cant we get the rest like priest ozzy quiet riot scorpions etc. this my metal friends is a injustice to all metal heads every where we demand release of the us festival tapesfrom their dark prisons you bastards. lol.
Terry Bozzio was and IS ferocious on a drum kit! He was musical in his playing then, and he's (believe it or not) even MORE musical now. He really has explored new frontiers in drumming.
@NateJZ110 they need to be touring, or there record company pooring money in2 making people watch it. thats what fame and popularity is - its the of money put in2 a product, then they hope for the best cause they seriously have no clue
@italianman2112 I know he slams those flams so hard. All the drummers back in high school when this was out were like..OMG...Bozzio is beyond good, he's like impossibly good!!
That's Terry Bozzio he is definitely one of the best if not the best drummer in the world. If you liked him on this you should hear what he's done in the 25 + years since this was shot. From a drummers standpoint he plays a lot of stuff that seems impossible.
@owlcu: his name is terry bozzio...all 5 of these people played with frank zappa at one time or another...they were not at typical for new wave bands at the time...they could actually play their asses off...saw them several times in LA around this time, and would stand at the front of the stage right in front of bozzio's drums and just stare in wonder of his talent (while most everyone else was gawking at his then-wife, dale, and her outrageous costumes)...GREAT band
@nouwenthen man, how i envy you! i wish i'd seen them live! but i'm not from the states, and they were never big in europe. most of my mates have never heard of them.
