Sounds terrible. I'm glad I dont have to compromise and sell this stuff. And Im glad Im good enough that I make money playing music without having to play these new amps. I play a real Fender a 59 deluxe. A friend of mine bought his reissue to compare to mine. An hour later, he calls me "how much do you want for your amp"? Guys buy yourself an old Fender, anything until 80, some master volume ones sound real good, way better than this stuff or reissues.

The Fender make a better job on G3 Series Amps with your total digital modeling circuitry. Only one 12AX7 tube on Pre-Amp? OMG, forget it! The VM footswitch uses a 5-pin cable that is pretty much identical to a midi cable, except a midi cable doesn't work. Does anybody know the specs for this cable? Can't find anything anywhere.

@bluebangtheory -- thanks, I figured it out. My expensive Monster Cable midi cable did not work, but the cheap Hosa midi cable DID work. What's wrong with THAT picture?? Turns out some genius decided there should be two standards for midi cables, 5-pins hot, and 3-pins hot (the 3 center pins) leaving the other two as useless appendages.

So the Hosa has 5 pins hot, and works like a charm because Fender needs all 5. The Monster Cable has other uses and won't go to waste.

I just can't believe an official Fender promo vid is using just a camera mic. He pushes that mic into distortion all over the place. The amp seems like a great answer to the rapidly growing Alchemist/Haze style amp- some halfway decent dsp fx integrated into a solid amp.

From what I can tell, Alchemist is still overall best (but you pay for it), Haze has better all-around distortion, but this with a decent drive pedal will probably hang with the Alchemist (for less) and smoke the Haze.
