My name was "Mindy" as a child, (Until I turned 18 & could LEGALLY force everyone to call me by my "birth" name-not my "nick" name) and I hated his show "Mork &Mindy". I was teased ruthlessly in JR High because of it, "Dork y Mindy, Mark n Mindy, Forkn Mindy" etc. (It didn't help that I already had big glasses, braces, bad hair and poverty to deal with....) But HIM! I loved, with his humor and intelligence, speed and grace, even while playing a buffoon. But now, those beautiful strong hands.....

Hell, my 10 year old brother thought of it just a few months back without knowing a "joke" about it already existed. A lot of people rip off Robin's "Golf" bit a lot. Believe it or not, but comedians don't mind their material being used by other comedians. It happens all the time. Think of it this way, just because you experienced something, doesn't mean someone else hasn't already before you.

The obvious example of Joe Rogan/Carlos Mencia could be used,Rogan called out Mencia and others joined in, Rogan is growing in popularity and Mencias the laughing stock of the comedy world. It's more accurate to say that comedians simply don't do anything about being ripped off, rather than say that they don't mind it.
