@RocklandRednecks Yes the wheelbases differ but 103 seems to be the magic number. We use original beams and springs but beefed up arms and tierods.

i have a 95 inch wheelbase . I put 33x15.50s on it and blew the motor in one day! Mine is swing axle, but I have irs rearend how hard is it to convert, or is it better to just buy new chassi

35x14.50x15 and 33x14.50x15 just depends on motor and gearing.

whats the wheelbase on those buggies? are they irs?

yes they are all mostly irs, swingaxle doesn't work very well in the woods. they are average 101 inch wheelbase.

its a 2332cc VW motor. Some of the others are 2276, 2180, 2387

well at a guess youd need a bug engine i dont know of the limits etc in these races but if you get a new recon 1641 bug engine your lookin around 1k, then youd need the chassis from something light (id use bug floor) then the money for all the pipe and tubing (if you can weld well itd save ya alot of money haha) then the wheels and tires, your best off buying a non tax exempt bug and doing it that way (less too buy) abot a grand for a road worthy one here in u.k lol

Yes he got his steering fixed and his wheel strighten up, I missed it when I was down at the carryout helping my brother load up his 4-wheeler. I was in the Black and Red Packrat buggy.
