  • I wash my Maxima 1992 all the way with NO precautions and I have never had any problems. I guess its more dangerous with newer vehicles. My engine was CLEAN.. Its shown in one of my vids...

  • I want to clean my 4.0 Ford Ranger but the motor is really open so what is the best precaustions.

  • @GoGoggansGo if the vehicles is 5 years old or older....we recommend not to clean it.....if you do, be sure to cover any opening and or plastic or open wiring with a plastic bag and ensure no moisture can get in. Then you want to spray enough water to cover everything but not too much as to get it soaked and work on it with these products.

  • @meguiarsasia Thats what I have been wondering about it a 93 Ford Racing edition so its all motor but when I do clean it is use bug and tar remover and a tooth brush thanks for the info.

  • nice background music.ahaha

  • @MJCOOL82 the car is less than five years old so getting the battery wet on this particular car was no issue. The brush is sold internationally under part number X1020

  • while the detailing job was... not great... I would LOVE to have that JCW Mini <3

  • how to clean... a clean engine!!

  • looks like you sprayed water into the airfilter intake

  • i have an 98 bmw 318i .. u think i need to cover anythin in the engine.!

  • @167973j

cover the alternator, battery, and distributor/coilpack with plastic bag. then you can hose away. this mini cooper car was a terrible example for any kind of engine detailing.

  • @167973j

P.S. hose down a warm or cold engine, never spray cold hosewater on a hot engine, you can crack the manifold amongst other things.

  • huh? there was an engine in there? it looked more like my pantry. couple bottles and a box of something I don't remember buying... I think i saw some Karo syrup splashed in the back back there you missed....

  • THIS DROVE ME INSANE!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH STOP IT STOP IT..PLEAES

  • the brush ist extreme to big for a engine detail.

  • ho !! shine my old car! stupid stuff!

  • you can just spray an engine down like that? dont need to remove battery?

  • @BeAILsTaR13 best to cover it in plastic bag...but if the vehicle is new....should have no problem....consult your local dealer if you have questions about water

  • Man the engine was already clean before they even cleaned it try living on a dirt road and having dust covered all over the engine I airhosed it today and I coudn't beleive at all the dust that came out

  • How do those two products compare to APC and Silicone free dressing for the detailer line

  • @69chevymaro the detailer line products are for professional and are not RTU like the ones shown here.

  • i felt like i was in hawaii

  • great products.

Could you do same demo of this stuff on a 1998 Mitsubishi eclipse 420a model. I'm curious how this will work on my ride.

Alot of others would like to know also.

  • yeah this sure is hell doesent look like whats under my hood. Almost looks like its a toy car, but thanx for posting the video

  • madonna! it's a new car, pangculo!

    you born yesterday? not me.

  • I guess this product works great if the engine is already very clean... but based on this video, I am not sure how this will work on a dirtier engine... lol

  • why is this not available in the U.S.?

  • Spray water on engine ins't the best idea. Everything must be ok, but if you are finding for problems this is the way to do!

  • i've seen alot of videos on cleaning engine bay.

As a novince we're always scared to clean the engine.

On lots of videos, they always recommend to wrap the alternator and any exposed wirings..

but most of them dont show a "how to do it" for luxury cars with covers in the engine bay.

  • the car was already clean when they started.. how do we know if the product even works????

  • so after you put the engine dressing you do not need to wipe it off?

  • you can if you want a matte finish

  • i loved the music! lol

do de do do, do do doo dooooooo

  • @8191921 your correct, this is an enthusiast product and if you are worried about aftermarket sensors or loose wiring, you should avoid this product OR cover them with a plastic bag. If the vehicle is 5 years old or newer and OEM, its not an issue. Using an air compressor is great for removing light dust...if your engine is very dirty and you want to shine it also....this is a better option.

  • i use the store brand, name brands are overrated

  • that motor was not dirty, i will prefer to see another video but whit a pretty dirty car, so we can see how it works, i will prefer a motor plenty of oil spots and stuff, andsee how can it clean it, i love meguiars, i have a lot of the products but this video should be whit a pretty pretty dirty motor.

  • Totally agree !!

  • is it safe to clean the engine room with water hose like that?

  • can be safe best not to do it with classic cars or cars with a lot of wires under the hood

  • don't think it's safe either if you've got a cold air intake without any protective covering for it
