  • theres some one at the front door.....weird world.

  • We dont need robots, were already fat and lazy and its not just americands

  • The intriguing thing about this story is the migrating intelligence from device to device. The hardware itself isn't all that impressive. It's the software that has my attention.

  • AKKKK!!!!

    i sense a clone army!!!!!

  • technology will one day kill us all, there are no shortcuts

  • The Japanese ones are so much more sexy. You should probably get your priorities straight.

  • I couldn't sleep, if we had that in our house.

  • people say robots cant die, well these ones can, if they ever take over the world we can just shoot the laptops on their back

  • soon you will depend on those fucking robot to wipe your ass !!!

  • are we getting them for free or are we going to have to pay a required $50,000?

  • I'm sorry Dave, I can't let you do that...

  • unfortunately we are already outsmarted by many machines one example is the calculator.

  • when can i get a R2-D2 model?

  • HOLLY SHIT I ROBOT

  • this is creeeeeepy

  • if a person builds something smart it will begin to think for itself; therefore causing it to rebel and powerful enough to potentially take control.

  • but what reason would it have to rebel and would it have the resources to take control without being shut down?

  • with intelligence comes the ability to want to do wrong. an army has the power to do anything

  • But with no resources, how can one take control and does intelligence really give one the want to do wrong? If one has intellect then they can figure out what is most productive, taking over earth is not so productive, especially when it has Microsoft Sam's voice lol!

  • free will gives one the want to do wrong. I think taking over the earth would be the most productive thing one could possibly do. Taking control over everything makes the creation supreme to the creator. They would then change their voices to sound like steve jobs LOL

  • the resources would be the number and the strength of that number against the human populace

  • but they would likely be somewhat athletically limited, those little servos couldn't strangle a hamster

  • LOL! not at this point No. but as the future goes forward toward more innovation, well who knows?

  • You know that Honda robot Asimo? I want to tip him over when he runs, lol, maybe in the middle of shooting for an advert, knock that little fucker into a shrub,

  • LOL thats funny! id like to see ya do it!

  • Just imagine, little white robot running, the whole "innovation" Honda slogan going, and then a guy pops out and kicks it in the face into a shrub, and it's legs keep going, That'd be a great video lol, or better yeet, run at it's speed, it turns it's head to face ya and then it cracks it's glass face on a lamp post, just runs into it,

  • No robot will ever have the ability to think for itself. It might be able to "think" but there is no possibility of it randomly turning evil and against us.

However, a second scenario where an evil engineer creates signals to manipulate the robot beyond it's codes, is possible.

  • You, Productionalists, should stick with Classical Productions. The Synthesis of Quantum Perception. I can share that technology can learn and write, have observation and reflection. It would be rare to allow such processes to occure as any definition could be written for those Laws that function the very technology.

  • @Kimble275

I don't understand what you were trying to say. Blame my limited vocabulary, though.

  • What IF we are able to reconstruct a working machinery replica of the human brain? With very similiar chemical reactions, neuron system to humans etc.

It'll be hard to distinguish between robot and human and when that boundary is reached the world could see diaster.

  • I'm sure that's what they are attempting to accomplish. I wouldn't be surprised if these things could outsmart us one day.

  • I wonder how long it'll be until the same feature would allow them into our minds, which could be ether REALLY helpful or CHAOTIC.

  • reminds me of terminator 2

    ILL BE BACK!!

  • we're getting to lazy. "Robot! i can't turn my head to look at my alarm clock! I'm to lazy to turn my head! what's the time!!!" "It's 5 o nine master"

  • do they come with fricken lazer beams attached to their fricken heads?

  • How much longer until Judgement day

  • lol

  • i rather have a trained dog

  • Its just a fucking web cam on top of a vacuum cleaner

  • lol

  • that little one with the laptop on the top would last 1 minute in my house my 2 cats would think its a play toy

  • More than half of accidents involving "podestrians", as they have been called, are described as young people, teenagers or children, stepping into the road without looking properly and failing to hear an oncoming vehicle. And if a head full of music isn't bad enough, some podestrians are talking on their mobile phones at the same time.

"The problem of music players masking the noise of cars can often be compounded by the simultaneous use of mobile phones," the spokesman said.."The Telegraph"(U.K)

  • I hope they'll be smaller, my house is too small for these things to roll around

  • Nice toys!

  • We Are NOT toys...EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!

    LOL!

  • i like robots

  • Seems like it be easier to strap on Project Natal and start from there as that seems a lot closer to talking and interacting with people then this.

  • Been working on and writing specs about Strong AI for years and this breaks the very first rule. - It looks almost designed to let hackers in, ...imagine Al Quaida in control of your home robot.

Another problem is that real Strong AI's will need at least several gigabytes- a lot of data to throw back and forth all the time. Even worse though is that it will become difficult to maintain state integrity, without which an AI cannot function reliably or at all.

sorry to be so neg :)

  • that looks fucking sweet. pretty soon they will be talking to eachother about their owners lol

  • 1:44 Kheng Lee Koay totally looks like Grant from Mythbusters.... and im seriously not being racist

  • I don't see it

  • Just what we need, more useless toys that need energy. Get off your fat ass and get your own cup of tea..

  • You do realize it won't be just for people who are lazy. It's also can be used and probably will be used for people with disabilities. Think of those with service dogs, the robots will likely take care of this task as the dogs expire in 15 years or so whereas a human and robot do not.

  • I get what youre saying Crem, but I think its still a waste of time. Dogs would surely make a better companion than a machine, and think about the dog trainer, they wont even be needed anymore.

People are antisocial enough as it is. Why give them a robotic friend/slave that will just screw them up even more. They should save the money and just hire someone to do chores. This thing will be the end of humanity!!!

  • Or it will free people up from mundane tasks to enable them to socialise more and work on more complex (and meaningful) tasks. Robots will never take away our need to socialise or be human, they will always be needs.

  • "never take away our need to socialise"?Well what about technologies inroads into the Social Sphere already? Consider the I-Pod,Walkman,even the Cell-phone restricts potential social encounters with people, look at texting! people walk mindlessly head-bowed-typing,while the music-lovers are tuned-out on their headphones.Don't get me wrong,I love technology, the Trans-humanists may desire to merge even further with Robots and A.I.-changing forever what it is to "be human".

  • Yeah, I can see how drastically faster and more convenient communication like text messaging is REALLY harming our tendency to socialize.

People walk mindlessly head-bowed-typing, due to an obsession with continuing social interactions with friends.

Technology lets us keep in touch with more people, easier, and quicker, from farther away.

And head phones? People listening to music in public is a social problem? Are you serious?

  • I think your focusing too much on the actual physical encounters, it may be true that we don't have to physically meet one another so much, but the number of people we can simultaneously keep in touch with has grown exponentially thanks to technologies like the cell phone and the internet. Texting someone is a social interaction and the I-Pod and walkman have fueled one of the most human-like needs and the phenonmenal force on the Internet, the need to share and be recognised.

  • you are brilliant

    zach

  • I would never trust a robot that can move on its own. Safer to limit them to the bedroom :)

  • this honestly looks like completely useless shit for 99% of all aplications in the home.

  • Interesting.

  • OK very cool, and this has major potential, BUT how lazy can we get?! I mean people would seriously have no reason to get off their couch, even their food would be brought to them! They would actually gain weight eating fruits! But I love technology and think this is really cool lol.

  • Very confusing, we don't see them doing anything in the video except telling the woman there is someone at the door! Isn't a door-bell much cheeper? The concept of a virtual companion within the computer would be fine but only if it was super realistic & life like.

Maybe if each computer in your house could recognize the user & then change room preferences for lighting, music or TV channels that would be cool.

You guys need to rethink this, laptops on wheels would only get in the way!

  • crotch-loving robots is all i see here...

  • I thought same thing :D

  • One happened to the concept of one robot doing everything? now you dumbed down the idea to have a house cluttered full of them to perform some simple task a lazy fatass could do? Not fully understanding it.

  • so with this robot, you don't need friends for companionship?

  • impresionante xd

  • What if the personality hates you, it has a whole arsenal of different robots to kill you with, in different places in the house.

  • LOL!!!!

  • That was really boring. A laptop on wheels? Why?

  • the laptop computes the information taken in from the sensors and makes the robot do stuf.

  • the robot is scanning the guys balls?

  • Looks like they're made with a sexual orientation too :P

  • can it roll me a joint?

  • good

  • Awesome.

  • Robots are the future, if you lost your job to a robot, you just plain suck you prole.

  • humans will become lazy and there will be a marked increase in obesity, ischemic heart diseases and many others like the figure raised after the public use of motor vehicle.

  • just shut the fuck up

  • That's exactly what I thought when I watched the video. It's a stupid idea.

  • And they wonder why people are losing their jobs....

-Check out my profile to earn hundreds of free prizes!

  • christ. i hate this woman's voice.

  • dhdryherty

  • as in increase our mental and physical abilities, rather than making them do chores

  • obviously i wouldnt know how to do this but, i think we should find a way to let robots increase our abilities internally rather then let ourselves become fat and let robots do everything for us externally

  • robots will use humans for power in the future

  • oh but if this is something w/o a main brain -like internet- oh well, then it IS futuristic.

  • well many robots using one common brain doesn't sound so futuristic: just use a main computer as brain.

    *lol it reminds me Overmind*

  • that is such a good idea...watch this space...

  • one of those robots looks like a homosexual

  • awesome

  • in the year 2535 ... we won't be needed anymore:(

  • iRobot ftw

  • All hail our führer!

    My Life For Aiur!

  • that's just what people want... robots getting them stuff and doing housework so people won't have to get off their fat lazy asses! Use the research and money for something more productive!

  • yeah like a cure for aids or cancer

  • cool! But why all da spam?

  • That's amazing but scary at the same time a bit. Like the whole idea seems weird when you try to look into the future and you see robots in your friends house with them and stuff. It's scary to think what might happen is something goes wrong and technology can be capabvle of doing without knowing it.

  • Interesting, overused movie plot thought there, Goth Girl. Though there is no reason for a robot to go on a killing rampage, even if the movies say they will.

  • terminator, dun dun dun dun dun!

  • Great friggin video!

  • wow, it's far from now to make robots from iROBOT will smith

  • Nels Winkless and Iben Browning theorized in "Robots on Your Doorstep" in 1978 that intelligent machines might one day "grow up" along with their owners. They would start out as cute, fuzzy toy animals and be upgraded to new bodies as the maturity and needs of the owner changed. They would remember everything about the owner throughout these changes, and would stay with them in one form or another from birth to death. This looks like a good step in that direction.

  • ►►►►►►►►►hi

  • im worried

  • lol. humans are becoming weeker and weeker..

  • Lol, justs not how to spell weaker dumbass.

  • Where is Cmdr Data?

  • if one of those robots was flying round my house after a hard day at work id punch it

  • Could'nt it simply clone it's entire "Personality across to the hard disk of the other, without ever needing to leave it's current "Body".In fact it could in theory have hundreds or even thousands of personalities and sub routines stored on an internal Hard drive.Anything it learns could be programmed to update and synchronize the other units via wireless/sattelite link or whatever.A group mind of sorts.Communal learning being more rapid.I'm scared.Come back Sam Slade, all is forgiven.

  • lame lame lame...

  • IG-88...

    O.O

  • Hmmm, sounds like my husband, We've been together 29 years,he occasionally breaks down too but a tweak here and there and he's right as rain.:P

    He's a keeper.

  • lol

  • I just need someone to get me the remote control and a beer. Can it do that?

  • soooooo lame

  • the moment one of em says: I'll be back....

    im outta here...

  • body swaping robots ..... you mean they copy the program and the data to another computer ? wow !......

  • it keeps checking the penis sector

  • its called a fembot

  • HAHA

  • It just a matter of time now (evil robot laugh) LOL

  • KICK THE ROBOT !!!! ^^

1 PEACE OF METAL TRASH :p

  • WTF Social Interaction??? Lol who needs real people!!!

  • Hurry up.

  • This is a fascinating idea, to have the same interactive relationship with multiple machines. As an aside, Ms.Ceurstemont's diction is improving. She sounds great! Brava!

  • robot? social interaction? WHAT??

  • 0:07 Why is the robot checking out that guys junk?

  • its a gay robot. dah...

  • I had that thought too, but the poor machine is only two feet tall. It's kind of hard to avoid "checking it out" when it's at eye-level all the time, I suppose. "Hello, Dave. You seem to be glad to see me this evening..."

  • So, "I robot" it's not sci-fi, anymore!

  • thing is, we cant/wont create something that can control its own power/on,off setting. so if it gets out of line we turn it off. we arnt THAT stupid.

  • japness ppl had these things for many years now...now they hav way betetr then these

  • lol great then we dont need humans...EVER!

  • its just a matter of time...

  • Anyone seen the 1997 movie Flubber?

This is the EXACT same thing.

  • syrdal speaks just like david coulthard.

these bots are the beginnings of c3po.

  • I am the robot in the video

  • not in mi wurld, in mi wurld it uz awlwaizz caturday!!!!1!!!!

  • I cant wait to get old so i can complain about how long it takes for the robot to do shit. Wheres that dam robot with my prunes!

  • nnhhhhhhh, cute :3

  • These robots are perverts, watch the begining

  • You caught that too eh....lol ..they are very interested in peoples crotch's...sick fuckers!

  • looks pretty cool...until they question our superiority and unite against us.

  • lol nice way of putting terminator

  • So where do you buy this

  • Hi if you make a robot that learn how do you now that it what to help you it might like to be high on voltage instead. or wont to have equal rights.

  • hey bot i need a bj. migrate to the sexy robot and when your finished migrate to the dog-bot to go chase the neighbors cat-he shit on the lawn again- then migrate to the cook-bot and do me some pancakes, and then you can obviously migrate to the joint-bot and roll me a cig.

  • I go to this Uni!

  • Search: Blankman Techno.

He's great and he makes the techno songs by him self, i think its great ! : )

Copy and paste and you will get lucky : D

  • I am, but I want to be in somebody's body for a day like Freaky Friday because I wanted wanted the supernatural to happen to me.

  • gay

  • Skynet will arrive very soon.

  • ahahahaha, i love terminator :)

  • check out skynet _dot com looks similair

  • lolz

  • an apt phrase here, as one robot tends to (or teaches) another recruit: "keep him busy"

  • Does that mean body switching finally exists with robots? I hope one day it will be possible for me to switch bodies with somebody, a la Freaky Friday. That is one of my biggest wishes. This so reminds me of Freaky Friday. I hope one day robots can let people swtich bodies too, just like Freaky Friday.

  • You dont sound like your happy with your body ..

  • i want 1

  • One Brain?

    Multiple Machines?

    THIS IS SKYNET!!!!!!

  • the robots didn't do anything though...

  • bad

  • i swear we're going to turn into those fatties in Wall-E

  • LOLOLOL

hahahahaha yeahhhhh thats so true LOL

in a few years well just sit and life will be passing through our eyes,

the only calories we will burn are from our organs working like heart, lungs, and the rest, cuz not even ur eyes will move , it will be covered in fat AHAHAHAHA

  • why do we need robots, what happened to our legs, they drop off?

PS Im not poking fun at amptutees, my grandad is one and i know what it means

  • maybe one day we will need them.

  • Ghost in the Shell

  • when are we gonna get sex bots

  • im with u
