There are two different TRD Editions. The Offroad and the Sport. The sport has the limited slip diff and the offroad edition has the e-lock which is manually switched on
For one, its not the TRD OFFROAD EDITION, which has the locker. So you only have one wheel spinning in 2wd and 2 wheels spinning in 4wd. The TRD in 2wd would make it up that hill like nothing because it actually has both wheels spinning. So know your facts. Plus, the 2000-2006 tundras are better offroaders.
Toyotas only come with limited slip diff. as to GM's G-80 fully locking diff, which shits on everyone else's diffs. And im pretty sure a wheelchair could have made it through that dirt
