@qdfesr12345 True, but when I quit using conventional products, my body detoxed from these things, I broke out in acne constantly and did not feel well. So if you don't get a chance to detox, it must still get to hang in there dragging your body down, but you get used to it. Then there's the environmental concerns of these things, too. Mass production of these chemicals, and them being washed down the drain by everyone, is very taxing to the environment.

Your food and water is also poisoned as well. Do some digging, you'll find things such as sodium nitrate(known carcinogen) is added in large quantites to red meat, also arsenic(known carcinogen) is added to chicken in large quantities, and fluoride in your water is very toxic as well and will damage the Pineal gland and Hippocampus and is also a known carcinogen.

So if a product doesn't list that it has phthalates, but it says that it has fragrance, does that mean it definitely has phthalates?

@ribar3 Pretty much, yes. Also, they may put it as "parfum". Phthalates interfere with your hormone production and they are specially formulated to stay on your skin/get absorbed. That's why perfumes and scents of creams last on you;)

ALL ingredients/components need to be listed in ADS for cosmetics and fragrances - we need more transparency! Eliminate "may contain" in an ingredient list - each product must list ingredients so consumers can determine if an allergen/substance they wish to avoid is present.

tappedfilm, this is an excellent video but if everyone stopped buying toxic products, the manufacturers wouldn't stop making them, they would simply jump on the "green washing" bandwagon. (Like your example of Clairol Chemical Essences). As you no doubt know, so many personal care companies are disguising their toxic laden products as "natural", "organic" or "green".
