@srekal88 haha..I feel you. Im in my early 30's but still check for old school funk and soul that I have no business knowing lol. I guess its part of being a Hip-Hop fan and checking where the samples come from.
If you do not copy and paste this onto 10 videos your mom will die in 4 hours (Im sorry i just got this and now i'm doin this spam it cuz i luv my mom)
@Marth0nfire If you mean the beat that I scratch over at the start then its a loop of The O'Jays-Money...but if you mean the first track with vocals in then its The Gap Band-Outstanding.
can anyone tell me since there is alot of people with dj programs now. I feel like I'm a little lost, the reason I feel this way is I have virtual dj and I see alot of people using serato. Is serato better too use?
@Murphytech ..Yeah, Serato is a lot better than virtual DJ......Am I right thinking Virtual DJ is just software?..if so, then I wouldnt go near it with a bargepole..Serato gives you near enough the same feel as vynil which is what I, like most DJ's, started out on...you can scratch too...there is only so much you can do with virtual DJ, plus it is not really respected in the DJ world.
yea agree. i started with virtual dj using timecodes and midi controllers, but to be honest, its not really as bad as people say. still im gonna switch to serato.
where did you get that i know your gonna dig this sample , ive been looking for that and other old school samples , like the sample.....lets take it back to the old school!.....from nice and smooth or the other one that says ......were gonna go back.....wayyyy back ...... back into time ... where can i find these samples so i can use them on my mixtapes.
The "I know ya gonna dig this" sample is from a record called Hee Haw Breaks, a scratch tool for DJ's...you will probably find the others on similar records...what I do sometimes is use an mp3 cutter and take the parts I want and play them through Serato.
Yeah, its from Hee Haw Breaks...Im pretty sure that the "were gonna go back.....wayyyy back ...... back into time" sample is on C2C's "Flying Saucer Breaks".....as with the nice and smooth one you could try and use xM3RKS7ARx suggestion and cut the specific part you want with an mp3 cutter but if you aint got Serato it wouldnt work anyway.
oh i got serato, just got that mid february and i do know how to turn it into mp3 , i got too many editing programs , i just needed to know what battle record it came from , thanks bro!
The tempo thing is true. Older music if you listen real good the tempo changes. I found this happening mostly in r&b music.
