Jesse's girlfriend cheated on him with John from Taking Back Sunday, and Jesse wrote a song about it. TBS wrote a song later sorta apologizing to Jesse. They use the same lyrics "you're as subtle as a brick in the small of my back" because they're talking about the same situation from different points of view. TBS AND BRAND NEW BOTH FUCKIN ROCK SO GET THE HELL OVER IT.

@katezilla333 The Taking Back Sunday song about the same situation is called There's No I In Team. Both the band's have gotten over the whole situation and each other though. They're all cool now, John Nolan's even in Taking Back Sunday again now. They've even toured together where Brand New will start playing Seventy Times 7 or Taking Back Sunday will start playing There's No I In Team where the other band'll come on stage and start playing the other song over it. It's pretty cool actually. :)

becca your wrong this song was out before theres no i in team. the only reason tbs wrote theres no i in team is because brand new talks about the incident that ruined their friendship on this song, therefore tbs wrote theres no i in team. in theres no i in team they quote alot of brand news lyrics to. both great bands either way
