Considering the GT-R has a 3.8 litre twin turbo, all wheel drive, 4 seats, higher weight and better MPG tells me this is a marvel of engineering and highly efficient..compare the specs with the Z06. I like both cars but its certainly not just 'jap crap' even if pricey.

The 2010 gtr will not have the launch contorl due to the warranty issues and the new times are 0-60 in 4.5 and the 1/4 in 12.2 this information is at edmunds. So get the 2009 gtr now but if you use the launch control you will void the warranty and then break the the transmission.

Check out the latest car and driver test: Corvette Z06 vs Viper SRT10 ACR vs 911 GT2 vs Skyline GT-R. The winner? GT-R, hands down. It's the cheapest, fastest, roomiest, and most driveable car on the market today. $70k is a bargain for something like this. With the MINES GT-R upgrade kit this will stomp mostly anything else on the road.
I think the MINES kit is cheaper. The most crucial part is the ECU upgrade. evens out the power curve, makes it drive like an NA car, more low end power. Not that theres much turbo lag in the stock version anyway, but the MINES upgrade is on a whole 'nother level.

The 2010 gtr will not have the launch contorl due to the warranty issues and the new times are 0-60 in 4.5 and the 1/4 in 12.2 this information is at edmunds. So get the 2009 gtr now but if you use the launch control you will void the warranty and then break the the transmission.

For YOUR information, if you have a transmission warranty claim technisions do what is called a "tear down". If they find signs of abuse then your warranty will be voided...HOWEVER if they find it to be a manufacurers defect, it will be covered. NO WARRANTY IN THE WORLD COVERS ABUSE. READ YOUR OWN OWNERS MANUAL. It looks like you leave the RESEARCH to 12 year olds. By the way.

I don't understand why so many people compare the GTR to the Corvette. The GTR is a daily driveable supercar, meaning even in snow, rain, gravel roads, its fast everywhere anytime. It's a much better buy than the Vette. With that being said I personally would rather have the Vette, it's more back to basic's and a much better sportscar because it doesn't have all the electronic's and awd system driving the car for you.

I think the MINES kit is cheaper. The most crucial part is the ECU upgrade. evens out the power curve, makes it drive like an NA car, more low end power. Not that theres much turbo lag in the stock version anyway, but the MINES upgrade is on a whole 'nother level.
