Hiya Ben, i like what you did to a 90' CD changer and convert it to your XBOX 360, but what i DONT Like is the wires and the buttons that will control the carousel mechanism.. why not add an IR remote for the carousel and some LED Digit Display so you know what the disc's location is..

and the remote is embeded to your Xbox controller with some simple addtional switch.. or some combination button.. Back+Trigger.. or different button then trigger.

I think this is more like a proof of concept. Besides the Xbox tells you which game is in the drive, it just takes a little longer. But at the same time, if this is a Proof of Concept then maybe YOU could stick a digital display on the front to tell you which game is which. Be sure to film it though ae, =P

Personally I think it is because he was not interested in doing this project, so it was more of a chore for him. His attitude during the entire video does not have that "Ben Heck Mad Scientist having a blast" feel that we all know and love. We all know it can not be emulated. Oh yeah, there is. The tile for launching the game actually tells you what game you'll be launching, just like the Wii and PS3's interfaces. I guess that's how.

@Zaviex Oh yeah, 9 seconds is forever. You could have done so many other things with that 9 seconds, like getting up to go do something, but sitting back down because it's done reading the disc.

Really, if 9 seconds bothers you, keep a list of what games are in what position in the changer.

@Zaviex I'm guessing that when you place in the games they are in carousel position 1, position 2 ect. that then correspond to the remote which will say 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. so if you remember where the games were you will know :)
