  • Incredibly beautiful playing, I really like how into it you are, apparently 16 people don't know good music.

  • from Jose the Hermeterec......I much like your videos and have saved a lot of them to my favorites so that when I get around to playing the pieces I can look back at them. You are very good and I hope you will keep on posting these videos! I am also looking forward to you posting more movements from this suite this summer. You're right it all sounds fine in C major. An admirer, Jose'

  • that sounds amazing!!!! is there anyway you can lend me the tabs/sheet music for this? so great...wow

  • i like it,,,the bass guitar versions can sound good thruout you tube but it sounds better on aoucustic second to cello

  • finally a guitaris who plays this piece as it has been written: bravo!

  • I want to learn this too, but I´m a brand new beginner so I can only play the first measures yet...

  • Excellent performance of this beautiful piece, i'm learning to play this song but it's rather diffilcult that makes me even more impressed with your skills

  • your music brings calm to my heart. thank you for this wonderful performance

  • Beautiful! Thanks for adding it. You are an amazing guitarist!

  • Congratulations!

  • I really like the difference made by the key-change, thank you for sharing your performance! Check my rendition on my page!

  • fantástico, perfeito, maravilhoso! muito talento! Brasil marcando presença! :D

  • dis niggas got aids too

  • Koseikubota, this is incredible. Do you have a video teaching others how to play this piece?

  • you play in an odd key!!! impressive. I think I play it in D major.... don't remember. It is much harder this way i think.

  • Does anyone know where to find sheet music online for this? (Free?) THanks!

  • needs work!

  • fantastic

  • u r trluy blessed, thank you!!!

  • Very nice!

  • you sir touched my soul AMAZING!!!

  • Totemo jozu desu! I am impressed! Excellent performance, well done!

  • good very goog

  • extraordinary

  • that last note looks painfull.

  • we are the music makers. and we are the dreamers of the dreams.....

  • amazing

  • excellent performance and arrangement

  • Thanks for sharing. It's very common that this piece is transposed in D, with a drop D tuning. I actually prefer (and play) the C-version, which is (in my opinion) closer to the spirit of the original (no low-D bass from the very first bars). The only problem is that the last 20 bars should be play with a pedal in high D, which is a bit technical (the Dm version uses the open E). You actually play the open-string D, but it does not sound exactly as it should (1 octave too low).

  • Is there a tab for this? I'd like it alot.

  • There's sheet music for it, classical musicians read music.

  • There is sheet music for it, whereas classical musicians read music, not tabulator.

  • i will upload next my segovia version of this piece

  • Very Very good 5/5!

  • tout simplement magnifique...

  • good arrangement .......Excellent

  • Very nice! not as incredible as a cello playing this piece, but still fantastic.

  • love it..

  • I love this music, is really really beautiful

  • glorious!!!

  • awesome....... all i can say........

  • Awesome!

  • To stiff.

  • genius

  • nice and clean playing, greeting from Holland

  • i have to agree with snipersEND on this. it was clearly written for a bowed instrument. i've also heard this on clavichord. the cello is the best instrument for this piece.

that being said, you played it beautifully!

    very nice!

    thank you for posting

  • Good job for doing it on the guitar but it just isn't the same

  • alright.. I don't play as good as this guy does, but as a listener I would say that this did not have the required feeling to the peice.. especially at the end. just my opinion.

  • Man! Here it is, :D heard this piece in the movie Master and Commander. This piece makes my brain to think of absolutely NOTHING... nad thats.....good

  • fantastisk (Fantastic) greetings from norway

  • Incerible. BRAVO

  • Genial! Bravo, maestro!

  • Beautiful.

  • VV honest halo's right

this guys good but he puts no feeling into his music. Feeling is music my frined

  • Feeling in music is subjective. The only idiots who argue that are people who don't play music or have a poor education in music.

  • just beautiful, congrats on your hard work and terrific result. well done.

  • that was really great !!

i play the julian bream arrangement of this piece in d major by the way

    anyone with me ?

  • I'm with ya superfosi. I do it in D too. In fact, I'm performing it in a couple of days, which is what led me hear ; )

I've never heard anyone do it in C before though.

  • A little bit too fast for me, but thats just me, otherwise really great!!!

  • VERY NICE =)

  • It is also very feasible play this piece in A major tuning the 6th string to D. It allows for the climactic ending to be played with fingering and notation of the original cello piece using the second open string and playing the melody continuously on the 4th string all the way up to the 14th fret. This is the best way to replicate the effect Bach intended on the cello.

  • This is aweseome!!!! im learning one in the key of C also by Stanley Yates ive got the 6 suites.the first prelude is hard enough to get through lol i have no idea how im gonna get through the first suite. But Bachs music is something i must learn.

  • I also play a version of this in C that I modified from a cello transcription, and enjoy your transcription very much. I usually use more rubato, but it depends on my mood. Keep it up, and I hope to see more of your transcriptions and performances.

  • ....e il trasporto???

  • beautiful, i love the pauses you make randomly in the song, hmmm but i think you should try the song legato, i think it would be amazing if you tried it like that, because we dont see if often and you can deffinetly do it with your technique

  • simply beautiful...

  • Very well done. I'm working on the Parkening D major version, and know it's no easy task.

  • Nice playing

    Congratulations

  • Amazing playing. (nice working on the song too)

    I agree with ''donPabloArturo'' completely.

  • Very nice, Kosei! and congratulations for your great idea!

  • Nice one

  • Hello Kosei Kubota. 5 stars. One for work on guitar, one for performance, one for arrangement, one for idea, and one for your passion.

  • Congratulations! A good piece, excelent playing.

What took you to transcribe to C major?

  • I took off "guitar bass notes" from ordinary D major guitar version, and I felt it rather empty. So, I took one step down to C major, and the whole suite sounded fine. Other movements will come later this summer!

  • @koseikubota great transcription, could you please tell me where I can find notes with this ? I prefer this version than dropped D. If I could play like you...
