  • dyno slips to prove it?

  • is the pd engine better to tune?

  • diesels are hard to get speed out of, good for pulling but standard its slow, why do peopel talk down to others skilled or with enough effort that manage to pull it off?

  • luv it! drive a chipped AFN on my own! many drivers are just seeing my smoke literaly, because the torque is phenomenally in comparison to maybe 60miles per gallon... thats force! and economically a cheap fast car!

  • Do any of these mods hurt the longevity of the engine? Did they help or hurt the MPG?

  • does it still get good mileage?

  • Very nice, been thinking of adding some more power to my 97

  • sounds like shit...

  • A 3.6 295bhp fsi vr6 would leave that for dust

  • it's fake anyway's that video and everbody can notice it too.....

  • how can it be double the torque of a vr6 when a stock vr6 is 172bhp, get your facts right dickhead before you spout your mouth...

  • @MsWilderman bhp is horsepower. torque is ft/lbs so idk what you're trying to say....

  • A 200bhp vr6 would piss on that for sure that is only 90bhp and slow.

  • fake!!!!

  • no is not same RPM broo u can see on shadow when RPM go back ? u are stupid guy :P

  • Actually this is legit, I put 205mm injectors on my mk3 tdi and that alone was enough to beat my friends 06 tdi. Plus it has 318,000 on it. with a new injection pump. Friends Tdi has like 20,000 on his. We did a 40- 120mph sprint and I smoked him....literally lol

  • well 80-140 was pretty damn fast :D

  • gofl 3 1.9 tdi (i red),110hp Vmax=193 km/h

    golf 3 1.9 tdi 90 hp 200km/h hahahahahahahaa IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

  • I call bullshit. I've got a chipped 2006 tdi and it's fast... But this must be up on blocks. Cuz the acceleration stays constant and doesn't slow down at higher speeds. If it had that kind of power at those higher speeds it would be a lot faster at lower speeds. And where's the pause in acceleration when you shift?

  • whoah whoah whoaahhh, volkswagens are brother they dont eat eachother for breakfest they eat other car's....damn

  • Ppl forget about torque and how it works. Must be a bunch of honda guys watching lol. Wont take a vrt though:P

  • Thats good Car!!!, i have a 2002 jetta tdi std, and i have runnit no more than 123 miles, TDI's are #1

  • sounds awful quiet and stock lol

  • very g@y ...

  • ill eat you up in my VR6

  • wow everyones a hater, this is clearly real. i didnt believe it was fast but 60-120 in 20 seconds is pretty fast, thats about what my r32 does give or take. and fake really? it show mph and kmh so its not switched and claiming it was the rpms? wtf you can hear the car shift. and watch the odometer? its correct. 0:16 to 0:19 covered .1 mile in 3 seconds thats 176 a second which is equivalent to around 120mph-

  • I know the post was nie months ago but I could well believe hat you smoked a vr6 cos I matched one and even started to pull out on hime until we reached the police station and back of. I was in a leon 110 bhp leon with big injectors an a tunning box. Power was 160 bhp and torque was 381nm.

  • its legit listen to the wind fuckin moron

  • Some people are very stupid here. They believe that torque is eveything !! OK your diesel has torque more thant vr6 but you dont have 7000tr/min. So you have nearly half engine rate than vr6. My friend had BORA TDI 130ps with 310nm torque he make chip he reach 175ps with 410nm but i ate him with my vr6 190ps 270nm soo dont forget. Disel more torque less RPM , Benzine less torque but much RPM.

  • yeah..especially considering that claiming he was going that fast , that quickly, he only covered one mile. Watch the VID again and pay attention to the Odometer

  • thats fake he is just shaking the camera to show its moving but no its not on the move as thats a digital speedometer and he have just connect the car's rpm cable to the speedometer,,, too easy to watch and say its FAKE

  • @parweze7 this car isn't even that fast... 40-100 mph took 13 seconds... it just looks fast because the speedometer measures everything in increments of 10 mph and the speedo only goes to 120. when i first saw this, i figured it was WAYYY faster than my 01 gti, but my 01 gti's speedo goes to 160, not 120, and its measure in incriments of 20 mph.

  • TDI FTW!!!! VR6= front heavy over complicated P.O.S.....VR6 owners...have you done your timing chains yet? most likely not, enjoy driving your grenade!!!

  • I WANT ONE IN MY FIERO

  • and the mod is, "fake speed"

  • Damn this car is shifting.......Now at least I am motivated to do a TDI conversion in my golf...good work

  • cool, sounds strong, i have audi 100 turbo diesel, i fitted turbo from saab 900 with 1.4bar , did all the pump mods, it pulls 135+mph , not so much low end torque now but it revs right out and keeps building boost all the way to governer cut in!(5000rpm) swapping turbo was the best thing i ever did, the stock turbo might make big boost numbers but is nothing more than an exhaust brake over 3000rpm! im track day booked for 6march, cant wait!!... keep sooting! enjoy.

  • There really are some proper idiots out there with their "vr6 faster" tosh.

That's one awesome pull on your Golf, i'm in the middle of transplanting my modded 1Z into my Caddy, rust has killed the Golf :(

Love nothing more than annoying Imprezas with them.

Anything else planned for your beast?

  • what do you mean by : Hybrid turbo ?

  • Im curious, does this have stock gearing? stock size diameter to the wheels (even if its running big rims)? its just 120mph in my petrol 1.8golf, although a struggle to get there with 90bhp was about 5-5500rpm, the diesel red line is a bout 4500-5000rpm and only slightly higher gearing?

I suspect it cost a packet for the mods to get it to 200bhp!

  • id kick your butt with a 2.5 klze mazda engine in a mx6

  • @450blouin those things dont have the torque to compare with this tdi, it wouldnt be quicker until you charge it, so start saving your pennies.

  • where did u get da fmic and do u no where i can get 1 for my mkv tdi (105hp)

  • have u raced a vr6 turbo with chip i/h/e full exhaust?

  • ive got a 96 PASSAT vr6 with 288 tt cams, high comp head gasket, and a custom cat-less exhaust. I hit 120 pretty damn quick and my car isnt near as heavily modded as I anticipated. Either way, that is one smokin TDI you have there, and mad props on it. I wish I could screw the torque of a diesel out of my petrol engine

  • Mod's include switching the speedo cycle from MPH to KM. :D

  • @CubeLuda

I'll take that as a compliment because i know the car is real :-))

  • @CubeLuda

When you switch of gears you have the same RPM ? --' stupid guy !

  • im sure this car can outrun a stock vr6 of its era. ive been in both types of cars.

  • nice hill ^^

  • TDi is for senior citizens.

  • Nice

What kind of power is it producing now?

  • What boot does the methanol give it,

  • what has it had done altogether

  • @jjoe90 Mostly listed at the top of this page: 'Mods include: Race520's on std bodies with modified opening pressures, custom built 11mm inj pump (bosch H&R, camplate + rolers), special build hybrid turbo from turbo technics, FMIC, Methanol injection to name but a few'

In simple terms: Big injectors, custom built injection pump, Hybrid turbo, Front mount intercooler, water/methanol injection, custom exhaust with decat, custom remap, Racing clutch

  • @Redituningcouk Which were the one or two mods that really seperated your car from stock? Did you need to do any preliminary work for that mod?

  • im sorry but as much as i am Golf TDI lover there is no way this slow car could beat a golf vr6, come to think of it, a standard 140bhp 2l tdi,

if it has double the power then it is only just slightly over a vr6, and a vr6 would have reached 120 a long time before 40 seconds, or whatever it was

  • @jjoe90 Sorry, you're wrong!

The car has at least 200hp but more importantly nearly double the torque of a vr6! How you figure a car with less power and only half the torque would beat it to 120 mph is beyond me!

FYI: It has raced vr6's both on the road and on the track and emberrased them every time.

  • @Redituningcouk

    /watch?v=MQGulfh8PDk

    Faster than your TDI.

  • @Redituningcouk you dont get to top speed with your Nm but with HP. The torque is awesome but the souns is shit. Anyway, maybe you could outrun a vr6. Search 4 one and let us know!

  • @Redituningcouk The extra torque probably explains why the tuned TDi beats the VR6.

  • @jjoe90 That is cod! examining that footage, there is no way a VR6 would ever out-do that rate of climb. The VR6 is normally aspirated and even if it had a turbo it still wouldn't climb as quickly as that, it might if it had twins. The only other car I have ever seen break into those sort of climbs is a Civic Vtec Turbo. I have never seen a fully normally aspirated petrol climbing speeds like that.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t Try the Honda S2000 it might surprise you.

  • @adamslurch71 It hardly weighs anything so its in its favour so it wouldn't really surprise me that much.

  • been a while since ive watched this video, makes me laugh how people think its fake?? easily acheivable with a vw diesel and the knowhow, loved my passat but sold it and regret selling it. just a chip gave me 158hp up from 110 and torque went up to 255.8 lb/ft, made it so much more usable and amazing mpg, with a few mods these engines are amazing and the gearboxes just keep on running till you get more than 300 lb/ft ish then its uprated clutch time and carry on

  • good thing about it is because of its might torque it just pulls and pulls even in triple figures

  • is fast

  • Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatsss hahahahaha!! This is crazy i never taught that turbodiesel 1.8 could go at such speed

  • @AlexxSR Its no surprise, you must be one of the very few people who have raced around in their petrol and have never come across a driver in a TDi, who has probably decided that they don't want you getting past them. Its quite scary when that happens and if you are in a petrol you might aswell give up. Diesels will rip the bollocks off a petrol and my Seat Leon loves to chew and spit out the bones of overtaking petrols.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t Well yeah you're right it's pretty scary.. When you think that this engine had 90 hp at the beginning. I wanna try to do this with my turbo diesel mk2!

  • @AlexxSR I'd love my Seat FR PD to have more overtaking torque and run like this Golf, the Focus 2.0 TDCi's are really starting to get on my tits now. They aren't as quick as mine off the mark but they seem much better on overtaking mid-range. I might bin my standard GT1749VB and replace it with a Variable Vane turbo with an actuator or keep the stock 1749 and twin turbo it with a bigger one. The 1749 is ok, it spools well enough but it lacks strong torque for decent overtaking.

  • if you think a vr's pistons will melt you should do research buddy, u can run atleast 15lbs on a stock head, last winter i rebuilt the whole top end, bottom is still stock but can push 699hp before it starts lettin go, this isn't an ebay build 6-7lbs no thanks i saved up and got the real gt4202r

  • it takes you 30seconds to climb to that and i said when my vr was "stock", id like to see u follow me now on 20pounds of boost

  • @jamesmothafucka How funny, your stock VR has suddenly sprouted a turbo! Mate, If you are shoving 20lbs into a VR you've either got about 1 run of hard accelleration before pistons melt or you've spent £20k+ on a shitty old golf to give it 500hp+! Either way, not comparable to a diesel golf that only cost about 3-4k to build in total, returns over 50MPG and has been running very well for over 2years.

  • If you're gonna post pork pies about what you've got please do a bit of research beforehand............ Most VR6 turbo conversions run around 6-7lbs and make around 350bhp. Even at this level you need a head spacer to drop comp ratio, bigger injectors, intercooler, uprated fuel pump, rising rate FPR etc. etc. Please humour us all with the list of mods you have done to allow 20Lbs of boost on a VR, c'mon i dare you, I'm up for a laugh!

  • Oh yeah, in answer to your question ' id like to see u follow me now on 20pounds of boost' This would be quite easy really: you would put your foot down, the car would instantly pink its tits off and within a second or two your pistons would be melted. LMAO!

  • @Redituningcouk "quote">Oh yeah, in answer to your question ' id like to see u follow me now on 20pounds of boost' This would be quite easy really: you would put your foot down, the car would instantly pink its tits off and within a second or two your pistons would be melted. LMAO!

PINK ITS TITS OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LMAFO LIKE A MOFO! FUNNIEST ISH I EVER HEARD.

  • @Redituningcouk - Not picking sides, just clarifying. 1 of the most popular turbo kits is, Kinetic Motorsports stg1 non-intercooled setup. Popular by price. Its still chipped, no fpr, and has a small injector upgrade. Thats it. That only puts out 245whp. With an i/c at that same psi isnt much more than about 260whp. 10psi makes around 350whp with a exhaust. More with a stand alone over the C2 ecu in the stock computer. Were also talking the VR6 172hp version. 2.9 still wont make that hp either

  • @Redituningcouk - btw, nice sleeper... were starting to do a winter project swaping in a tdi into a 79 rabbit. Some mods i am sure. Cant wait to see how it drives, let alone daily driven. gotta respect the tdi, shame we dont get the euro one's :(

  • couldnt eat up any vr, had mine doin 140 stock and it didnt take 30seconds

  • @jamesmothafucka HaHa! You are wrong! It would embarras your VR - FACT! It has raced plenty with the same result every time. Yes you can do about 140 top end so maybe you got 5mph on the diesel but getting there you've got no chance. your car has 174 bhp and only 173 ft-lb!!! This golf has over 200 bhp and around 350 ft-lb.Nearly double the torque! If you are so confident you VR is quicker post a video of the instrument cluster as it accellerates.

  • 90hp? i call these BS.............that looks more like 250+hp.

  • @07SiPOWER Holy sheep! Does nobody read the title!

WAS 90 hp! Read description and you'll see the car has a lot of modifications!

  • wheels arent on the ground :)))))

  • @achiko88 Yes they were, look at the light reflections changing as the car drives along on the other video, it even goes under a bridge towards the end, this you can see quite clearly if you look.

  • @Redituningcouk just get a friend to video you doing that, and show out the window.its not that difficult

  • lmfao. ANY vr6 > ur pathetic piece

  • @Bittner22 Please explain! if you have a video of a VR6 instrument cluster as it accellerates and it shows that it is quicker than this car then maybe you can make a comment like that. Problem is, you cant show that because there isn't a standard VR6 on the planet that will pull like this car! FACT

  • TDI///POWERRR

  • It was 90hp but now how many?

  • at what presure does the injectors open???

  • @BoeriuOvidiu 210bar primary 330bar secondary, they were set up to these pressures closely monitoring spray pattern and atomisation for optimum results ;-)

  • @GarrettKeetley hahahaha nooo you cant thats whats so special about tdi you get insane low end torque, so unlike a normal petrol car like a volvo 850r might have equasl hp to torque 200hp and about 200 ftlbs. a 200hp tdi could have any where from 270 to 400ftlbs of torque. soo diesels dont have much hp but they have more lowend torque than any petrol car could achieve

  • so what he can only get to 180 Km but the vr6 can get to 280 Km HA HA HA HA HA LOSER

  • @mustafa092 You sir are the looser if you think a VR6 can do 280kmh!

It is not about top speed......

This car will beat ANY standard VR6 on ANY road upto 120mph FACT

  • @Redituningcouk ooo yahhh i bat i can beat you with my vr6

  • @mustafa092 If you owned a VR6 you would know it does not do 280kmh!

You are a joker. BTW the car has raced several VR6's both on the track and on the road and emberrased them every time!

  • WTF?? :D

  • secondo me ha sotto 120cv

  • 90 HP??? i bet i can guess the two mods. 1) A floor jack and 2) a set of jackstands!!

no way, even in a vacume could a tdi accelerate that fast on the top end. I have one and 90 HP would be wailing at that speed. LOL pretty funny though. thumbs up.

  • @rotoryway have you actually read description? its 180hp++ becous it has couple of mods..

  • @S3l3ct1ve I am an ASE master certified auto mechanic and have been for 15 years! In order to maintain a constant acceleration through the speed in this video it would take closer to 800WHP. You have no concept of mechanical engineering or physics if you belive this video is real. A 96 TDI weighs close to 3500 pounds, first and foremost you would need roughly one fifth of the body weight in horse power to overcome aerodynamic drag as well as ground resistance. educate yourself and you will see!!

  • @rotoryway Haha! your 15 years hard work gaining 'ASE Master technician' status obviously counted for nothing! This video is 100% real! I'd love to see some of your calculations to show 800whp would be required to accellerate like that, this car only had just over 200hp at the flywheel! Its all about TORQUE with diesels. Perhaps you should take a little time to educate yourself! There are plenty other modified tdi's with similar power/torque and some quite a bit more

  • A good start to 'educate yourself' would be to familiarise yourself with the search function on here, there are plenty of similar cars on the drag strip accellerating to 120mph+ quicker than this video shows. Its always good to be 100% sure of your argument before posting a snotty comment trying to make yourself look intelligent - quote: 'You have no concept of mechanical engineering or physics if you belive this video is real' It would appear that is a very good description of yourself! :-p

  • @Redituningcouk also I am non negating the fact that this type of performace is possible because by all means it is just not with 90HP.

  • @rotoryway It states clearly in the title 'WAS 90HP' if you read the rest of the description you will see it has many modifications and runs over 200hp. Take the time to read before posting........

  • @Redituningcouk Ok then do another video that shows the car moving and it might make it more belivable. I also have worked on direct, indirect and common rail injection turbo and non turbo diesels and am quite confident I know the inner workings if these engines better than you assume I do. Post another video that shows the gauge cluster as well as out the windshield and I will gladly eat my words!!!!!

  • @rotoryway You will see from the date this video was shot a long time ago, the car has now been sold. We do have some footage from a track day at Oulton Park showing quite clearly how quick the car is (once again embarrasing some of the big boys!) I'll do my best to find it and post it on here and finally put to rest all the people who think this is fake.

  • @Redituningcouk I would love to see a track video. I have owned an '82 jettta diesel, an '84 rabbit with the 1.7 carbed engine, a '92 golf with digifant and i currently drive an '81 rabbit diesel pickup. So to restate is this kind of performance unrealistic? for most "yes" is it impossible? "not by any means" Rudolf Diesel got a patent for the diesel engine if february of 1892 on technology that did not exist. In order to produce the engine it had to be detuned 88%. high power is possible!!

  • Well i bet this video proves that you can F with your 15 years experience and laws of physics /watch?v=QzWMK5BqMkE&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL cuz i know this car in real and this video is 100proc. true.. it has about 300HP now and 500Nm its constantly tunned.. Also you can check black smoke drifting team who are drifting with diesel mercedes and doing it pretty good without need with weight probably double this golf has and no need of 800whp..

  • what's the difference between CL and GL versions of mk3? dashboard and A/C?

  • jackstands

  • Funny, If he would drive @120 M an hour then his Trip (Kilometercounter) should change much faster ;)

  • @RatedGbe

He covered 1mile in 36 seconds, thats pretty quick for a TDi Golf ;)

  • @evanbatterman

nope you can swap 5th gears on tdi's to make them be able to go faster, if you have a highly modified engine such as this one.

IRRC i think most standard 90/110bhp gearbox's only will let you get around 135mph..ish? where as if you change it you can go faster and you can see increased fuel econonmy because your rev's will be lower, going a faster speed. if that makes sense..

  • it can't be stock TDI, 90 HP

  • you must be putting out an insane amount of smoke, with that much fuel delivery upgrades and no fm intercooler, or exhaust system your EGTs must be through the roof!!

  • Car has FMIC, water/methanol injection, De-cat, 3" high flow exhaust, smokes less than your average Mondeo!

  • Oh and EGT gauge..........never goes above 800F ;-)

  • wow impressive, I just thought you only had the injectors and a modified fuel pump because of your description. how do you feel about the water injection. some of my peers say its bad for your engine because TDIs don't burn as hot as gas engines. Do you notice any negative effect?

  • None whatsoever so long as you don't use more than 50:50 mix and the system is set up right. Gives a really clean burn and keeps intake/head/valves/pistons etc. spotless ;-)

  • wow thats really interesting, how complex of a system is it to install?

  • fair play mate

  • Nicee

    fast tdi :D

  • great job!

did u reinforce the tranny cuz it seems like stock?!

  • Nope STD gearbox - been like this for a couple of years now with no probs :-) Strong box!

  • at 35 sec you can tell he went under a bridge or something. so more than likely not on blocks

  • have you done a 5th gear swap?

  • @mrxbrightside

you do 5th gear swap From tdi's to other vw trannys. not the other way around

  • In fact you can get a longer 5th gear for these............ but this hasn't.

  • There you go TDI Power. =)

  • false

  • hahah not many golfs go like that i can tell ya lol haha ffs

  • steht auf der hebebühne!!!!!!!!!!!!deppen

  • @albanersusssauer .. wieviel wind isn bei dir an der hebenbühne du depp ...

  • tacho: 40mph = 0mph

  • listen to the wind!!! you are wrong!!

  • those 90bhp TDI golf can easily do that spped trust me i own a v-tec civic and thought i had power until i raced my brothers 95 golf tdi and it dusted me off the road. if u want torque go 4 a tdi diesel.

  • is it bad for your car if you do this. (put it on a lift/blocks,ect)??

  • if i was making a video to illustrate the power of a car i would lift the camera up at least once to show that its actually on a road and ot just in a shed sittin up on blocks like this one,

  • you can see the changing light in the dash like its going under bridges and stuff so i dont think you'll find it is on blocks. - but i might be wrong!

  • whauuuu

  • where does it show that this car beats a VR6?

  • Not on road

  • @srebrnapustica Yes he is, you can clearly see the shadows of either bridged or tree's in the speedo glass. And hear the wind. Think about it before you comment. If you look at the spec list in the description, this speed is easily explained.

  • der fährt doch bestimmt berg ab

wie soll ein 90 ps tdi so viel kmh schaffen

naja schaffen könnte er es aber der

    beschleunigt zuu schnell finde ich

  • wer sagt das er noch 90 PS hat???

  • diesal ! try a 150ps. or stick to your peteral car!!!!!!! vaxhall nuva terbu

  • 10 min car !

  • Loll

  • yeah this would def. eat a vr. with the mods done it should have around 170-190hp with well over 250ft.lbs of torque...depending on the amount of boost he's pushing.with that hybrid turbo i would say around 25-28lbs of boost

  • you fuckers are stupid....why would this be fake? its a slow ass vw. is it that hard to believe its a diesel? euro diesels dont sound like cummins trucks you know....

  • Dosnt really sound like a disel, I dont know why but im not convinced from this vid. I have a 86 mk2 gti1.8 8v check out my vids n leave comment

  • 100 miles more and the car will do a max speed of 0mph.

  • I love how everyone is arguing its fake...Duh.

Who cares, it isn't fast anyway.

40-100 in 14 seconds? Thats not fast.

  • Comments are eneabled, so people can say anything..

I too think this is fake, and it is...

  • No shit its fake.

But it doesnt matter. It is still slow.

Faking how fast your car is+it still being slow=FAIL.

  • the car keeps accelerating while u shift....fakeee

  • It's fake, watch the RPMs drop with the mph.

  • Ever wondered he could push the clutch?

  • The RPMs drop wayyyyyyy too slow for him to be pushing the clutch. It's on Jackstands and he left it in 5th. Besides like someone said earlier, the door chine came on long before the car was stopped.

  • BEAST!!

  • listen at the end. he gets out of the car and you can here the little bell go off when he opens the door but the speedo is still dropping. i bet he was still when it said 40. his speedo is WAY off.

  • woow great !!
