when i watch a show a lot, i tend to identify the characters with the actors, & thus it's hard for me to enjoy seeing a different actor playing that same part. thus i'm not interested in seeing non-original actors play in the dukes of hazzard. on the other hand, it might be fine to have a movie about the next generation of dukes, in which the new set of actors play as relatives of the original characters,& maybe some of the original actors could make brief appearances as the original characters.
AWESOME~!~!~!~!~!! Makes Me Want To Watch The Movie Again, LOl Then i have To Remind Myself It Wasn't As Great As The Show, 5 Whole Stars From me Buddy~!
Just the good ol' boys, Never meanin' no harm, Beats all you've ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they was born. Straight'nin' the curve, Flat'nin' the hills. Someday the moutain might get 'em, but the law never will. Makin' their way, The only way they know how, That's just a little bit more than the law will allow. Just good ol' boys, Wouldn't change if they could, Fightin' the system like a true modern day Robin Hood.
@DukeBoyO1 Yeah, Willie changed a few lyrics. Including a key phrase. He changed "Makin' their way the only way they know how" to "Makin' their way any way they know how". Changes the whole meaning. Plus, Waylon says "Fightin' the system like a'two modern-day Robin Hoods." Which is just the way classic country singers used to sing.
I never saw the Movie the Dukes of Hazzard. Mainly because to me it didn't look good. Interesting to see "Willie Nelson playing Uncle Jesse" since he not only sang the song for the TV series but was the narrater for it all so.
thats right, Waylon and Junior Brown was the only two Balladeers I ever knew.... lol man, most ppl still don't know shit about the best t.v show of all time, (rated with todays trash t.v as well)
I didn't know before seeing that movie that Junior was going to be the balladeer... but as soon as I heard the voice I knew it was him. Huge Junior Brown fan... hell you can even hear "my wife thinks your dead" while Hogg is boiling crawfish in the movie!
@Astraldragon1 - The Balladeer in the original TV show, was Waylon Jennings, not Willie Nelson. Waylon also wrote and performed the original theme song as well (that is Waylon playing the black and white Fender Telecaster guitar in the original TV show opening credits)
That was soo good. It so has the feel of the original tv series opening. Also I for one liked the movie, it made Hazzard seem like a real place for me. Instead of just a town square set and a lot of backlot shots. Anyway well done.
Well, terible is a big sugestion, entertaining yes,'specially the trailer, but the true about TDOH is that the originel will alway's been beter, like many movie's some rerunn's are okay.. but starts to where out after several month's.
Like grease (toltal diff.movie)1 is a classic two is hmmm pleasant,3 Rubbish.
I liked to directed the movie, die hard duke fan my-self,but i was stuck in iraq at the time it was made, but i'm wrighting 'Adolph's typewrighter' just the script it's jut an idea?!
@SidJustice1 I got to agree with you, this may well have been the worst movie ever made. I have to question the I.Q. of people saying this movie was awesome - they probably also married their cousin and sweep up wood chips for a living at the local paper mill in their hometown that has a population of less than 500.
the red baropn is a 1970 ford mustang boss 429 with racing stripes, thir are some rumors that the general and the the red baron are in a move called ''adolph's typewrighter''
That was incredible! It must have taken you ages to put that together. Even the music was timed right to the clips. A must for real Dukes fans - this SHOULD have been the intro for the film. Well done.
this movie is a trash and only good thing about this movie is just general lee

That's correct, it is 'Beats all you never saw.'
Willie Nelson's version wasn't totally correct. The original version from Waylon Jennings was indeed 'never saw'.

@Astraldragon1 Actually the credit for original theme song/narrator goes to Waylon Jennings.
