I have a Galira Runner SP 50 and I was curious are they street legal? Do i need a license? I bought one of my buddy for only $750 dollars. I paid cash. It has German license plates and was told that I cannot use it in America is that true?

@Matt2779 It's probably possible to make it street legal, but it wont be if it has german plates and you live in the u.s.a. xD

@MrFredHoogendoorn Thankfully I called my Department of transportation and I can indeed use it in America I cannot take it on major interstates though. Only Streets and local highways. I know the thing is worth a lot more than 750 us dollars correct? Its a 2010 model and it only has 500 miles on it.

@Matt2779 Nice! Are you allowed to make it go faster? In holland they have to drive 45 km/u mine does 85 becuase 45 is way to slow. Mine has 2100 miles on it and it's worth about 1400 euro (2009 model) so yes yours is probably worth a lot more xD.

@MrFredHoogendoorn The top speed is 60 MPH. I just found out that in certain states if the bike is 5 or more horse power I will need a Motorcycle endorsement. Which I think is bull. At least in my home state of Arkansas I do not need the endorsement. I think America is more strict than most other countries on the driving laws.

@Matt2779 xD but the scoot has about 5 hp stock. My scooter would get confiscated and destroyed if it would be able to do 60 mph so america isn't that strict + you don't even need a license. If it does does 60 it is far from stock. You don't see many scooters in the us do you?

@MrFredHoogendoorn I do not see many scooters in America at least in the little country town I live in. I know in bigger cities like New York and California would have more riders there. My Scooter is truly unique I could not believe it could go that fast. For the first time today I ran it at that speed and did not want to stop it was so fun! I know my scooter is far from stock. Those Germans really know how to engineer. I had my scooter appraised for $2500 USD today.

@Matt2779 2500 0.0 They are like 2700 euro new. There are many scooter here in holland simply because of the fact that everything is incredibly close together and because of the economy and you can get your license at 16 2 years before your car license.

@theacexxl soooooo wrong kymco is actully tiwanese make nothing is chinese about them just to correct and yeh gileras are better kymco 4t engines are extremely reliable but shit slow piggi 50 engines are well qwick
