  • They are just feeder fish

  • Goldfish live up to 10+ years... also fancy goldfish min requirements are a 20+ gallon tank for a SINGLE goldfish and another 5-10 gallons pre added goldfish. and on top of that goldfish tanks NEED to be double over-filtered because they are such dirty fish.

The common feeder goldfish need 40 gallon fish tanks... and live just as long

I think the Fish N' flush is better... right tank size for a betta all one needs to figure is attaching a heater for it.

  • fish watch you masturbate

  • ROCK ON FISH'N'FLUSH!!!

  • Great Video, Check out our Toilet Tank Lid Videos!

  • soo stoopid.

  • We only have your word for it that these fish have lived in this tank for two years, I'd be surprised if they lasted a month. This idea has been tried in the past with disatrous consequences for the fish. Your idea is cruel.

  • The change of water level, the noise plus the chemicals in the city water will stress the fish and often shorten their lives, especially when people flush their toilets often. Imagine you living in an aquarium and the water level goes down every 30 minutes with a lot of noise and chlorinated water pours down into the water you live in and drink...

  • It is a creative idea, but it is also nasty and tacky. Should be popular with Rednecks and Chavs should any be able to buy one.

  • okay to be honest this is just a bad idea...

  • Better have well water. City water is chlorinated.

  • Great way to refresh their water regularly.

  • Those fish will have a terrible view

  • lol-nees

  • lol aww that's to bad this will kill the fish that's would be such a ingeious use of space otherwise!

  • it wouldn't kill the fish, the stuff in the bowl never reaches the fish on its way down

  • don't do that, the fish will die.

  • the fish gets water changes every time you shit

    and flush! hahhahahha =]

  • dude

    keeping a fish

in ur toilet tank? thats the most bad thing u can do to a fish D: but nto as worse as having them in the bowl... and stare at old men shit

  • the fish willprobably have died within the first month. that was the worst fishkeeping i have ever seen. honestly

  • That is a pretty bad idea. I guess when a fish dies it is pretty easy to flush it though...

  • u r fkn cruel

  • That is not how the real toilet tank flushes. In a real toilet tank there is a smaller tank behind the fish tank where the water flushes from.

  • You shouldn't keep fish in a tank that small! It's not ok, they need more space to swim and places to hide and rest.

The thing with the tap water depends where you live - in Germany a lot of low maintenance fish, like guppys, are kept in tap water, mine do fine in it and reproduce as well as the dwarf shrimps.

  • wtf you can't put fish in tap water dumb ass.

There chlorine that will kill fishes and the temp change constantly...

  • Thats such a random thing to invent...im sure thats the first thing on every1's wish list :S

  • thats horrible...they shouldnt be treated like that...they can die from shock and stress you know...and chlorinated water?! tsk tsk

  • Poor fishes get exposed to chlorinated water..

  • tahts a terrible thing to do to the lil fishes

  • stupid and cruel...

  • haha lol they have to stare at an arse every time someone goes for a shit! and a dick every time someone goes for a pee! theyve seen alot in there time!

  • Lol what if u take a dump and somehow the crap goes in the fish tank. lol i can imagine it. anyways, do u flush a fish down the toilet to add fish to the fish tank?

  • looks like it fills back up pretty slowly. Lots of people just put straight tap in their tanks on water change day. but the temperature change might bother them.

  • its gold fish...temp doesnt matter

  • Wouldn't it be a better idea to house an aquarium behind or in front of the toilet section they are currently being held in.

Also, the area for four fish is INSANELY small.

  • As intriguing as it is, this is borderline cruelty for the fish involved. Goldfish live 20+ years when cared for properly, but kept this way you'll be lucky to get a fraction of that and their quality of life is.. nil. Goldfish should be provided 20 gallons (76 litres) EACH in an aquarium or an adequately sized pond (one inch of fish per square foot of pond surface). What you have are just juveniles.

  • While I do agree that this is cruel, these are not goldfish bred for ponds. They are like toy poodles, smaller in size. They will NOT grow to be big and 20 gallons for each goldfish is crazy, you do realise the size of a 20 gallon tank is adequate enough for around 15-20 small fish?

This is really cruel and the water flow when the water volume decreases causes a great deal of stress on fish. this is why people suggest when changing COLD WATER fish, they are placed in another tank.

  • Goldfish are not "small fish". Juvenile goldfish are small fish, but they do grow. Comets like the ones shown on this video grow to be every bit as large as an oscar. Can you imagine keeping a juvenile oscar in something like this? Goldfish don't come in small, medium, and large breeds, either. When conditions are poor, their growth is often stunted and adversely effects their health and shortens their lifespan (not unlike selectively bred canines).

  • Notice how a significant amount of water is left in the tank, it appears to be around 1/2 of the original amount. I can imagine two different things, either beneficial bacteria is being used to help combat the chlorine or the city of Beer-Sheva, Israel has lower chlorine levels than the average American city. This obviously would not work for brine or salt-water fish, but the hardy goldfish don't seem to mind straight tap-water.

  • thats cool but mean

  • the water from the tank flushes the bowl?? and then normal tap water refills the tank? doesnt the chlorine in the water kill the fish and what about the temp of the water?

  • same water uses for the flush, the Tanquarium in the movie is installed in my toilet room for almost 3 years now... and its the same fish living in it from the first day (one died after year and a half - old age i belive).

    {continue in the next post}

  • @tanquarium

The Lifespan of a goldfish is 30 years.. old age my @ss..

  • people hwo know about fish will love to explain how this thing could never work without letting the facts confuse them, but the thing is, it is working... when fish are not feeling well, when they stressed, when they panic, they just die.If you come to Beer-Sheva, Israel, you are welcome to sea it for your self - cofee on the house :)
