Kobe gets more free throws because of his style of play. Dirk is more of a spot up shooter. Historically spot up shooters average less free throws per game than someone like Kobe who takes it to the hole. Still though, statistically, Dirk averages 7.4 free throws per game, not far off from Kobe's 8.9. It was just one of those games where Kobe got a lot of calls. I agree though, I don't like refs deciding the game. It goes both ways though. I've seen it work 4 us and I've seen it work against us.

actually I was just referring to yesterday´s game; it´s annoying when a game is decided by free throws, especially when the refs call no fouls for three quaters. But anyway I think Kobe  will get the trophy this year; kind of overdue, the last years their record was just too bad.
