In fact I see only more and more young people who like Rock N Roll, and it warms my heart. I would also point out that I actually like country, but not that type.
(Sorry if my language was a little wrong. I'm not so good in English since I come from Norway)
Sorry if I seemed a little bitchy and have my own opinions. But I still have great faith that the Rock N Roll will be back. Not that I want the 60-70s back, but that we can form our own future with the lovely music. I'm not going to stop believing that, no matter what. I'm not stuck in the past because I love the music from that time.
Im also not saying that Zeppelin wouldnt have done Country-songs, but not in the way Plant is doing it (Or that was what I meant). Led Zeppelin will always have their own recognizable sound and style to create music in their own way. But the cooperation between Allison and Plant is almost completely different, I think, after hearing some of their songs.
You must admit that it is a bit disappointing? I am not saying that there is no injustice in what youre saying, but I dont think that zeppelin would change their music so much.
"If Zeppelin had never broke up, they'd have been doing stuff like this. Always changing, never stagnant, always creative"
You're full of it! I don't think Led Zeppelin would do country if they never broke up. Oh my god, where is your rock N roll-soul? Yes, I belive they were always changing in a creative way, but not in a way that they lost their sound!
I think maybe you're the one who doesn't know anything about Zeppelin. I've been a Zep fan since, I'm guessing, before you were born.
Go back and listen to "Down by the Seaside," "Gallows Pole," "Tangerine," "Hot Dog," "Black Country Woman," "Battle of Evermore," and "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp." Then tell me Zeppelin would never do Bluegrass or Country.
For the record, Earl Scruggs was one of Page's biggest influences. Bonzo loved country music. All of them loved folk music. It's a natural.
@ItsudemoAibon I love the 3rd album.. "Tangerine" and "That's the Way" is awesome.. BUT WHATEVER! I don't like Allison Krauss.. They did "The Battle of Evermore" very good, because it's a Zeppelin song. But the other shit was crappy!
I don't get why Robert Plant fans are so shocked at this stuff. This kind of musical exploration is exactly what Zeppelin was all about.
If Zeppelin had never broke up, they'd have been doing stuff like this. Always changing, never stagnant, always creative.
The problem with a Zep reunion now is that people are going to expect Plant to rewind his career back to what he was doing 30 years ago. It'd be like going back to high school. I'm a little surprised Page is even pushing it.
dont know if i like it that much

I was at this show, it was just great! Thanks for posting and letting me relive it all over again. It's worth reliving 1 million times more.

Badpdx: You also said that you were a "little surprised Page is even pushing it." So anyway if he liked Earl Scruggs, he still continues as he does.
