I want the BEST quality camcorder I can get for less then $1000 (that I could possibly get on eBay around or less than $500). I was originally going to purchase the HDR-PJ10 by Sony, but then I realized I don't need the projector...I really am just interested in video quality. I will usually have good lighting etc. I also need it to be reasonably simple to use (not the most techy person). Also, is it easy to upload and edit on iMovie'11 and Final Cut Pro? Any suggestions? Thank you :)!
I use Music maker 16 or MX Premium's for anything audio/FX/homemade music. The excellent and included "music editor 3" I defined in Sony vegas pro 11 as the wave editor of my choice, it is superb for removing hiss etc (just sample a part containing hiss alone first)
@8x50scope This mic has a slight noise when you use it, especially when you zoom in and out. When it is windy out it is worth having! I have some footage that I have yet to put up that clearly shows this!
That sounds awful, when zoomed out, only happened by the lake though. When you zoom out the mic 'zooms' out as well to pick up sound in the zoomed area, maybe it was picking up a motorboat/mower off in the distance?? maybe check mic sensitivity settings??

Does your internal mic turn off when using this external mic? I'm having issues with mine...
