  • So BEAUTIFUL!

I keep dying faster, one note at the time

  • My ears r bleeding

  • This is so funny! Why did people pay to see her? This is too hilarious! The comment Derek made about a strangled cat is hysterical! The cat would sound better than this!

  • I've read she compared herself to Luisa Tetrazzini ahaahahah

  • >:D CONFIDENCE! = what the world heard >_> TT^TT my brains are crushed...

is she even saying the right lyrics? O_O I sing this song everyday... What on earth is she saying?

  • Caruso was a big fan hahahahh????!!!!

  • who is strangling that poor cat

  • 1:30 - 1:37

    enough said.

  • she was very wealthy and bought out carnegie for the show

  • Ive never heard anything like it im suprised that she was actually allowed in front of an audience she sounds like a bull farting through a trumpet - cats being strangled shes terrible

  • this is weird and ugly

  • i'm tearing up, this.... is.... BEAUTIFUL

  • couldn't be worse....

  • excuse me with all due respect but it must be an urban legend to suppose or believe that Caruso was an admirer of Miss Jenkins, and if he was he must have admired her comical skills

  • BRAVO!

  • People who went to her concerts obviously were laughing behind her back

  • At least she knew the words.

  • I love this! I wonder what Ms Florence thought of her own abilities: was she really a delusional diva or did she do this just for the notoriety?

  • @FlavioSousa35 The sad thing is that she genuinely thought that she was talented. She dismissed the laughter from the audience as being 'professional jealousy' of her talent.

  • The voice of an angel! It would put the celestial choir to shame. . .

  • Beautiful singer

  • I had a husky with terminal constipation and one nut once. He sounded better than this.

  • something new i learn...thank you for posting..

  • It's so awful, it's awesome !!!! Cracks me up .... Love it.

  • This woman was clearly delusional of her own abilities. Why are these people always American?

  • @duggs95 They're not... -_-

  • @duggs95 Because even though they think they're good, Europeans are doomed to obscurity because no one ever gives a crap. Americans just know how to laugh.

  • @duggs95 do you need an answer? :)))

  • @duggs95 She snuck across the border from Canada. No one in Canada ever missed her.

  • Kocham Cie Florence ........

  • high note sound like a dog moan in pain >.<

  • @wangfu1989 She kinda' sounds like a moaning dalmation... and same here --> >_<

  • this hurt my ears, fuckin rat

  • She is TONE DEAF. Has to be.

  • wtfffff no

  • And this was before autotune

  • @bossyrobert

probably this song was the reason to invent autotune...

  • What I love about Florence is that after a car accident, she believed it actually improved her voice! But she approached her singing career with as much gusto as her money could buy.

  • I was a DJ at a college Sta. On my regular Oldie/collector show during a fund raising time, I played FFJ promising that when a certain amount was pledged, I'd take her off. It took about 1 1/4 minutes. My show exceeded its pledge requirement for that period. Our schtick was original RnB 78s from the late 30s to the mid 50s. The FFJ 78s from the mid 40s fit right in.

    Peedah

  • Les presento a mi maestra de canto. Con orgullo me declaro su fan.

  • The pianist is working so hard.

  • Check out Parrot singing opera.. It's much better !

  • I sing worse than that.

  • "People may say I can't sing, but no one can ever say I didn't sing." She said it best herself.

  • jesus christ

  • Ooooh....My poor loudspeakers!

  • It has a subtle suspicion of there being a Jazz quality to this..

  • Fabulous classic - so very bad, it's good!

  • Believe it or not, no less a musical luminary than David Bowie is a "fan" of her caterwauling, and has a collection of her albums!

Like a train wreck, I guess - horrible and gruesome, but strangely compelling...

  • @SMD1964 Also John Carlo Menotti as well as Caruso. At least this is what I read. I also read that Menotti used to hit his own feet with a walking stick in the most excruciating moments so that to prevent himself from laughing.

  • This is simply painful...

  • She sure hits some sour notes, but we here in Wilkes-Barre (Florence's home town) are still proud of her.

  • This is called "Queen of the Night"? More like "Queen of the Crap"!

  • @lurch321 "Queen of the Night" is the name of the aria she is butchering (/watch?v=C2ODfuMMyss). But.... it's funny.

  • I'd love to go to one of her concerts!!! :)

  • Must have been all masochists in the audience, I wonder if they were all wearing ball-gags and nipple clamps...

  • yes this was murder on the high C's

  • Comment removed

  • someone should autotune it.

  • did u ever see friday? it beats the crap outta this

  • So this is the female version of Chaien!! gotta love her sense of humour!!

  • Wow—this is even worse than Rebecca Black.

  • @wonderfulkitty Nah, I actually preferlaughing m head off to this rather than lsiten to that TERRIBLE song.

  • My cat just jumped through the window and fell 5 stories. Thanks a lot florence foster jenkins.....bitch.

  • Needs autotune,

  • she's not worse at all...it's just the high pitches that makes the song worse

  • The worst part about this, is it isn't even jokingly bad. It difficult to listen to.

  • better than rebecca black

  • I aint even mad

  • My reaction /watch?v=wyDDfV1o_es

  • This is Justin Bieber's dad, after puberty hit him.

  • Florence Foster Jenkins is like Health Food. At first it comes down bad, but soon the soul is nourished by the pure original interpretations of classical music.

  • Clown!

  • Does the CIA know about this track? I'm sure it'd be more effective than water boarding

  • she looks like a very ugly taff

  • You could autotune this

  • She seems like a nice lady. Too bad she opened her mouth to sing : /

  • The translation of this is, "Gotta have my bowl - gotta have cereal."

  • You ahve to feel sorry for her poor pianist as he would have had to listen to that over and over during practice. That was hard going just listening to almost 4 minutes of it.

  • rebecca black in her past life.

  • @Yumiyuri LMFAO xD

  • @Yumiyuri Scratch that - Rebecca Black and a dying cat in a past life.

  • @Yumiyuri britney spears, more like it.

  • Susan Boyle?

  • Someone needs to go back in time and autotune her.

  • The scary thing is, people paid a lot of money to hear her "sing."

  • Now I know who inspired Rebecca Black.

  • Hell is slowly leaking itself into our world to give us a glimpse of what awaits us I think.

  • DX

    OMG THATS SO BAD!"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @K2stazh What do you say ? she´s really the queen of the night...a really dark and stormy night...a really mortal night... not the queen from Mozart... but really a very terrific queen...a very dark queen of the night... the most of the most...of the worst from the worst... listen to alessandro moreschi if you want to listen more bizarre recordings.

  • DX

  • Hmm hey dawg - pitch-cy at times - didnt really do it for me - trouble with the ability to sing in tune --Poor song choice I think .. ... Doesn't get my vote - sorry - What do you think Simon ??

apologies to the jackson dude on American Idol

  • dang, we had this the whole time...and we chose water boarding??? lol

  • AGHAHHASHAHHAHA

  • .........and here I was thinking every old piece of music is art. There goes my theory lol.....

  • @HereKittyKittyxoxo

    best comment ever XD

  • The reason i went to the store to buy a new pair of speakers... god damn.

  • i would like to hear this autotuned, please.

  • My cockatiel bit my ear in fear, then flew back to his cage (which was all the way across the house). He was terrified.

  • After that the pianist said ¡Fuck this shit im outta here !!!!!!

  • she cant go as high as she wants

  • my dog howled from downstairs :O

  • Yes! She's the original Saturday night heart breaker. Bis, bis, la rivogliamo!!

  • Is this a recital or a rectal?

  • before autotune.

  • @pumpkins2smash this still sounds better than autotune

  • @TyphoidExcel I beg to differ. when used correctly you shouldn’t be able to detect an artist is using autotune. when abused it makes that weird synthetic sound.

  • Better than Justin Bieber

  • imagine her in bed. SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK. It'll be like doing a mouse.

  • She is the Bieber and Britney of her time.

  • what

  • Nice imitation of an excited puppy.

  • She'd do well on the current X Factor in London. It's kinda short on talent this year.

  • She sold out Carnegie??? I don't usually like to criticize, but my God, she betrays every principle of musicality, everything we try to stand for. It's simply awful. Comforting to know, in the moments when the gigs don't come in, that this is what's happening out there...that public taste means nothing. Or, that it's those who 'know someone' who get in!

  • @carolsudhalter She sold out Carnegie because people liked to laugh at her. They would burst into applause into most excruciating moments to cover laughing. Read about her, it's fascinating. Apparently when she sang "Clavelitos" in her Carnegie Hall recital, one famous actress became hysterical, they had to carry her out. Google for "interview with Cosme McMoon", it's her accompanist or just read about her on wiki. The Carnegie Hall performance was in 1944.

  • all LOL's aside, she's pretty fearless for doing this and really going for it despite everything. you know what? WERK!

  • it's really not that bad.. i don't think she's the worst.. haha.. but i don't think she's good either! sorry..

  • this is what it sounds like when i jack off

  • SHE'S MY IDOL!!!

  • haha sounds like me on a saturday night walking home after a night out!

  • better than beiber

  • Sounds better than any pop music since about the mid 90's.

  • she sound like a tortured puppy

  • o -o; ... what she singing ? ...

  • @GreenBlossom45 --- Some Lady Gaga tune, I think.

  • gyaaaaaa!

    my ear hurts XO

  • This really isn't so bad. Taylor Swift sans autotune is way more horrible.

  • Thats bad

  • Jesus Reginald Christ!

  • She must be where the members of KISS got their attitudes. Ever see Ace Frehley after one of his noise laden guitar "solos"? He stands with his feet apart, hands on hips and nods approvingly of himself.

  • new american idol

  • According to Wikipedia, she was observed more out of humor than signing ability. They laughed at her. Despite scathing criticism, and even polite critism, she was convinced of her greatness, and called it "Jealousy". She even compared herself to some of the world's then-greatest singers. She was in denial, she couldn't wake up and see everyone was laughing at her...it's sad. But she apparently wasn't the worst MUSICIAN. She should've just did that....

  • o.o

  • hahahahaha u alll right

  • This actually scared my cat.

  • well her singing is a lot better than most of the crap now. Because at least this doesn't sound like auto tune and come out sounding like a cyberman

  • It's like you know you're being tortured if you were invited to one of her concerts! LOL!!

  • wow, you're not stupid enough if you don't have wings and tiara!

  • Wow!

  • yikes....
