  • A real man!

  • "There is no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend." In this case two of them. I never knew Mike but he will always be considered a valiant man to me for his extraordinary actions.

  • "In that terrible moment he had 2 options... to save himself or save his friends... For Mike, there was no choice at all."

    CHILLS

  • Older men declare war.But it is the youth that must fight and die.And it is youth who must inherit the tribulation, the sorrow, and the triumph that are the aftermath of war...

  • 8 ppl disliked this vid cuzz he died

  • rip :'(

  • rip :'(

  • How can someone dislike this????

  • Im speechless

  • Mr. Monsoor, Thank you sir. And thank you to your family. God Bless.

  • this guy was a bad ass!!!

my friend served with him.... Rest in Peace...

  • put yer guns down

  • I guess there were 7 pissed off insurgents. RIP Mike

  • Who the eff would click "dislike"...seriously

  • Say what you will about President Bush's policies, but you can never deny that he felt the weight of his decision to go into Iraq and Afghanistan. You can tell just by watching this video that he understood the costs. He's a class act and a good man and he forever has my respect.

And as for Michael Monsoor... well, words can't describe. He represents the very best of America. Never forget him, his family, or his sacrifice. May he rest in peace knowing there's a grateful nation behind him.

  • Thank You brother.

  • Some will never forget RIP

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL MONSOOR

  • Mike Monsoor was a brave Navy SEAL who risked his life for his other SEALs and he is the best after loosing his life hes still the bravest of Navy SEALs that gone before him

  • this is nothing like the john basilone's MOH ceremony alot has change!

  • god bless monsoor

  • People do not understand how fragile every nation in the world is. The United States of America is no different. We can unleash WWIII any day or be the victim of WWIII. President Bush is one of many great leaders who realize this and chose to invest time and money into the selfless soldier instead of the selfish civilian. So anyone who blamed President Bush for the U.S. economic slump is absolutely correct, but for good reason: to PROTECT our nation and our people and, ultimately, LIBERTY.

  • @m0onst9er yep lost jobs, tax hikes we cant afford, schools shutting down, YEP! GOO LIBERTY!! Fucking moron

  • @ukrainiaNManiak Stay out of the U.S. and stay in ukraine, you ungrateful and undeserving prick. You obviously don't appreciate the protection our military provides us. We wouldn't even HAVE any jobs or schools or anything if we were under attack on American soil!

But you know what, you sound so stuck-up in your little bubble that I hope somebody bursts that bubble one day with a bullet, maybe that will enlighten your point of view.

  • @m0onst9er i can find you and kill you just as easy

  • @ukrainiaNManiak LOL even if you could, over an argument on YouTube? What a kid. I'm not threatening you, I'm telling you to stop being naive. Pop that bubble, and you'll see why we need protection.

  • the difficult part is the mother and father looking at each other........so very sad.

  • NOW THIS IS A MAN WHO IS WORTHY OF THE MEDAL OF HONOR. TOTAL SACRIFICE.

    IMPRESSIVE.

They just gave an MOH to a Ssgt who "saved" his men.....I dont know.

    didn't impress me to much..

  • No greater love than that of a man who would lie down his life for his friends.

    Bravo Zulu Mike.

  • Yep. Where was Obama during this award ceremony? Most likely with Tom Ayers trash talking America.

  • this man is my inspiration and guides me through the hard days on deck in the USN......i need to think of him more than i should, but he gives me strength. thank you michael.

  • One of Saint Michael's Angels, isn't it surprising that he died on the feast of St. Michael (Sept. 29) God is most merciful. God Bless Michael Monsoor

  • "Attention, Present Arms!" I salute this brave young man for his sacrifice and valor. He gave his own life to save those of his SeAL teammates. Wish I could've met him. May God bless his soul, and the lives of the loved ones he left behind. Rest in peace warrior, brother, and son.

Sincerely and With Undying Respect and Admiration,

    Brigadier General "Storm"

    F-15C/F-22A Pilot-1st Fighter Wing-27th Fighter Squadron

Assistant to COMMACC-Commander of Air Combat Command

  • This is a video honoring a fallen Navy Seal Mike Monsoor, and some of the most pathetic and disrespectful lowlifes watch this video then comment about Bush being a bad president. There are plenty of videos showing President Bush that you pukes can go bash him on, but no, you pick this one. Peace loving liberals my ass. Your hatred is very clearly shown in your comments. Now STFU and watch this mother and father being presented the medal their son earned on the day he gave his life for us all.

  • Michael Monsoor!

    Where you are in heaven...

You are a hero ... I appreciate your sacrifice and those who have served and continue to server the United States of America! So we may continue to live in freedom and for your Navy Seal brothers that you saved that day.

    Semper Fi

  • if i was the injured guy who got protected by Mike Monsoor, i personally would've felt like such a bastard, i easily would've gave my life for his.

  • Mike Monsoor is a hero an example of noble sacrifice for his country, friends, family, and team.

  • Michael Monsoor was a great man, to react in a split second choosing his shipmates over himself is such a selfless act. It would be an honor for me to meet him in heaven some day. Like Bush said we all owe him a debt that we will never be able to repay.

    USN, SN

  • daan this guy was a president?...

  • A handfull of religious Saudis backed with Pakistani money hijack planes, kill Americans, and die in the process. A handfull of oil tycoons hijack the US government and invade two NON-RELATED countries to corner the oil market and lock in high prices. Honorable citizens like Mike Monsoor and their families suffer for it all. Their grief is turned into a photo-op. You voted for it all, but somehow it's the "liberals" fault.

  • Fair wind and following seas to the Monsoor's. John 15:13.

  • what a great guy almost made me cry he gave the highest sacrifice to protect his teammates... there are not much people in the world who would act like Mr. Monsoor ..... R.I.P

  • As a pilot in the Navy, I feel awful for a parent who allows a son or daughter to serve for this country, and gets a medal and a tomb in return. All I hope is that the parents understand we did it for them, our comrades and our country. If that is not worth dying for, then nothing is.

  • I used to think that President Bush was a bumbling idiot. I now realize that he wasnt what everyone made him out to be. God bless him and And Michael Monsoor

  • the woman at the end almost ruined this video, she had such an annoying voice.

  • Poor guy.

  • Bush rocks and so does Micheal!

  • code pink better not show up to these events

  • RIP

  • God bless Micheal Monsoor.

  • God bless Michael Monsoor. He will never be forgotten. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Monsoor, for raising such a great and selfless son.

  • Agree with Tuna. That high pitch voice is inappropriate for the situation.

  • I've served with SEAL's..They are without doubt, best of the best, bravest of the brave ..fair winds, following seas Michael

  • rest in peace Michael Monsoor.roger that

  • the thing that pisses me off is this video has 20,000 views but videos with babys laughing have millions

  • The bitch in the end just doesn't shut up, just give them the damm medal, they've been thrue enough already

  • i agree Oxstayne if you didnt do that you are the most selfish bastard in the world in my opion i think he shoud of got something bigger than the medal of honor

  • Mike jumped on the grenade cause he saw it first, anyone else wouldve if they saw it.

  • One of America's best.

  • Roger That

  • hero

  • oohh raa seal

  • Very touching...

  • "This Nation will always charish the memory of your son. We will not let his life go in veign."

  • You all may laugh and m ake make fun of thsi honoured comrade, but his name will stay... And yours will be forgotten...

  • well all this argueing is for this video we should just remember the man who gave all not the president

  • Arrogant Americans?

To sacrifice your own like to save your friends/soldiers it is such proof that Americans are UNIQUE!!!!!.

May God Bless him and his family.

Thank you for your service to our Country and your fellow soldiers. Thank you Parents for bringing up such a young man. Your loss is our loss. Irreplaceable. May God be with you and your family. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Agreed. This man is a true hero.

  • Man..it must have been a horrible feeling for the parents to be standing up there. I mean after all these years of raising him and loving him, all they get to remember by is a medal...

  • But they know that there son was a great man and did what he was supposed to do.

  • yeah well, I had a friend who was just killed by a drunk driver (like man thousands of americans) and you'll never know his name, and all his parents have to know him by is the drunk who killed him, sitting in a county jail.. This man is a hero, and will be remembered by thousands for thousands of years to come. Honor him.

  • Someday we will see the great things President Bush has done, remember America is a safer place because if him, god bless Mr Bush and the brave soldiers

  • I've been saying that for years. I couldn't agree with you more.

  • i hate that people see only the mistakes he has in fact made and not the positive things he has done for this country.

  • like......

  • it depends on what you believe to be positive. He made the airports safer and Banned partial birth abortions. Obviously people would argue the abortion thing but morality wise that is a good thing for me. That would be why i'm against Obama, because of his ideals. He also created the no child left behind, but it depends on whether you think these changes were positive. The fact is we have been better protected. No one can let him take the blame he EVERYTHING, sure he is at fault for somethings

  • Yea every country wants to blow the shit out of us so we need to be on max security

  • like 50 million liberated people in the middle east in iraq and afghanistan, like not a single terrorist attack since 9-11 even with dozens of many different attempts. He inherited a recession and kept the economy stable, even after the complete loss of the world trade center in the world financial capital of the world in New York. He increased the budget to our armed forces to protect us and increase military pay 4 times in 5 years

(as opposed to 2 times in the previous 8)

  • I am not disagreing that he did liberate all those people. But there have been loads of terrorist attacks since 9-11. I am not saying that George Bush is to blame, but wake up mate. The madrid bombings, 7-7, glasgow bombings and countless others around the world

  • Yes I totally understand, but my comment was meant to speak of the dozen or so terrorist attempted terror attacks on U.S. soil, such as the potential shoe and chemical bombings using shampoos and such on trans-atlantic airlines and the attempts to blow up LA sky scrapers and the LAX airport, etc.

Nothing takes away from the tragedy in London, Madrid, Bali, or the Glasgow airport, but here in the U.S., you have to feel like, after 9-11, we 'should' have been attacked again by now, and haven't.

  • I see. Yh you are right mate. There has been more than one foiled attempted terrorist attack on American soil, its the same aroud the world, the police in Britain had actually infiltrated a man inside the group who did the London bombings, although he couldnt stop 7-7 he did so with countless others. Bush had been in power 8 months before 9-11, he did a great job at dealing with an incredibly difficult situation

  • agree, easily to blame one man on all the worlds problems, but tsunamis in indonesia, hurricanes in the gulf and earthquakes in turkey arent GW's fault as many have attempted to place blame. He has done a lot of great things for this nation and world, unpopular by the methods, but the methods came with results, such as 50 million people in the mideast are free of tyranny and oppression, this country has yet to be attacked since 9-11 even with many different attempts. WE ARE a BETTER country

  • This video is less about Bush for me then the balls of a soldier that will instantly give his life for his buddies.

  • hell yeah man. politics goes right out the window in combat.

  • @himsl3465 Some day you'll take responsibility for helping a bunch of oil tycoons use our military to knock out two of their competitors and lock in high oil prices. ....Nahh, who am I kidding. If you knew how to study, you wouldn't have made this comment.

  • @himsl3465 godbless the brave soldiers indeed..I have the utmost respect for them.

However, history will remember Bush as the worst president in the history of this nation. A man who highhandedly trashed America's reputation worldwide and a man who has steered America to the verge of bankruptcy. He came into office with the a budget surplus in the trillions and left office leaving America trillions in debt and letting bin laden, the man who killed thousands of americans walk away.

  • @himsl3465 Are you SERIOUS?? If it wasnt for that bumbling IDIOT who sent the US into a war that we had NO BUSINESS getting ourselves into. This BRAVE and AMAZING soldier would more then likely be with his family.

RIP Mike Monsoor and Thank You.

  • @himsl3465 amen to that!

  • The value is beyond calculation.

  • you're still posting on this video? go protest or something, better yet, get a job between eating your tofu ya dirty hippie.

  • Why do people have to die before they're considered for the medal of honor?

  • They don't have to die. They just usually do as what they did to earn it the medal was of the highest valor and risk.

  • Because the medal of honor is awarded for service over and beyond the call of duty in the face of grave danger during combat.

  • Excuse me Jesse Ventura will always be a seal

  • Honor is sacred. May you rest peacefully with it always. Farewell.

  • I thought it was the Terrorist who is trying murder us. I would know. And if you think you have the guts to find out call 1.800.Marines (as if they would have you, but they might make an american of you yet) Keep your polotics out of the glory of this young mans life. USMC Staff Sgt. Barb

  • You know what you ignoratnt Fuck. The Army National Guard has recived the most Medal's of Honor. Presidnet Bush is apart of that. Keep your satire to yourself and don't degrade this hero's moment. USMC Staff Sgt. Barb

  • Dubya's motto is from Erasmus, the 16th Century Dutch humanist:

    "Dulce Bellum inexpertis."

(War is delightful, for the inexperienced.)

Ignorant? Not likely. Highly educated as well.

Spare me your macho rants. Our President is an AWOL/Deserting scumbag. Watching that coward chickenhawk draft dodging AWOL/Deserting scumbag handing out that medal makes me cringe.

  • I didn't know you Mike.......Respect man......Respect.

A professional to the end. A selfless human to the end.

We are the unknowing, doing the impossible, for the ungratefull.

  • If you can watch the video of Mike's fellow SEALS pressing their tridents into his coffin without choking up, you're either dead inside or a liberal.

  • Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints on snow,

I am the sun on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn rain.

  • When you awaken in the morning's hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there; I did not die.

  • RIP man. You are a hero. But they'll bother only a moment, then they'll givea shit about it... Soldiers fate...

  • That just shows how ignorant you are. Then take the burden on your sholders and remember and show the world through your actions. And a Soldier is Army Not Navy.

  • RIP man, you were a hero, you are a hero, and you'll be a hero.

  • The tribute given tonight during the RNC Convention was the first I had heard of this. I was moved to tears. Tears of pride in that flag that hangs outside of my house. My neighbors notice that I never let it wrap around the pole or go unlit. Know I know why. God Bless him, his family and this great country we get to call ours because of people like Mike.

  • o thank god...i was afraid to look at the comments, cause I was expecting a bunch of d-bags complaining about bush.

  • many americans hate bush. regardless of what your feelings are for the war and for bush, i think all can agree that least bush did somethin right for once.

  • "Greater love hath no man than to lay down his life for his brother."

    Semper Fi Brother

  • There is no greater love than one who lays down his life for his friends. May God be with him and his family.

  • A real American Hero. God Bless his family

  • Have Respect. Everyone.

  • last time i checked arizona was a state

  • Your just making shit up. The VP was recognized in the Prez's opening remarks as at the presentation. The VP doesn't participate in congressional hearings as a Senator anyway. Yoy just made up that McCain left the event early. You don't even know the difference between a city and a state. Go back to "Joe" "Momma" and leave the rest of us alone.

  • intended for JoeMomma2002

  • Amazing the sacrifice a person can make. A very bittersweet moment.

  • Yeah, where was obama and clinton?

  • Hmmm.. John McCane was there... where was clinton and oboma??

  • There was no need nor desire to make the event political. McCain was, is, always will be Navy, as was MA2. W's finest moment when he took Mrs. Monsoors hand.

  • sad but did the right thing

  • 'Died in vain'??

    As I've said elsewhere:

I cannot fathom the heroism of a man who unthinkingly throws his life away so that others will live. It is bravery in the extreme. Honor is such a cheap word in cases like this. As is heroism. Any man who, in an instant, decides that his life is worth the saving of others' lives, is above anything on this Earth that can be done. Even a nation's highest medal is cheap compensation in comparison.

  • well said

    and Bellybusterr show some respect

  • you are an ass. he died to save others

  • your a douche...

  • Fuck you. That's all I have to say.

  • that was directed to Bellybusterr, not to Mike.

  • God Bless Mr. Mike Monsoor and his brave family for all they've done.

    God Bless president bush

    God Bless America

Thank You to all of our military personnels.

  • God Bless him and God be with our President

  • When got here today, some bozo had given this ceremony a 1*. Whoever you are, I hope the next time you go home to see Mom, she comes out from under the porch and bites you on the arse!

Regardless of your politics, how can you not be moved by a Medal of Honor ceremony. Some people are brain dead. God Bless the Monsoor family. Mike will never be forgotten by any real American.
