  • Great stuff. At first I didnt recognize the area but then I saw the Marriott. Great job

  • That looks like nashville

  • god I love this city :) nice vid!

  • great stuff ireally like time lapses as u see what goes on around you but in a short space of time

  • Song is Dies Irae, a fragment of mozazrts requiem in D minor ;) (video's good by the way)

  • Thanks for sharing. Awesome image, great job, WORTH watching!! And thanks for the tips on how to do it!

  • great video. I really like the lights in the two tall buildings at night.

  • that's awesome, especially with the intense music, thanks for posting this. timelapses always tend to make me step back for a minute and realize how quickly time makes fools of us all, and that i should really get off my ass and get down to business during the short time i have on this planet...

  • Name of the song?

  • nicee

  • that was three days???? It seemed like 5 or something

  • nice job

  • thats how fast summer days go

  • ok you spend your three days while i spend 1 minute and 50 seconds to enjoy and or not enjoy this...find something not so time consuming, people find these things amazing but look at what u acomplished...2 minutes worth of work, out of 3 days worth of waiting and working-the video was ok its just that you should really look at what u did

  • Total amount of work: Approximately half and hour.

Buy a timer for my camera, set timer limit, buy big memory card, set timer and forget about it. Use iMovieHD on mac, spend ten minutes importing all pictures in, select music, click on export and walk away.

  • funny how the clouds move east while the sun moves west...cool.

  • This one is going straight into my favorites list.

  • the video ended at 1:52 but it says that it should be 1:57 seconds. Not that I'm complaining or anthing, I love time lapses.

  • yea that was weird.

  • Did a storm come in at the end?

  • It's the Dies Irae from Mozart's Requiem.

  • Can you say me the name of the song in the background pls??

  • Wasy to do, set the camera to take pictures at intervals of a given range, say, every 30 minutes. Then you put them together.

  • oh how i love san francisco!!

  • this is pretty! n i think d backgrd music really suits!!!

  • Especially since the music is the "Dies Irae" from the Requiem, and San Francisco is going to suffer on the Day of Wrath if they persist in their wickedness.

  • Ow this one is cool defenitely one of the best time lapse on youtube!!

  • so awesome. love time lapse of cities

  • Whatching the bit a night was boring. Apart from that, heaps cool!

  • wow...super awesome

  • Cool, part of it really works with the music. I think morning and nightfall are especially effective (of course), but also some of the cloud movements and flashes of sunlight are perfect.

Sometimes though, Mozart seems to shake the foundations of the world with his music, while the picture shows hectic activity but doesn't come along or contrast the music -

I think it would be no sin to edit the video even more to fit the drama and kinetic expressiveness of the music.

  • whats in the background at 1:08 to about 1:18?

it looks like a ribbon of smoke from an apartment

  • And it seems to be going in the opposite direction from the clouds.

An enormous Dune spice worm perhaps?

  • perhaps

  • Yeah I see it, it's probably fog or smoke coming from a tower.

  • HAHA. spod.

  • lol..what do u do? leave your camera on all day? or just stay awake for 3 days straight..great stuff if only i had a bigger memory card

  • The music is very appropriate for an urban time lapse such as this. I dig it!

  • Hey, how did the people in those buildings know to turn their lights on and off to the music? Amazing LOL

  • great. love time lapse. the clouds about 2/3 through are amazing!

  • very cool... my guess it the auto-focus was on and that's why it didn't always hold still.

  • YAY!!! SanFran and Mozart's Requiem! You rock!

  • Good vid!

  • Awesome! Perfect music!

  • Cool.

  • SWEET!

  • I love when you add music to you time lapses- PERFECT!

  • great! music suited the video and its so intresting to watch!! keep it up. 5stars
