remove sim

ok to no sim message

then turn airplane mode off

ok to that message then put sim in.

it worked for me.

i have a 2g iphone 2.2.1 fw and i just got it unlocked after about 8 hours of fucking with it mine has same prob ima take it to best buy and tell them to tell me how to fix it without fucking it up

Thing how I got this work. I downgraded my iPhone to the 1.1.4 firmware, then opened it with ZiPohne 2.5b (Do it all) and changed there IMEI code. Everything is fine now, but the thing is, when I update my iPhone to newer version (2.x) then IMEI code changes to default, and my iPhone doesn't work again. So, iPhone working but only with 1.1.4 firmware.

Any ideas how to change IMEI on 2.x?

you dont need to downgrade. 2.2 is the most stable firmware anyways.

restore the phone with custom firmware... open up CYDIA and install "yellows0w" (whilst your sim card is in the phone).. turn the phone off and on again... if it does find service.. try toggling airplane mode. it took me several attempts and then it worked.

I have tried to restore it, but then it comes to the "no SIM card installed' and only emergency calls.. and i have to hack the phone all over again. I tried first to download yellows0w without restore it and nothing happend.. what should i do now?

hi. not sure if you have this working yet. but i had the same problem today.. i installed "yellowsn0w" on my iphone (the app so you can use anysim). turned my phone off and on again. turned airplane mode on and off again.... and now it works. let me know if this helped.

I have already tried that. But as I do it, it just "Searching..." my phone network. Nothing more.

I got the network now, everything looks fine. But the thing is I can't call. It writes me "Call ended" or "Call failed".

So it took me network only.

Well, if I call on this phone. It tells me: "The phone is listed as forbidden". So will ZIphone with its IMEI change will help me?

i doubt it. have you tried with a different sim card? make sure its actually the phone that has a problem. when you change the sim you may have to turn airplane mode on and off a few times before it picks up the new sim.

dude all u gotta do is put that simcard in another cell phone n it will say searching for network then it will find it then just put it back in your iphone then BAM BITCH! haha hoped i helped
