WOW I never knew Birmingham could look so good! From those pictures it looks very impressive and I've driven those streets loads of times. Bring back the Superprix I say!!!
Awesome footage, thanks for sharing. I remember marshalling for a 6R4 race at Donington, I think it was ahalf race half rally series run for these pocket rockets. There were only 6-7 cars at the race I saw though! Easy race for marshals, when one spun into the McLeans gravel, it started up and just drove out again!
We need Brum Superprix back again. Would be awesome. I was born in Coventry. Makes me spit seeing whats happened to our motor industry. Calamity of errors by all involved!! Aargh.
I was 11th in this race. 10 laps very hot and tiring. Austin Rover paid for it all. Most enjoyable. The car got so hot it creaked at the end, and the tyres picked up matchsticks in the sticky rubber. The only reason Tony Pond won so easily was the owner of the car spent absolutely heaps on the engine. Mine was standard with about 290 bhp. With standard suspension, I lifted the inside rear wheel 2" off the tarmac every time I came into the dual carriageway hairpin. Still got the photos.
it was a great track, thanks for sharing

@52ajaxx The "ONLY" reason Tony Pond won was because he had a better engine that is an insult to a driving GOD you should be ashamed .....

thats sweet. do they still have street events in england?

Sadly,I don't think anything on this scale has taken place since the 2 Birmingham Superprix events of the late 1980s.
The sight and sound of so many 6R4s really is a vision of heaven on earth!
