LOL depends sometimes asus is good and sometimes its bad. People say asus suck because asus designs are generally lacking in look. But in terms of components its about the same. Depends on the parts you put in the computer. Dell computers are fine too its about the parts. People dont like dell because its a brand name that just sucks.

the thing is u cant compare to asus Eee and HP 2130 because one is running xp and one is vista. Vista always takes a longer time to load because of the graphical interface. Even with a high end desktop, vista still needs almost a minute to boot. And also there is a difference in processor. Asus use generally intel and Hp generally use AMD. Both of them are different. How can you compare and Apple and an Orange? You just can't.

That boot test was unfair, Vista will slow down anything. Also note that the Eee has something like 4gb storage while this HP has 120 - 160gb frankly I can live with the longer loadup time. Given there's only about £100 between them, I'd rather fork out the extra cash. For those who don't like Vista, there's the linux option as well. I wish people would list the battery life however, and the difference between the three cell and six cell options, with something media intensive such as a vid play
