  • @twoblackthorned This fake ass repair will only kill your console. This is a case where paying a little more for a proper reflow/reball using a BGA welder is the smart thing to do.

  • Just did this tonight, but with screws and the AS5 cleaning kit. Worked fine first try. Did not use the Fan on the heat sinks, just put the heatsinks back on with as5 put it back together some what and worked fine so put the rest back. But for how long? He has been playing over 5 hours tonight on WM3. That shut the nephew up, Price Less.

  • Hey great tutorial but how tight should the bolts be? Like snug or twisted in my hand? Thanks

  • This repair is extremely bad for your Xbox and should never be preformed!!! Learn the truth on the HGCGamersClube this man has no electronic background and is a moron I have an Extensive background in component level electronics and I show you proof! And explain why this will kill your Xbox! I also am giving away $250,000.00 and free Xboxes just to teach you the truth! ((DO NOT DO THIS!))

  • Dude, are you fucking retarded?, bolts will make it work for like 3 months and then fuck up the problem even more, you're an idiot, fuck you

  • @TheBL00DAssassin

How so? And what would be the real fix? Don't want to waste my time doing this if there is a more legit remedy

    .

  • @mechsuit80 without the xclamps the motherboard can bend

  • @mechsuit80 the real fix would be to reball the cpu chip or replacing the thermal paste, i looked up on the net and i saw this: 0020 (Not yet known, possibly overheating). So it could be just replacing the thermal paste

  • @TheBL00DAssassin that's what I did here (replace the thermal paste). It is still working great. So much so that I sold it to a friend and now he's even enjoying Kinect games on it.

  • 0020 happened to me straight after I did the ram fix on it now I tried this 0020 still is there after I have tightened the screws not to full any help any one

  • @popkon51 you need to remove the existing thermal paste and apply new.

  • Worked for me, I used other video guide (but it was the same in fact). But it only worked for about 10 minutes then game freeze and after restart 3 rrod flashing again ... I did this about 4 times, but everytime it was same except 1 try when after overheating and cooling 1 rrod apears. I leaves everything for about 10 minutes and yes xbox working perfect for about 10 day. Then 3rror apears again :/

Oh and I didnt use screws (and other stuff) cause i cant find then anywhere in our country :(

  • which bolts i tighten ???

  • so i did all this now when i turn it on it shows 3 red rings then after a few seconds goes to 2 red lights with the error code of 0011 now what

  • @adeadlyn3rotoxin11 it looks like you may have to redo the steps. check out the info i found googling your error code xbox-experts (dot) com/errorcode/E05/0011/

  • Great tutorial. I've installed and reinstalled processors before, so I'm gonna give this fix a shot. Didn't know it might be that simple, I was considering sending it in for a 'reball' or a 'reflow'. Thanks for the vid!

  • i got 0200 error, bought bolts, steel washers and nylon ones too, removed x-clamps, bolted em through the case, and heated up the gpu while keeping the fan on the cpu, and still 0200 error, i cannot get rid of it,

  • Thank you for this video!!! First time digging into something like this, and just followed this video! Thanks!

  • Hey I was just wondering if your Xbox is still working?

I tried to fix mine in a similar way by overheating it but I could only get it to work for a couple of hours or so, after that it would just give the same error again...

Haven't tried the xclamp replacement yet though so if yours is still working that might be worth the try.

    Please let me know!

  • do you know how to fix it if it has the secondary error 0022?

  • Dude i love the song haha :p no lie though

  • I TRYED THE SAME EXACT THING AND IT STILL DIDNT WORK

  • where did you buy them bolts, flat washer and nylon washers from?????

  • @Teeorie1 I bought them from Lowes. You can probably get them from Home Depot as well or any other hardware store.

  • @MadDogx22x can i get them at walmart?

  • mine cant run longer than 3 mins without fan

but mine gets hot and i smell fucking burned up xbox 360

when i let i t cool down and run again it wont start either

    i think i am 1 of the 12309102930932 xbox 360

  • I finished my jtag on my xenon board and it gave me the 3rrod secondary was 0020 I think I did the xclamp mod wrong I have the bolt the the caseing then 2 metal washers then the plastic washer then the heat sink. Will it still work?

  • i did same thing perfectly, and when i tern it on it shows 1 red light....please help me

  • @michaeldavidsabatini I have never had this problem before but if you quickly google xbox 360 1 red light, you should see the first link to xbox.com and that may help.

  • so in essence you took out x clamps and replaced then wt ordinary bolts?

  • @kirdook yes...and sorry for the delayed response

  • I had 2 pieces of defective xbox 0020! But .. I did everything one could start .. 2 weeks, 3 LED was again!: (

So MS is at maturity! Unfortunately, this error code is very bad because, I can drive replacement solved the problem

    But I can try!

  • the code 0020 stands for unknown error. it sucks cause anything can cause it and you can fix it from unplugging the fans and letting it over heat for a while, to having to reflow it all. i had mine reflowed, then 0020 came back and just today, i fixed it by unplugging the fans and leaving it on till suddenly it changed to two lights, not 3. which means over heating, i just plugged the fans back and turned it on and happiness :) go from simple solutions to the more risky ones

  • how many time it worked after the fix?

  • @brazilgamer I still play it today so it's working just fine way after the fix

  • ok this might be weird but my fan turns on then off after about a half a second and the 3 lights show up, i have YET to find a fix for this D:

  • @PlayerWins I never heard of that happening. I'm sorry but I can't help you with that one.

  • @PlayerWins Your bolts are at different tightness,

  • @PlayerWins Not sure if you have found a fix yet but the same thing happened to me. Double check that the GPU and CPU are touching the thermal paste. Tighten the bolts if needed. Hope that helps

  • @PlayerWins bro i got the same exact problem...and when i turn my xbox on nothing shows up on the screen...the xbox just fails as soon as it turns on

  • @magersrule me too so idk what to do

  • 1. I like the video

    2. i hate the song

  • still didnt work

  • I'm sorry it didnt work for you. Maybe you missed something. Most likely you need to tighten or loosing the bolts and then over heat the chips again. Double check you have 3 red lights not something else.

  • I'll try this later on tonight and let you know how I got on =]
