so cute my hammys babys are 9 days now I saw them in the nest they are a cream colour like their Mum and dad, but there is only 2 babies. maybe some was eaten. But I didnt know how many was in there to begin with coz I didnt want to disturb them.

You shouldn't touch baby hamsters until  they are like a month old cuz the mom will get scared if you touch her babies then will eat them in order to protect them

its best not to pick them up that early just because there is always a small chance the mom could eat the babies even if she is familiar with your scent...

@19allden19 thats when you touch them whitin the month when you touch them their smell changes and the mom might eat them happens all the time

actually they can be handled safely af 2 weeks old, before that you need to be very careful. You should really only handle them that early if the mother is very laid back and used to your scent.
