How old is your kids, I mean little students. My two girls ar e4 and 6 and they both love to paint. Will it be suitable for 6yo to do this project, with my help of course. I tried to find any books about how to teach kids to paint but there are all for kids 8 and up.

this is very helpfull cespecially since my art class just started with oil pastels and blending colors, do you have any suggestions on how to draw fruit on top of contrasting color paper, like a yellow pear on top of a purple paper, or red apple on a green paper???

Thats a great topic to learn for the kids...I want to become an art teacher. What advice can you tell me about teaching kids?

Everyone wants to be an art teacher! My class of 23 students is maybe half who want to be teachers, the rest are going into web design or something similar. Keep in mind, there is maybe one teaching job for every 50 art degrees given - more or less depending on where you live. Have a backup plan, because it may get worse with all the budget cuts - art is often one of the first things to go or be cut back on in many schools.
