As a member of OSU's marching band, people are always surprised to hear me say that Michigan is one of the better bands we play against. The director of OSUMB actually got his doctorate degree at Michigan. In terms of marching precision, OSU is better, hands down. We watch game-day video the following Monday at rehearsal and you can visually see more people out of line and such in their program. Playing-wise, its more a matter of preference...they have woodwinds, we don't.

Beavercreek HIgh School Marching Band plays that better. Which is the band I will get to play in about 2 years. I also found out our Led Zepplin show was arranged by the band director at Arizona University( I am not sure I am right on the college name.) he also did our more recent Tears For Fears show.

There were NO notes missed, I assure you of that! This was the 3rd time this show was played, and you'd better believe we could play this in our sleep...

theguy1100 you don't know what you are talking about. The Michigan Marching Band is honored around the world in many institutions and many other places. Not to bash Ohio State but Michigan h as sold way more albums cd's and recordings of their music.
