first time I've seen this one, I've met Chris several times and he's an awesome person, very sexy in person, very friendly, has the softest face and the bluest eyes. He's simply beautiful. great sense of humor, too. I like Rowland Salley, too. He's a nice, fun, lovable guy.  great painter, too. Kenny is a riot, a big cuddly teddy bear.

I am guessing this is from 15 yrs ago about 1993 when he was lean and about 37 yrs old. I loved his Diddly Daddy (in my favorites) Love him on harmonica....& when he talked about C H I C K S. Nice expression. Never did like ND but do like this cover. He has a unique voice when he sings, sexy eyes, VERY sexy mouth, good sense of humour. Just saw him this summer and he puts on a good show, no breaks and simply 1.5 hrs long. Unfortunatley did not play Blue Hotel or Diddly Daddy but did a variety.

I've heard HIM and I've heard Johnny Cash's versions; So far Chris Isaak's the best and the video takes it up another notch. Cash's is good HIM is just OK (didn't bring much to the table): Isaak's version rocks Hands Down (literally!).

Mess it up? It sounds more soulful than the original! Why would an artist want to do it the same as someone else? Chris is a lot better looking than Diamond so therefore he does the song much more justice. Relax it's called putting your own style on something! Ever add a little more tabasco sauce to something because it needs a little zip? Same thing!
