  • sweet!

  • Nice work.

  • When the " + servos" came up you know shits going down

  • Hahaha, really cool shit!

  • finally recorded mine using iPhone... check it out... youtube.com/watch?v=ktItqNLjGAA

  • Pretty good work ;) It's awesome!

PD: I've been working with Arduino and servos too :) See my projects in my channel ;)

  • you should put a damping factor on the accel readings so your robot doesnt look like it has parkinson's and so you dont have to move the nunchuck so ridiculously slow...

  • @ppiibb haha, thanks for the tip.

This was actually just a small test I put together just to see if it would work. I made it and destroyed it the same day :)

But for future stuff I would def. apply some automatic control :)

I hope your weekend is great.

  • @thiage it was very nicely done though.. actually yours inspired me to build one myself haha only i used the accelerometers on the iphone.. mine sure has parkinson's though, cuz i dont have servos so i used stepper motors haha.. i may upload it in a couple of days when i get my camera back.. have a great weekend too!

  • SOOOOOOO CUTE *-*

  • i have an awesome idea!!! someone do this and rig the arduino up to a the arrow keys on a keyboard, use the nunchuck to control google earth. the more you tilt the wii nunchuck, the faster the pulse to the arrow keys will be making it move faster.

  • Nice project! Have you tried using the wiimote with bluetooth? I don't know if there is any good libraries for this bluetooth device.

  • @basbrun thanks :) Quick and easy, it was most just to try it out. I haven't tried arduino + wiimote with bluetooth, but it would be interesting. Don't have bluetooth for arduino. I guess I could go via the computer; wiimote->computer->python/something->arduino->servos ^^

  • @thiage you could just get a cordless Nunchuck that has the adapter that plugs into the Wiimote, that way you could be free of the wire but still use your cardboard+tin foil method with the adapter.

  • when it starts up it's just like "ahhhhhhhhhhhh I had a terrible nightmare, I had been taken out of the wii and had become a robot with a cardboard face controlled by a nunchuck... phew, glad that's over"

  • Awesome!

  • how much for everything out the door? Looks like that cost you over a grand. Now what are you going to do with it? Take it to your boss and ask for a pay raise?

  • @silverpizza100 prolly costs less than 100 including the nunchuk

  • @silverpizza100 yeah I already had the stuff laying around so. I didn't buy them to do this sprcific thing, just did it because it was possible with the stuff I had :) I disassembled it right after the video was recorded :)

I think trying stuff and playing around with things just helps to keep your mind fresh and creative. I have no other reason for doing this than to play and learn new stuff. I have no boss, I'm a student ;)

  • Wow!!! I would like to use my own wii for this!! but I´m afraid of burning it!! the thing is that if I make it I would make it in old school way : buying an ATMEGA and just doing it!! no alreadymade platform like arduino...so that´s the thing...the link u posted is something about I2c scanner, is the nunchuck based on a I2C control??

  • what do you have to connect the nunchuck to the arduino?

  • do you have a copy of the 2 servo code or a link to it have found some but get compile error's thanks

  • Nice. Looks a bit jumpy some times. Maybe you could use an array or something to average out the motion so its smoother.

  • This is a great build. Well done.

It looks like the controls have some jitter. Try using a cyclic buffer to hold several consecutive input samples, and then take the majority reading.

  • very cool!

  • Wonderful job! I'm looking to do a similar thing. Could I take a look at your arduino sketch for this?

  • how did you connect the aluminum foil to the breadboard? i dont think it could be soldered to wires, could it? or did you just roll them up and stick them in the BB? Thats pretty sweet though ill have to try it out.

  • @couchpotato8796 Hello :) I'm pretty sure I just taped cables to the foil (or made them stay together by a temporary and ugly solution like that). So: Foil+cables -> arduino.

    ;)

  • @thiage ah, ok thanks! ill try it out, ill use that while i wait for my nunchuck extension cable that im gonna use for it

  • THIS IS SO COOL

  • now what are you going to do with that?

  • wow!! great job!

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • thx for sharing !

  • hack the servo for 360° view

  • Thanks for sharing :)

  • WAY COOL - If you replace the eyes with cameras, and the joystick with a heads-up display, you can see around as you move your head.

  • Great ! Thanks for sharing..

  • oh man i can't wait for my ARDUINO!!!!!

    lol 0:42 SPAZZ!!

  • @JustDepends

do you already have your arduino?

  • I didn't end up getting one.....

  • add a camera and you get a spy cam

  • Excellent! Can you give more detail on how you made the adapter?

  • its on the link in the descrip i think

  • Nice one using the gyroscope. Never thought of that one.

  • No gyros. Just accelerometer.

  • i'm buying a nunchuck just coz of the 3 axel thingy :D

  • REALLY AMAZING!

  • Coolt!

  • that's really cool

i want to do something like this :D

  • hahahahahahahhaahhahaha it like wouldnt listen LOL ZOMG!!!

  • ja ja ja ja cool

  • Is the arduino sketch/source code available?

  • were can I get an arduino

  • Använd den som en missle turrett :D

  • ^^ Skaffar du lite missiler? ;)

  • Hahha.

Nej men hur har du lärt dig allt detta?

  • @crippaaa intressant koncept men jag tror att missiler är lite för tunga...... vad sägs som racketer :D

  • Homemade ofcourse... Not Home made, lol oops
