  • What happens If I upgraded my 2GB ram notebook into 4GB will my notebook (laptop) run faster on 3d games and supports high graphic options? (like minecraft)

  • I just ordered the same memory but desktop memory from amazon for $27 new.

  • How can you have that Many PC's?

Either your super rich and spend you money, or ur working with a Local PC Store

  • To make it simple.

By increasing your Ram you are increasing the amount your computer can do at the same time and not increasing its actual speed.

However there are many factors involved with Ram which effect the Ram's performance.

  • this notebook EEEPC-1005PEB-RED can play movie full HD? 1080i? thx.

  • @xkos2007 no, i own this exact model w\1gb ram and the best I can play without buffer skip is 480p.

I use linux which is way lighter and runs better than stupid wind0hs

  • Yeah, I upgraded my ram from 1 to 2, and apart from a slightly smoother experience, all I got was an hour less of battery life. <_< The CPU is the real bottleneck in these netbooks.

  • They are almost exactly the same!

  • @MrEdisonChar RAM isn't designed to increase speed. Instead it's designed to keep memory. Example is like muti-tasking. When you do more things at once it becomes harder and you work slower. the more things you do and have to remember the slower you get. RAM keeps all that memory, so if you overload your RAM you often freeze or crash. Speed comes form processors & for high graphics stuff, the graphics card.

  • i wish it was plug and play for my asus 1015pem, i purchased the 2gb memory

installed it but windows 7 starter only recognizes 1gb , darn do have have to purchase the full operating system to make my crucial memory ddr3 to work?

  • @MrLukehorvath netbooks have ddr2

  • @MrLukehorvath

Does windows 7 starter not recognize 2/4 GB ddr3 still? I want to upgrade my asus 1015pem with windows 7 starter to 4 GB ddr3 ram. Is that still possible?

  • I'm looking to purchase one of these and very interested in adding 2GB. If I'm understanding correctly you installed 2 2GB sticks in yours? Is it really as easy as it appears to installed the sticks?

  • @mcarter251 yes, just plug and play

  • how can you affort to buy 2 same computers

  • Whats the difference?

  • @WhoAr3You the one on the right is faster on start up and loading pages.

  • @mikehacksdotcom oh.Hey I have an Acer Aspire One D250 that came with a stock 1gb ram on it so I decided to upgrade it to a 2gb thinking that it would be 2x faster but its the same. With the 1gb ram, firefox would use a constant 40-50cpu usage and now with the 2gb it still uses about the same cpu usage and I thought it was gonna use less like around a constant 20cpu usage.Just a waste of money for the little increase in performace....

  • @WhoAr3You RAM is a separate component than the CPU,if you wanted the CPU to perform better you'd have to take out the CPU and put a different one in. Increasing the rams makes loading applications and switching tasks faster

  • @mikehacksdotcom so will it also increase the performance for playing games?Cus when I play online multiplayer games the computer seems to lag while Im playing...

  • @WhoAr3You yes it should increase game performance.

  • @mikehacksdotcom Well I already upgraded and it seems to lag much less but still lags.Im on a netbook btw

  • da it just the 1GB of ram is best the change of it and 2GB is just 1 or 2 seconds what ever but 2Gb will be cool on some games that need high ram..... but thnx for vedeo
