It doesn't matter whether they are a part of the conventions or not. Because we ARE and we should stand by our policies, and honor our pacts. You know what honor is right? You get more pissed off and hungry for blood when you see a friend die in combat. They also have the same feelings about what they saw at abu ghraib. This is really quite simple. You can try and justify these actions all you want, but the simple facts of the situation are clear as day.
