  • A friend of mine was buying Florida water the other day, knowing her , I knew it wasn't for magickal or blessing use. I just had to ask her what she did with it. She told me that her son's baseball team uses it to refresh and avoid overheating during a game They put water and ice into a small ice chest with a few cap fulls of Florida water, then soak wash cloths in it. They wipe their pulse points down with it to cool off.

  • @CAJUNTWINSMOM What a great way of use it I love that!!!!

  • If anyone is looking for florida water, just a tip, check your local hispanic food marts. I found some today for half the price they sell it online : )

  • INTERESTING... the first place i put my Florida water is on my ''neck''.. and I am empth.. lol..

  • Hi there form the Alexandrian Coven of the Sigillum Dei Aemeth a 100+ year coven in melbourne australia keep up the good work

  • @MrJasonBkn Thank you for your comment!!!! I am honred!!

  • i believe you should of "set" that mixture on fire .

  • Hi Krazyboy I tried this and love it, It make the area smell so good. Its like you have flowers on your alter. However Krazyboy I noticed that after i mix this mixture it turn like wet hard. (look wet but solid) so what i did is just add more florida water everday until it got so low i just washed the rest down the sink. Is this ok

  • @Keonna902 I do the same I add a little more Florida water as well tell all the solid is gone then make a new batch!!!!!

  • @Krazyboytx Thank U, Many Blessings

  • Thank for posting! You can find camphor blocks at many east indian and caribbean grocery stores (its also great to inhale when your nose is stuffy)

  • Umm you said not to try this at home? u mean spillin the water in your front yard, or mixin the water with the camphor blocks? i went to my local botanica to buy florida water, and the camphor blocks, but unfortuntely they dont sell it anymore because they used to get it from NY, and they stop selling it there because people werent watching kids and they were eating it. so now i have to check my local drug store to see if they have it.

  • @ricanboy83 I say that do be careful and that you don't blame me for burning your house down lol I said don't light it on fire lol

  • just wanted to know. lol

  • what kind of witch are you?

  • @WhiteRitual I do Amarican folk magic and hoodoo why do you ask?

  • is "florida water" literally water from Florida?...just wondering cuz i live there...

  • @deathman113 Nope

  • @deathman113

It's a play on the "fountain of youth" legend, but it's just a cologne. In the legend, the fountain of youth is located in Florida, hence "Florida Water".

  • @BoyintheMachine I didn't know that thanks for the info. Here we just call it flower water or flora agua.

  • @deathman113 It is a combination of flowers and scented herbs. The name originated from Rene le "Florentin" (floral or blooming). At one time it was called blossoming water. If you use it do not use the weaker versions of MURRAY & LANMAN'S FLORIDA WATER or the Kanaga. Instead use the GOYA product with this one camphor is not needed unless you are doing a protection spell.

  • @4chango I heard it was named for the fountain of youth in Florida. That's why, I was told, there is a picture of a fountain on the bottle.

  • is sprinkling a suffecient use of florida water?

  • @safehouse123 Yes!!!!!

  • I use florida water as part of my mopping soloution when I want to clean my floors and walls

  • I love using this method, particularly of house cleansing. I used it in conjunction with something oriented toward stability of home with fantastic results. I've noticed difficulties when you live in moist locales, though. :-/

  • Because Florida Water is an alcohol base, does it evaporate fairly quickly when you use it to cleanse your hands and behind your neck?

  • Yes, but it leaves the oils that are mixed in and it smells great!!!

  • Awesome! I'm considering making this or something similar to annoint the back of my neck. I totally understand what you said about the neck tension: i had a neck injury when I was young, so that only makes it worse!

I love your videos. :) Keep up the great work!

  • I love florida water. I use it for cleansing and as a cologne.

  • Awesome- I am going to get some and do that tonight - what an awesome video!

Do you have to do it in the front yard? or can you do it in the bac yard?

  • Any where just be carefull!!!!

  • what is florida water? is it water or an oil or what?

  • It is a cologne that is used for limpias or cleansings, flower water and alcohol is what it is mostly made of.

  • cool, i was just wondering cause ive seen it at the occult shop i go to. BB )O(

  • What are limpias?

  • It means cleansing in spanish!!

  • @69WiccanLove69: It is a perfume that is made as a spiritual bath. In other it is made with floral scented herbs.

  • Thanks - I had used one of my chalices instead of a bowl so I needed to clean it out again for later use, and brute force + normal cleaning solution seemed to work nicely.

  • Do you ever get a hard residue of camphor left over in the bowl? If so, how do you clean it out?

  • Yeah that happened i just add more camphor and more florida water but if you want to clean the bowl and start again dish washing liquid should work!!!!

  • @smirglehoffeth: Just buy the pre-made camphor oil.

  • I tried this and couldn't get it to stay lit....do you have to use alot of the water? It's also kind of chilly outside....does that matter?

  • I would do a couple of circles of it get it wet!!!

  • woohoo....it worked....I had alot of spirals, it looked so cool burning :>D

  • Great video, especially the outdoor cleansing. I've never saw anyone do that before. I have a small problem with leaving camphor on the altar because it acts as a banishment agent. It's great for cleansing work though but I wouldn't leave it on my altar.

  • Thank you Yeah its an hoodoo spellcraft it keeps my altar away for any negative energy!!!! But understand were your coming from!!

  • I should probably clarify my point- when we do spells, even candle spells- spirits come to attend our altars. The roots, oils are connected to spirits. Having camphor would chase them off. I believe in animism and especially with plants having spirits as the old obeah men would talk to plants to learn of their attributes. Using camphor is great once in awhile to clean out negative stuff though. ;)

  • Great point!!! Thats why florida water is use to soften the power of the camphor!!! I would never use pure camphor on my altar!!!

  • I'm enjoying this interaction because it's always a learning experience- as is watching your vids! Do you feel this is a time saver as opposed to wiping down your altar and burning banishment incense prior (and after) doing spellwork? This is my method; just curious.

  • Yeah I do so many spells i really never have the time but i do clean off my altar once a mouth!

  • @killersorcery I know this is a late response, sorry! Anyways, personally, I believe that the ancestors and spirit guides will come to you with or without camphor. However, with camphor, it keeps the negative entities out when you do open the portal. That's just a personal experience of mine :-)

  • oh thank you, thank you! Im an empath and now I can cleanse that mal ojo!

  • Amazing video! My first bottle of Florida water arrived this week and I have been waiting for a reason to use it! Thanks so much! I actually swung by your channel to get the recipe for offering stones that everyone is talking about. I am off to make those now! Take care and thanks again!

  • Kool if you can make a VR!!! If not thats ok Thanks for watchjing!!!

  • oh wow :)... i'm new to.. this... and i'm learning a lot from your videos as well as a few other people.

    thanks for sharing.

    ro

  • Thank you for watching!!! yeah we come from alot of different traditions!!

  • Simply an amazing fire with spirals. Many blessings.

  • TY for this video. Do you know why its called Florida Water?

  • I don't really know but if you get ahold of any you will find that it smells like oranges!!!

  • this may be a dumb question but what is camphor made out of and what are its own unique properties. I usually don't like using anything in spell work unless I know all of its known properties before hand and how it is found in nature.

  • cinnamomum camphora (white camphor) if you have questions let me know, questions are always good that how i know my craft!!!!

  • I Love your videos!

  • I put Florida Water in a small dish to cleanse a room of spirits that I want to get rid of....

  • wow, and here i thought it was just water in that bottle! lol! it seems to be a bit like my lavender cauldron spirits, which is just lavender and herbs steeping in a bit of rubbing alchohol that i burn. i like your meathod.
