LONDON (Reuters) - Toxicology tests showed there were no illegal substances in British singer Amy Winehouse's system when she died last month aged 27, her spokesman said on Tuesday.

In a statement, he added that alcohol was present, but that it could not be determined what part, if any, it played in her death.

"Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy's system at the time of her death," the statement read.

I've always liked her music and was upset to find out she had been denied entry into the United States indefinitely b/c of her drug issues. I still can't believe she's gone and it bothers me immensely (to which I don't understand). RIP Amy. Although a troubled soul, maybe now you can rest sweetly.

When I was 14 and 'Rehab' singled, I made fun of her. I thought it was stupid. I was young and stupid and didn't know half as much about music as I thought I did. I didn't realize how important she was and i didn't appreciate her.

Now, 5 years later, I wish I would've known as much back then, as I do now.

What a VOICE!! This song shows the unbelievable talent Amy Winehouse possessed. Absolutely amazing! Her possibilities could have been endless. So so sad. Praying for her family. I hope this tragedy opens the eyes of other addicts suffering. Its not worth it in the end. And as we saw w/Amy....it can all happen in the blink of an eye! Rest In Peace now Amy, no more suffering. It's so sad.. such a tragedy. People need to realise that there is so much more to a person than whats on the outside. The pain on the inside of us is what drives us to give into our worst and most feared demons. People should of took notice to what she was feeling when she was here, and she wouldn't be gone. She needed our love, not our criticism. And now the world has lost another amazing musician, woman, family member and friend. And for what? She didn't have to die.

She was so talented and it was sad seeing her deteriorate over the years. I love listening to her sing there is so much emotion in the way she sings and her voice is lovely. RIP Amy, I wish someone had helped you or you could have helped yourself.
