i am in search of 'taluni gele pudhe je..' by suresh wadkar .. can u upload it please..

  • Sundar thanks for all yr work SJ

  • Beautiful song. Complicated melody typical of Yacch Mangeshkar (Batatyachi Chawl reference). Who is the singer? He has a slight non-Marathi accent.

  • WOW! It's strange that for someone SO unassuming who always reached out to anyone & everyone his compassionate heart "sensed" could use his caring outreach with a smile, my dear-departed dad, should be the FIRST one to come to my mind as an amazing sweet humanitarian, as an inspiration, earlier, when away to study in Delhi, or later in USA where I finally settled, WHENEVER I come across news, talks, books, or MUSIC THIS Sweet with a philosophy THIS Gentle as in this POIGNANT poetic GEM!

  • EXCELLENT SONG.... A GREAT MASTERPIECE... Thanks a lot for the upload. 1970s-to 1990s was such a beautiful time in my life. Life was so simple, everybody had ample time to walk, to mix with others & not just talk like idiots on cellphones or work like donkeys or sit in front of idiot box...BTW, who has sung this song? Is it Suresh Wadekar or Hridaynath Mangeshkar himeself? Kindly reply....

  • Great song! Peaceful to listen! SJ, can you post 'Soham Har Damaru Baje', it is from classical Natya Sangeet, I dont t know the name, sung by Madhuvanti Dandekar!!!

  • thank you sir , for an extremely beautiful and touching upload ! your superb translation has made it all the more better ,to enjoy ,listening and watching this bhavgeet by the genius hridayanath ji . . after reading all the comments ,i am just lost for words as it seems there is nothing to add in praise of such a divine composition . i would only plz request you to upload more such philosophical gems ,especially sung by hridayanath ji or lata ji . thanks once again .

  • Sudhir this is just great.Good song, very nice translation ,good pictures.I did not know many hidden meanings .Your translation is just excellent.

(p.s. Have u got the marathi natyasangeet song which I had sent to you ?)

    Harish

  • @amrutvani2 I don't think I recieved it Harish. which Natyasangeet are you talking about?

  • @SJisBack Jay gange bhagirathi by Mr. Pilgaonkar

  • @amrutvani2 Harish, I looked for it in my inbox, could not find it. do you want to resend it? I always liked Prasad Savkar's original one.

  • If I identify with any concept of divinity it's precisely this kind, where God is not the Creator but is Creation itself; Divinity doesn't transcend us in a disconnection from us but is immanent in all that we are and in all that we experience around us.

  • @chamogaa True. Thanks for your insight. This song asks all these questions without ever mentioning God or any specific religion. So it transcends all religions.

  • @chamogaa The divine and sublime beauty of this song borrowed from great voice, lyrics, music and above all the terrific images takes us to a world of ecstasy and a domain of metaphysical perceptions. We feel surrounded by several question? what is life? what is God? what are humans? The answers to them are not easy and one ends up in bewilderment. But I tend to feel very close to your curious observations and explanations, Vipan Bhai. Thanks a lot. (cont.)

  • @sqhzaidi And thanks to SJ we all kindred spirits are once again brought together --including the new entrant BharatGul !

  • @sqhzaidi I must thank @ritupm who has so nicely and wholeheartedly shared this piece of eternal joy. It is nice to meet @amrutvani ji and our new friend @BharatGul ji on this beautiful page, as well. I am grateful to SJisBack for uploading this song with brilliant translation and images.

  • Gosh! As if the Beauty in the Philosophic Depth of the LYRICS with the Humanistic Thoughts Within; the Mesmerizing Melody & the SOULFUL rendition, weren't enough to REVIVE me on my last breath! metaphorically speaking, :)...

I can't get over the BEAUTY in your choice of selections in EACH Flower you Chose, & Aptly placed with a discerning eye & a caring thought! Adds Volumes!

I don't know if am Delighted, Humbled or Touched more!

My Sweet Pa would've LOVED this!

    Indebted. SJ!

  • @ritupm Thank you for all your comments on this video clips. This song was released more than 30 years ago. The funny part is I never paid attention to lyrics of the song till you asked for the translation. So I need to thank you for it. I always liked the melody of the song. But now I realized the meaning is full of beauty and philosophical depth as you so aptly put it. I am glad you liked the song.

  • @SJisBack So, we both were in the same boat, after all? :)

We both were drawn to the mesmerizing melody because of the beauty of it, & am sure like me, your musical instincts too must've sensed "something Soulful" about it that kept you coming back to it like me even before knowing the profound depth of the philosophy within the lyrics! Wow! Awesome.:)

Am just thankful, & credit my Sweet Pa for "imbibing" such deep passion for such Music in me, that draws me into it so powerfully! :)

  • @SJisBack Dear SJ

i have heard this song so many times in the past but i guess the melody only mattered most then, But the translation by you has honestly made a different impact now whenever i hear it. It very profound and thought provoking . thnxs a ton for the upload. May God always bless you !!!!!!!Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!!!

  • As vivid and persuasive a definition of divinity in its multiple manifestations as one would ever find in a single short poem, and better than all the ponderous scriptures of the world. And you did a very refined translation, scarcely a "rough" one as you say in modesty. The pictures excellently illustrate the theme. Thank you, SJisBack.

  • The JOY you gave me through this song, is inexpressible!

I was already SO touched & mesmerized by the "sound" of this deeply touching beautiful melody in Hrishikesh Ranade's Soullful rendition; for I don't know Marathi but could guess the "feel" of it as I know Sanskrit it stems from.

YOUR eloquent translation of it, & perfectly apt images unfurled a whole new meaning, a blossom of thoughts, an added beauty & depth to this GEM that touched my Soul!

    Am Humbled in Gratitude!!

    Thanks SJ! 12DEC10'
