  • CONTINUED : Oops wrong word in 1st part of post. Should just leave out left & right designation and stick to front and rear springs. Should read " for some reason turns the lower receiver right side up and the RIGHT rear take down spring falls out,"

Brett your video's are great and very helpful. I refer to them often. Thanks

  • CONTINUED : This tiny gold color pin I believe holds the take down spring in its proper place resting in the indent of the take down pin itself which acts as the stop to prevent the take down pin from coming all the way out when gun is assembled. So I turned the lower receiver upside down again, put the take down pin all the way in, put the tiny gold pin in the spring indent and the rear take down pin spring back into the indent and all was good finishing the grip installation Just for your info

  • @dogmann4 where dose the blue spring go front or rear? tks

  • Question : When you have the grip off, have the left front safety fire selector spring off, and see the right rear take down pin spring which as you say stays in the indent. As long as the lower receiver stays upside down this take down spring stays in the indent. However if like myself for some reason turns the lower receiver right side up and the left rear take down spring falls out, I found that there is a tiny Gold color pin that falls out too. TO BE CONTINUED IN NEXT POST

  • Thanks for the video, made putting my new grip on very easy. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks Brett... Great video. Hawkeye10

  • Question for ya....Is that hogue grip specific to the 15-22, or does any AR grip fit? The ones I've seen have the rounded back lip and I haven't seen one that was squared off like yours

  • @mhayd990

The Hogue grip is a standard AR Grip. The 15-22 takes standard AR grips with two caveats. The MAGPUL Mission Adaptable Grip has some issues in the take down pin spring area and the larger curved back straps don't seem to fit tight against the lower receiver.

    The Hogue fits perfectly.

  • Great videos Brett, keep up the great work!

  • Thanks
