Learned this lick from this video last week, and with about 30 minutes of practice you can do it almost perfectly. Depends how good you are, if your Tim Roth then it takes about .00001 seconds to learn XD

i was told that other pickups woudlnt work as well with this guitar though, bcos of its shape? the dimarzio/ibz ones are built specifically for this guitar. Do you know if this is true?

i have not heard that, though i hope not, i love the guitar, it is the easiest guitar to play ever, but i started with jacksons, and the jacksons have such a kick with the distortion, i want to be able to mimic it with this one, so i hope that it is not true

My friend had a black Ibanez S series and put DiMarzio pickups in it (Steve's Special in the bridge & Air Norton in the neck), and it sounded fantastically amazing.

SO, I'd say whoever told you that doesn't really know what they're talking about, because I know first hand that at least DiMarzio pickups sound awesome in it.

(unless of course you buy a terrible DiMarzio pickup like the Air Zone or something haha)

The Ibanez S7320 is probably very close to what you're looking for. The main difference is the H-H setup instead of H-S-H compared to the S470 Roth uses. Other than the extra string ofc. :)
