I don't care what everyone says, this idiot was going way too fast for the enviroment he's in. In such a place you have to expect everything, children on bikes grannies crossing the road without looking, and the occasional other driver doing a dumb move. The other driver though he was getting away with it because everyone was driving slowly. Idiot was driving like he's on a track or a drag race in the middle of the city and filming himself on top of that. This accident could have been avoided.

Don't agree. The speed limit is clearly marked 50Kph = 30mph, this idiot was doing way more than that hitting 3rd gear probably 50=60mph which is 80-100kph . . therefore the offence here has been commited by the speeding car . . the car pulling out could reasonably argue that when he saw him he thought the other cars distance was far enough away. He could not have known that he was speeding so far over the limit . . if dashcam was used in evidence it convicts the speeding driver!

I drive for a living everyday, I have a car cam, he was accelerating and speeding (I can tell from the noise and video footage based on watching my own footage) This does not detract from the fact a car pulled out in front of him who was in the wrong. (6 and 1 and half a dozen the other)

If your an experienced driver - like many people on this forum are, myself included, you can tell that the driver is going way too fast for the built-up area and road conditions. The main give-away is the car's engine revving its head off as the driver hammers it way above the 50k/m (31mph) speed limit.

If the police seen this video I supsect they'd charge the driver with speeding and 'driving with undue care'. If an insurance company seen this video I reckon they would a) refuse to pay out to the speeding driver for this accident, and b) They'd probably double her insurance premiums in future as she's clearly a liability.

This accident was preventable if the driver wasnt speeding. Plus she didnt seem to brake hard but ploughed into the other car, almost on purpose.
