  • The Indian dance is pretty cool stuff.

  • @57highland For cross-dressing Mexicans, I'd sat so too!

  • Yo these boys were way ahead of the times..

  • It just so happens they charted number one many times overseas. Pat and Lolly were Yaqui//Shoshone and Mexican if you bothered to research their heritage. True Redbones. Beautiful people!

  • I think the Indian dance was incredible.

  • I am not a racist but did we really need to see that part in the beginning? Kind of annoying. As I said this is not a racist statement.

  • @michellesupport89 Yes, we really did need to see that part in the beginning, the Indian dance. It's part of our collective American history.

  • @57highland Okay I can underastand that. Sorryn if my comment was a bit rude.

  • I'd only learned the ethnicity of this band as an adult. As a kid, I simply loved this song. It will go down as one of the most sincere and fun pop songs of the '70s. What great fun.

  • Roofers dressed-up like injuns! Gotta luv it! LOL!

  • keep faith in your ancestors....because of them we are who we are.

  • I played this 45 to death. Loved this song, still do!!

  • @chitwin23 AWESOME!!! I have loved this group and song for many decades. I am happy to see REDBONE, is truly RED BONE. They are BEAUTIFUL!!! The video makes the experience of this song soooooo much more powerful.

  • @SkidRowJosephine I pray you find your way out of the gutter, I mean off skid row real soon.

  • I heard a rumor that these cats were buddies with Vinnie Stigmata

  • @RedSoxFan4eva1000 why do you have to assume all white people are racist. my hispanic sister-in-law is the biggest racist asshole I have ever met.

  • @RedSoxFan4eva1000 :) There is a BIG difference between "White Trash" and a bigoted racist. I would know.... I'm considered "white trash" One Love Bitches! <3

  • @SkidRowJosephine What do you think Mexican people are? ; They're essentially Native American bred with Spanish settlers, not that it matters of course, it's a great video, and it's a pity, there's not many bands making music like this anymore.

  • What a great song. From the comments below i assume it was a big hit in the US ? I don't recall it getting any airplay here in the Uk - shame. Thanks for sharing.

  • @nigelloflaveo It reached #1 over here in the US...and you're right, it probably didn't get much airplay in the UK, it didn't even chart there.....you lot's loss.

  • Hey Right On Great 70s Song!!! Thank's for posting it <):^ )

  • skidrowjosephine you are a pile of shit get it right 2 of the men are from a tribe in the state of washington I know this because they are my uncles boys from this side of the family you are a true dumb ass

  • @chitwin23 Precious one, do NOT give any nasty people the waste of your time and energy with responding to them. I am sorry for your loss, and please give Pat, an Angel hug, they were all fabulous. Hold your head up high and forget trashy people who love trashing others. Makes them feel good hiding behind their monikers. They ain't worth the salt of your tear. God Bless you baby.

  • I've never heard this old gem live. That traditional Native American get up is beautiful.

  • Thanks for posting this video.

  • been a big fan of these guys since my friend rick fryefeild turned me on to them waaaay back in the 70s

  • This live shot is actually leaps and bounds better than the album cut.

Out of curiosity, from which group's tradition did the dance at the beginning of the video come from?

  • Great song, growing up hearing it I never knew that it was by a native american band. Very talented. Come and get your love, what a grest message.

  • Thank you for posting this incredible footage of the extraordinary Redbone singing "Come and Get Your Love." I absolutely adore Redbone. My heart was melting when I saw Redbone perform this song for the first time. I am part Native American and loved seeing such talented and gifted Native American musical artist. All the band members are beautiful and sexy. I loved how they were put together. I will always be grateful to Redbone for their wonderul music. Love and appreciation to Red Bone!

  • keep your racial comments to yourself!!!!

  • @SkidRowJosephine Roofers

  • One of the nicest, most cheerful songs I know.....

  • @supergordon24fan grate song

  • At 57, I've always adored this song, my all time favorite. Soulful grove & wonderful beat. I always listened to it on the radio, but never saw the group. So proud to recently learn that they are mixed blood of Mexican & Native American. Proud of them breaking into mainstream. This is coming from an Afro-Asian. And for some of the full blooded Natives, who seem to not want to give them full credit since you do not view them as real or full Indian, get over it and still be proud.

  • sounds like Cyndi Lauper borrowed a bit from this song.

  • I hear this and I'm 16 in Coney Island walking down the boardwalk with Maurice and Cindy.

  • This Native American group is tough! And were PLAYED on every R & B Station in Buffalo NY, and Also across the USA ! Come And Get IT! Thanks for posting!

  • Great song. Classic stuff. At 00:30, kind of looks like John Lennon sitting near the stage.

  • RIP Lolly. The beauty of your person and energy of your work lives after you!

  • I've always loved this song. I never knew the band was Native American. Very cool. Anyone know what tribe?

  • I've always loved this song. I never knew the band was Native American. Very cool.

  • @Pr0lifik

Why are you writting hate mail. It's against the LAW. I am going to contact the F.B.I. and give this information to them, MORON.

  • Love this band. Rest in Peace my friends you are sorely missed.

  • @skipper8257 Are they all dead now?

  • @949galaxy

No. Pat who is the bass player and lead singer is still alive and playing with new members.

  • yes oh yes this song never fails to get the fingers snappin', the feet stompin', the body movin', Redbone got my love so much....

  • Well it just never gets old.....these cats rule!!!! Love you lunigal!!! you rule too!!!

  • this is badass! love the tribal dance in the intro.

  • @kellter70 Yeah, ' wetback roofers-tribe,' vato.

  • @SkidRowJosephine mixed race actually of which Native is one of them.

  • @SkidRowJosephine

I suggest you do a little research of the Native Americans before you sound off about stuff you have no clue. There are Native Americans from Canada to South America. And your comments smell of bigotry. I feel sorry for you.

  • @SkidRowJosephine

No doubt you're elsewhere, and not a moment too soon. Troll. Indian garb my arse. I'm Cherokee. We, along with other tribes and MEXICANS, are Indigenous What are you?.

  • YOU,RACIST A**HOLES! They were indians!@! Check out the history of the band! Besides, what difference does it make? You cut any of us , and we will all bleed the SAME DAMN COLOR!!!

  • does the midnight special show makes all the artists perform in lip sync? because most of the performances had no wires on the instruments, well the bee gees performance was definitely live but most i think arent

  • @MrPinaka all live according to the show's producers

  • @MrPinaka You can't tell this is live?

  • I love this performance

  • @itsobvious2 me 2

  • @SkidRowJosephine does it matter?

  • R.I.P. Tony Bellamy & Lolly Vegas. We'll never forget you.

  • why so much hate in these comments? whether it was a one hit wonder or if they were 100% Indian who cares.

This band created a song that will live forever and have a legacy to it.

  • @startrekstuntman I totally agree! People need to get over it and just enjoy this great piece of musical history. It is a great song, and the fact that we are discussing it today shows its lasting power. Rock on!

  • I love it!!

  • Always liked this song, nice to see this performance, thanks.

  • Yes, this isn't nearly offensive as people doing the tomahawk chop at Atlanta Braves games. Why didn't these guys just call out bingo numbers as they lip synched this song?

  • @mrentertainment43 they aren't lip syncing.

  • This is awesome, nice clear video Thanks!

  • Love the base by Pat ... never tire of listening to Come And Get Your Love.

  • The name Redbone itself is a joking reference to a Cajun term for a mixed-race person ("half-breed"), the band's members being of mixed blood ancestry.[1] The band referenced Cajun and New Orleans culture many times in their lyrics and performing style.

  • THIS IM SURE WAS A ONE HIT WONDER.

  • The guy on bass is too pretty to be a 'boy'. And the skirt 'n 'GO-GO' boots! Too funny!

Still the best Filipino band out of L.A. since the Beach Boys!

  • First time seeing this group in action. Beautiful song...Err...they're not all American Indian?! Gee, I'm a little disappointed.

  • always thought lolly was indian never new latino big fan of redbone skating room memories

  • Great song and even better video!!! Thanks for the good memories...!!!

  • @SkidRowJosephine I saw your recent activity where you chased videos by this group for the purpose of negative commentary. Get a vibrator. Your angst is way out of bounds.

  • perfection and beautiful is LOLLY VEGAS forever

  • OH YEAH!!! Man this brings back memories! You gotta love em! ohhhh yeah! ~:)

  • Originally from Fresno, California, brothers Patrick Vasquez (bass and vocals) and Lolly Vasquez (guitar and vocals) moved to Los Angeles in 1969 to form the group Redbone. RIP Lolly.

  • Been watching this video off and on for a couple of weeks now, stumbled across this while searching for Midnight Special videos, I love this live version, heard the song before but never knew who sang it.

  • Lolly is in heaven and had a beautiful send off.
