Does this mean you should cut off your hands? If need be, but it shouldn't come to that. I interpret this more as there being nothing more important in life than being sin free.

@Nyrroc96: Some Pagans/Wiccans do refer to themselves as witches. It's a personal choice and it depends on your practice. Ones who work with blessings, spells, etc. are usually more inclined to go by the title 'witch'.

I'm glad that there are other Christians out there that aren't afraid to say what they want whether it offends people or not! I always felt like I was kinda going against God's way of life when people get offended by stuff I said. I said it anyway, but it just didn't feel right. However, Brad has confirmed what I initially thought was true, God didn't invent PC or anything, that's the work of society and we shouldn't let it affect us at all!

Wicca deals with the powers of darkness-which is Satan-not the powers of God. Any religion other than one that follows the BIble exclusively is pagan, not of God, and therefore is of Satan. So yes, Wicca is worshiping Satan despite what you say.

BTW the real Wiccans know that Wicca is only 60 years old. And the duality of a male god and a female goddess in Wicca is also found in jewish mysticism. Real british traditional wicca draws a lot of its material from old rosicrucian "christian" and jewish mystic lore.
@EFKA526 First of all, if someone wants to take a religion and put some mystic lore into it that does not mean the religion believed it. People try to 'mystisize' the Bible by saying Christ was married and all that garbage. Second, to say I am using 'Christian terms' is to general. Tons of people that say they are Christians claim that name but are not. I am using the Bible-the rock solid word of God- to analyze other religions and that is the best way to view things since God is always right.

My statement about pagan religions comes from the Bible. If you choose to argue and disagree you are really doing so w/God. @PaisleyPlace The major desicion for me in choosing to believe the Bible was the fact that Jesus is the only One who conquered death. Mohamad is dead. Buhda is mass produced on some assembly line in China as are all the other idols. Allah is a skewed version of God. But the main piont is all the other gods out there are dead, or mythical like the Greek ones. Why would I serve a god who can't help me? Why not serve the One who had to power to rise from the dead?

@PaisleyPlace I learned alot and don't pity me. Christians are not foerbidden to even consider other religions. In fact, we are encouraged to look at other religions so we know more than just own way of thinking, so we can understand where others are coming from. Many Christians have chosen to follow other religions once they looked at them, but then for many like me, those religons only confirmed that what I know it true. It made the Lord all the more real and strengthend my faith.

@PaisleyPlace Others have tried to show me and it doesn't work. I struggled w/ my faith, the Bible, etc. I was looking at other faiths that made me to think. I prayed and told God that if He was real He was going to have to show me. I struggled for 3 yrs, but He was faithful and even when I doubted He revealed Himself, just in everyday life.
And just so you know, I am not going to live w/mom/dad. I have a boyfriend and we are making plans. So, yes, I can think for myself and I am independant.

@PaisleyPlace I'm not going to college b/c it's not what God has for my life. If I was not independent I would't have a boyfriend, I would cling to my parents my whole life which I'm not going to do. I work retail which requires I be very outgoing and think outside the box. I'm not afraid of losing my boyfriend, and though we are making plans they don't have to do with moving in with him. He is in Cal. at college and the plans we're making have to do with after he is done.

Newspapers don't hire anyone except newspaper delivery people without a college degree. You won't be writing for the paper, if that was your plan. @PaisleyPlace I have a college ed. There's a program here where you can take college credits while still in H.S. I have an AA. I have a future. I'm going be a writer and the path I plan will make money, not millions, but enough. My boyfriend isn't sleeping with me and giving us have kids when we can't be in the same state. HE is fine and decent, unlike you apparently. If we get married and he dies, then I will cross that path. But I have the Lord and I'm not worried. He will take care of me.

The best you'll do is start out in the mailroom or obits column, if even that. Plus, you will NEVER get enough work as a freelance writer or any other type of writer with an AA. There is no way you received the education while in high school that would match what you receive at a REAL college. Get your BA degree & you might have half a chance. Again, it takes yrs of exp, contacts, & a hefty portfolio & even then you'll likely never make enough to pay bills

Unless god's writing your work for you while you veg out in front of the TV, that's about the only way you'll get any work but it still won't support you or a boyfriend. @ilovemymilitary In a way, I agree with PaisleyPlace. I AM a writer. I'm 45, and it's taken me more than 20 yrs to get where I am. Which is finally enough life experience to write my first real Stage Play and Screenplay. For one to write ones opinions is one thing. But to actually write is something else. Practice and learn. But remember, life is where you'll get your real experience. College will just give you a degree/grade saying that you've taken some classes on the subject.

I'm glad that there are other Christians out there that aren't afraid to say what they want whether it offends people or not! I always felt like I was kinda going against God's way of life when people get offended by stuff I said. I said it anyway, but it just didn't feel right. However, Brad has confirmed what I initially thought was true, God didn't invent PC or anything, that's the work of society and we shouldn't let it affect us at all!

Wicca deals with the powers of darkness-which is Satan-not the powers of God. The dictionary defines Wicca as 'the religious cult of modern witchcraft, claiming it's origins in pre-Christian pagan religions.' Any religion other than one that follows the BIble exclusively is pagan, not of God, and therefore is of Satan. So yes, Wicca is worshiping Satan despite what you say.

BTW the real Wiccans know that Wicca is only 60 years old. And the duality of a male god and a female goddess in Wicca is also found in jewish mysticism. Real british traditional wicca draws a lot of its material from old rosicrucian "christian" and jewish mystic lore.

I am using the Bible-the rock solid word of God- to analyze other religions and that is the best way to view things since God is always right.

@ilovemymilitary 'Scuse me.. "Any religion other than one that follows the BIble exclusively is pagan, not of God, and therefore is of Satan." Do you also count the Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism as religions? Not to mention other, less well known religions? I believe this discussion is all getting a wee bit black and white, don't you guys think? Isn't there really enough trouble in the world to be offended and to bicker about religion? Seriously guys? Why not go for a nice walk or something ;)

@LittleWhiteLy Religion is simply something you believe. It is a set of standards by which you set morals whether is be according to Hinduism, Atheism, or Christianity.
My statement about pagan religions comes from the Bible. If you choose to argue and disagree you are really doing so w/God. In the Bible, God destroyed nations that were pagan and punished the Israelites for turning to false gods. Modern day proof? Haiti said years ago Satan was their leader and look at their history since.

@jfox7733 You hit the nail on the proverbial head with that one. I doubt Missy ILMM hasn't been off the corner block let alone out in the real world where real people live. IF, and that's a big if, ILMM goes to college, will she go home crying if she's dorm-roomed w/ a gother, Jew, Buddhist, Muslim, or Wiccan? LOL! I guess she'll think she gets to choose her dorm-mate but I'm sure we both know it doesn't work that way. Not even close. I had great dorm-mates tho'. Some don't but I did as did DH.

@PaisleyPlace First of all, I am not going to college. And of course I know you can't chooose your dorm-mates. However, I do know from friends (of differant faiths) that you can request a dorm-mate if you have a friend you are going with, etc.

@PaisleyPlace also i have read your comments and you talk about Christians being not being tolerate and to me it sounds like you are not tolerate of Christians. now yes there are some crazy people out there that claim to be Christians but there not and for that reason you think we are all the same well you are wrong. go to the Family Church in Bryant AR and you will see that is what real Christians are. the pastor is Perry Black.

@PaisleyPlace Well, I know a lot about life because the Lord of all has taught me. I grew up in a church that was spiritualy ill so most of what I know was taught to me by the Lord Himself. And I do understand the world and other religions because I have asked the Lord for wisdom and understanding and He has given it to me. And apparently all you want to do is argue also so good day to you as well and I will be praying for you.

@ilovemymilitary You are a child & you haven't learned the first thing about other religions. What religions did you study in college OTHER THAN Christianity? Did you study Buddhism? Did you study Hinduism? Did you study Muslim? Have you actually read the Quran? Did you student Greek Mythology? Did you bitch at the teachers or did you actually do the work? I HAVE studied this religions, I did the work, & enjoyed it. Christianity takes away Ur control by making U feel bad for being open/tolerant.

@PaisleyPlace For your info, I have studied other religions and for me it comes down to this, First of all, to go to Heaven according to the Bible I don't have to do anything. I don't have to get it right before I come to Him. l I just have to tell the Lord I am sorry for sinning and thenafter I am accepted, make an effort w/ His help to live a life pleasing to Him. I shouldn't have to please Him you say? Well, He is God and He did die an awuful death so I could live so I owe it to Him.

@PaisleyPlace The major desicion for me in choosing to believe the Bible was the fact that Jesus is the only One who conquered death. Mohamad is dead. Buhda is mass produced on some assembly line in China as are all the other idols. Allah is a skewed version of God. But the main piont is all the other gods out there are dead, or mythical like the Greek ones. Why would I serve a god who can't help me? Why not serve the One who had to power to rise from the dead?

@ilovemymilitary Now I'm quite sure you SHOULD ATTEND COLLEGE but DON'T let your parents choose the courses you take b/c you could learn alot about the world's different religions if you would only open yourself up to it but no, you plan to quit having a life of your own to become dutiful barefoot pregnant breeder, maid to a house, nanny to kids, & whore to a husband you probably don't love b/c you settled vs going out to find your Mr. Right as it's doubtful he's been in a 5-mi radius your life.

@ilovemymilitary The time for politeness & tact is over. That's the primary problem with kids of your generation. You expect adults to give & give & then sugarcoat everything so you go out believing the world owes you something. All it owes you is a swift kick in the ass & that's what you'll receive. It takes yrs to build contacts & a lengthy portfolio to earn a living income in freelance writing. I should know, I'm a pro freelance writer w/yrs of experience, contacts & work - much I turn down.

What will you do if when you die you're standing before Buddha? or Allah? or Ganesha or Shiva? or a God w/EQUAL Goddess? or you have to answer to Mother Earth for the destruction you caused while this land was in your care? @PaisleyPlace I learned alot and don't pity me. Christians are not foerbidden to even consider other religions. In fact, we are encouraged to look at other religions so we know more than just own way of thinking, so we can understand where others are coming from. Many Christians have chosen to follow other religions once they looked at them, but then for many like me, those religons only confirmed that what I know it true. It made the Lord all the more real and strengthend my faith.

@PaisleyPlace Others have tried to show me and it doesn't work. I struggled w/ my faith, the Bible, etc. I was looking at other faiths that made me to think. I prayed and told God that if He was real He was going to have to show me. I struggled for 3 yrs, but He was faithful and even when I doubted He revealed Himself, just in everyday life.
And just so you know, I am not going to live w/mom/dad. I have a boyfriend and we are making plans. So, yes, I can think for myself and I am independant.

That sounds like the sheltered, naive, anything-but-independent person I've heard of in years. Are you afraid to go to college? Afraid of losing boyfriend or the brainwashing from childhood wearing off? Which is it? You're anything BUT independent. You're attached like a bit/bridle to this sheltered non-life.

@PaisleyPlace I'm not going to college b/c it's not what God has for my life. If I was not independent I would't have a boyfriend, I would cling to my parents my whole life which I'm not going to do. I work retail which requires I be very outgoing and think outside the box. I'm not afraid of losing my boyfriend, and though we are making plans they don't have to do with moving in with him. He is in Cal. at college and the plans we're making have to do with after he is done.

@ilovemymilitary Clinging to your boyfriend makes him nothing more than a surrogate for your parents. Besides, you won't go anywhere with merely a high school diploma. Newspapers don't hire anyone except newspaper delivery people without a college degree. You won't be writing for the paper, if that was your plan. It doesn't happen without a college degree in the field of writing not to mention the skills to get stories and verify sources. The best you'll get is the movie theater time or obits.

@PaisleyPlace I am moving after Christmas to work on my writing career where I have no family or friends within 100 ml. Now, does all that sound very dependent and sheltered to you? I don't think so. I love to be out on my own and now that I can go live in a new place I am looking forward to it. Oh, yes, I have traveled before by myself outside of the Pacific Northwest where I live. So, don't assume you know all about me 'cause you don't.

You're the one who needs your prayers, prayers that you wake the hell up and go to college before you look back 30 years from now with more regrets than you have room for in your mind, body, and heart. You'll have no education, no future, & what happens when the new little hubby dies & you have to get a job with all the kids you put out & you have to raise them alone? Get a grip & go to college so you can actually HAVE a life!

@PaisleyPlace I have a college ed. There's a program here where you can take college credits while still in H.S. I have an AA. I have a future. I'm going be a writer and the path I plan will make money, not millions, but enough. My boyfriend isn't sleeping with me and giving us have kids when we can't be in the same state. HE is fine and decent, unlike you apparently. If we get married and he dies, then I will cross that path. But I have the Lord and I'm not worried. He will take care of me.

@ilovemymilitary You might, which I doubt it, have an associate in something, which I doubt has anything to do with freelance writing. The best you'll do is start out in the mailroom or obits column, if even that. I'm not your mom or your dad or even your big sister so I don't have to play nice.The world of freelance is cruel & it will tear you to shreds. I guess you best hope that your lord has a job & can chip in for rent b/c you won't make it on your work b/c you're lacking experience & voice

So that tells me you expect him to cover your expenses while you attempt to make it on no education, no experience, no contacts, & no portfolio. Attend a real college & intern in the summers. Perhaps 1 day you'll have a decent portfolio, contacts list, & know enough people in high places to give you a boost & trade off work w/so you may be able to earn a living but right now, you're in a pipe-dream.

@ilovemymilitary An AA isn't a college education. You might be able to turn burgers with an AA but not get REAL job. Plus, you will NEVER get enough work as a freelance writer or any other type of writer with an AA. There is no way you received the education while in high school that would match what you receive at a REAL college. Get your BA degree & you might have half a chance. Again, it takes yrs of exp, contacts, & a hefty portfolio & even then you'll likely never make enough to pay bills

@ilovemymilitary And at 19, even if you're 20, you haven't lived enough to have any experience to write on any subject with any dept of understanding. Unless god's writing your work for you while you veg out in front of the TV, that's about the only way you'll get any work but it still won't support you or a boyfriend. You know NOTHING of life in the real world b/c you've not lived there. After 20+yrs of marriage, raising a child to adult, covering accidents, & death, then claim Ur a writer.

@ilovemymilitary In a way, I agree with PaisleyPlace. I AM a writer. I'm 45, and it's taken me more than 20 yrs to get where I am. Which is finally enough life experience to write my first real Stage Play and Screenplay. For one to write ones opinions is one thing. But to actually write is something else. Practice and learn. But remember, life is where you'll get your real experience. College will just give you a degree/grade saying that you've taken some classes on the subject.

I am well aware of the world of writers and the struggles it takes to get to the top. I am taking college to get a degree b/c without one in this world I don't have much of a chance of anything.
