  • What the HELL are you listening to?

  • @ambientflier, I already stated what the song is, fag. You newb. ;)

  • @MrFurionar, your post has been removed, fag.

  • you need fuel

  • @smn368, lol

  • My 2011 F-Sport IS350 seems faster off the line than my 2008 IS350 did. Thanks goes to my awesome dark graphite lightweight F-Sport wheels.

  • hahahaha the fuel light came on!

  • 5.35 sec+

  • @Viperfet, hey cute Viperboy, it's 4.7 sec. If it was 5.35 the Infiniti G35 would have been 6.8 seconds and Acura TL at 7.3 seconds, roughly speaking.

  • @shkv40 Hey cute Shkv40 boy, when did you start the stopwatch? I did the same with one and I was getting 5.35 +/-. No hating, just want to know, I started SW when rpms passed Idle +- 1000rpms

  • @Viperfet, Viper cute chick, it was the ACCELEROMETER that was used, not the lame "stopwatch" the typical youtube kids rely on. You can't rely on the instrumental gauges to time it. The time is measured when the car actually moves via G-force. Watch the next video that shows the time.

  • @Viperfet, Viper kid with glasses.

  • @Viperfet i did the test on my phone and it was 4.8 sec, awesome car!

  • @johnnieares93, thanks.

    Good post. + rep.

  • lol and the gas light comes 0n

  • @TheUtube4ever thats because all the torque pushes all the gasoline to the back of the tank, which will trigger to read as low fuel, im sure once it stabled it turned off

  • interesting music choice lol

  • @andytaurus, lol thanks.:) Maybe I should've playing some DJ Krush or something. That might have been a better combination.

  • @shkv40 Honestly, what the are you listening to? How can you talk about the maniless when you're listening to whatever the hell rubbish was?

  • @BSAcamper2009, it's a Japanese pop from Yuki. Her voice is cute and unique, making the jpop music one of the kinds. It did not affect my concentration when I ran the 0-60's. The music helped my adrenalin going so this is good. If you don't like this music, I'll try to play something else when I run my '11 F-Sport IS350 I have now.

  • it drives me nuts when i see old grandma's driving this 55 on the highway. this thing deserves to be driven 80-90 on the highway

  • @tkdman360, it's unlikely to see grandma driving an IS350 as this is man's car (and women who like speed). Grandma's are likely seen in cars like cadillac, lincoln, and such. but yeah, i agree, this car is meant to be driven hard.

  • @shkv40

I would've agreed with you 5 years ago, but these days, Lexus (with the exception of the IS350 and the IS-F) has become the new grandma car. Cadillacs are quickly becoming competitive with the Germans and are no longer old people cars since they're getting rid of the Grandpa car DTS's and STS's.

  • @alep85, I was referring to the DTS's or the like. I think even the base trim CTS is grandma-like. Lincoln towncar would be the best example.

  • @tkdman360 the thing is when you own a lexus, you understand what its capable of and take advantage of its luxury qualities. Im 21 and i drive my lexus like grandmas , cause im confident in my ride. Only when i feel the need for speed i will hit the canyons and speed on the freeway

  • @Primer9 Thats exactly what i do,i have a BMW 540i and i dont need to proove to people that its fast by speeding,i cruise control it at the max speed limit and haters always tail gate me.

  • @quatroportte yeah man and they try to look threw your limo tints see whos driving , but its a fail lolololololpol

  • i timed about 5 so pretty accurate title

  • @shkv40 did u know lexus is-f is faster than mercedes c63 amg? and the lexus lf-a is faster than the new mercedes sls amg

  • @rrfa5cy, so what? who cares? IS-F styling is overly done, excessive. Where in the public will be rolling from 80~ 170 mph? 110~ 120 mph is an idea. Yes, IS-F is fast but I look for things more than just speed. I got an IS350 F Sport now and it blows the doors off IS-F in terms of styling.

  • @shkv40 mercedes has a reputation alright....a reputation of high maintenance and crappy reliability.

  • @MVP15420 fact

  • @MVP15420, good post. + rep

  • @shkv40 I'm sorry you couldn't afford the car anymore.

  • @Grangertown lol

  • @NancyPelosi1954, lol what. I now own a brand new 2011 IS350 F-Sport and I couldn't be happier... go check out new vids.

  • @shkv40 OH WOW!

  • @shkv40 what car did u get noww?

  • @MBrabusG55, 2011 Tungsten Pearl IS350 w/ F-Sport pkg, fully loaded. well, almost.

  • more like 6 secs....

  • @Euphorica, you are a fag. If this Lexus took 6 sec, the BMW 335i would have taken 6.5 sec. G37 @ 6.7 sec. Basically, add 1.5 sec on all cars. You are a fag.

  • @shkv40

hahaha u mad bro? g37 will beat a IS anyday. 335i will blow its doors off.

  • @BearsDkills, IS350 is faster than any G37 stock for stock. 335i is closer comparison. G37 falls behind. Nice try.

  • @BearsDkills

Buddy, I have a car now that blows all these cars (Porsche 911). I have done my research and considering all the cars you mentioned for my daily driver. Trust me, the IS350 will beat them all and with grace.

  • @denalibandit

well then maybe the 335 I drove was special then? Bc it was stock and blew off a Is350 with 2+ car lengths.

  • @BearsDkills, maybe the guy in the IS350 wasn't racing. He was just driving like normal and you thought he was racing. I see that happen a lot on the street. From dig, if he was serious, and had traction control off, and know how to push the IS to the limit, you would see completely the opposite result. You should be thankful that you got lost by just 2+ car lengths.

  • Comment removed

  • @Euphorica, I see you got mean to me and decided to remove your own post. Let me quote what u said "really? lol did you hear the music your listening to? you dont have a foot to stand on. go back to fapping to your bs rice boy 0-60 times. clown" - what's music got to do with 0-60 take off? Even if I had music off, my 0-60 wouldn't have been affected. Japanese music is cute and cool. You should listen to it. I love it. And i'm not rice boy, I'm a handsome looking gentleman.

  • love the car and music haha

  • get the 370z! i have it myself and its a great car

  • @jaex26, I really like the exterior design of the 370z but I'm having hard time accepting the steering wheel. The dash isn't too bad looking but is it soft to the touch? I don't want hard plastic... I do love manual transmission it provides though and speed..

  • I like how the tachometer likes up.

  • hahaha the gas light came on

  • get some fuel

  • too bad is350 doesn't come in manual...and the is250 (which comes in manual) isn't anywhere close to being as fast.

  • @bleeblaabloo, my IS350 has already been sold. I am thinking about getting myself an BMW 135i Sport manual or 370z... I'm not sure what to do.

  • @shkv40 get the 370Z! my cousin just got a 135i, i have driven it its just as good as the 370Z however his car has had so many problems with it in the last 6 months its crazy!

  • @shkv40 go with the 370z its much better looking and funner to drive the the shitty 1 series

  • IS 350 ftw

  • what do u use to time ur 0 to 60 mph ? How it is called ?

    Nice car and video .

  • @sebasmondoux666, sorry for the late reply. It's an accelerometer called Vector FX1 from Beltronics. The accuracy is as good as the G Tech Pro SS. Both devices are said to be only off by within 0.1 sec compare to the drag light. I got rid of my car though cause I've got a brand new house. I'm planning to get me a nice car again maybe in 3 months or so.

  • what do u use to time ur 0 to 60 mph ? How it is called ?

    Nice car and video 5stars

  • The Infiniti G37 is faster, even an old 2007-2008 G35 sedan catches up and passes the IS350 at higher speeds(about 120 mph)... the BMW 335i is faster than both the G37 and the IS350 though...

  • @98MAzdaMilleniaS, faster in what? from dig or roll? From dig IS350 is still faster than the G37 7-spd auto. From roll at high speeds it's a different story. The older version of G37 is no faster than the 2nd gen G35. It's actually, slower, heavy and poor gearing.

  • Comment removed

  • @98MAzdaMilleniaS, you don't need to correct me. Are you having trouble comprehending what I said earlier? I clearly said older version G37 is no faster than the 2nd gen G35, it's actually slower. No need to repeat the same content twice.

  • @98MAzdaMilleniaS, and 2007~ 2008 model G35 is second gen. Just say "2nd gen", you don't have to type in the exact year... to save your typing.

  • is there a power mode in the is350?

  • @poulet16bits, yes. The ECT has three modes: Snow - Normal - Power

Though the Normal mode is a tad faster in straight line racing.

  • is your car standard?

  • @proudsubaruwrxowner, standard as in package or performance? For package, it's a Sport Package. It's not modded, bone stock. Sport package come with a nice high quality finish sport pedals. They look gorgeous.

  • @shkv40 no i mean 6 speed manual

  • @proudsubaruwrxowner, it's an 6-speed automatic. Lexus does not offer manual transmission on IS350, only the IS250 is available with manual.

  • It's a shame we don't have IS 350's in Finland, only 250's... I'd love to import one though

  • @dibsoniitti, that would be good idea. I know that people in Korea buy cars from U.S. and bring them over to their country too. It's cheaper that way. I noticed IS350 is not available in many countries except US, Canada, and maybe few more..

  • By the way...Magazine's are paid advertiser's. For insurance purposes most technical data can be "Non-certified", but still printed for informational purposes. You can bet all new cars from Ford Chevy and the rest fudge up to protect the insurance rate's for their car's. Anyone the stoplight races knows that's where the fun begins. We just have find out what these car's are really capable of.

  • @Vandekamps01, agreed.. well said! :)

  • Yes it's true........I own a 06 IS350 and stock with new tires and VDIM off I can quite regularly get 13.4 to 13.8's in the 1.4 mile and 4.6's 0-60. Period!! With all the mods I have a friend who pulls down 4.3's to 4.6's and 13.0 to 13.5 in the 1.4. Simply put it's the most efficiently factory max tuned V6 ever produced. Granted you can spend alot of money and only gain about a half second but that will let you kill so many more cars at stoplight's. Vette's anyone?

  • @Vandekamps01 Um, no. The lexus V6 is efficient and powerful but the reason why these cars are quick is mostly the gearing. It is fairly low. Nissan makes a V6 that's 350hp, versus 306 in the Lexus, and Nissan's isn't even direct injected, if it was, it would be 370+...

  • yea i am gettin everything on it

  • cool well i am gettin a brand new 2010 lexus IS350 tommorrow what does the exhaust sound like good or bad n have u got lots of chick comments? lol

  • @WcSoccer13, wow cool, congrats for getting a new car. I'm sure you will love it. Well the interior of the car is pretty quiet so I can't hear exhaust noise much. I just love its refinement. Yea my corporate manager told me I have a chick car... the other guy online told me it looks like an egg.. lol. what color are you getting? Mine is black w/ tan interior..

  • @WcSoccer13, oh and be sure to get the one equipped with Sport package. It comes with sport tuned suspension and stiffer shocks. Also the front end comes 1/2" lower. And are you getting Mark Levinson stereo system? it's a nice touch, very good sound. Mine doesn't have it though. :(

  • wat is the rev max when you use the paddle shifters like was the limit where u get a good shift

  • @WcSoccer13, it's the same. The max it will allow you is 6500+ rpm, 64xx rpm if you are in ECT Power mode. And never manually use the paddle shifter (or the shifter nob) to shift the gears as there is too much delay. Set it to Auto and let the computer do the job of acceleration as it knows exactly when to shift.

  • wats the rev max on this car

  • @WcSoccer13, 6500+ rpm before the shift, with Normal ECT mode.

  • I have a 2010 IS350c. Drive one...they are this fast from the showroom floor. The reason this and any car runs faster in the cool weather is that with cold air, you get more air-fuel mixture into the engine.

  • def. not stock

  • @FlyingStuff, I know you hate hearing this but, it's stock, 100% stock down to the filter.. and no weight reduction either, everything (spare and jack) was intact.

  • your gas is runnig out

  • I have some doubts here.

    1. NO, and I mean no car tester got such a low number. R&T, C&D, Motortrend, Edmunds... None got anything close under 5 seconds.

    2. At 4.72 0-60 sec you would imagine the tires would at least chirp from the dig. Unless of course you're going downhill.

I'm not here to flame or call you a liar but I hope you understand that by using reason and evidence already out there, these numbers prove to be very unlikely for an IS350 to achieve.

  • R&T (Road&Track) already has 4.9 sec out of IS350 on a nice hot day on their track. C&D may have gotten much worse numbers because the car tested was around 2005-2006, those cars require paddle dance to de-activate the traction control & VSC. Edmunds is known for obtaining poor numbers on fast vehicles and good numbers on slow vehicles and that site is also completely biased. R&T so far is the most reputable and neutral site. Don't rely on mag times too much to compare other drivers

  • And no, the tires don't have to be chirped to get better numbers. It's was the perfect balance between power and without wheel spin. It just shows how much power there is in the IS350's. Thanks to its short gearing and power curve. If I was going down hill I would be getting around 4.0~ 3.8 sec.

  • @c0nv1ct1337 The issue with your statement is that they clearly indicate that you haven't even LOOKED at the numbers of the sources you're claiming to cite. R&T didn't get close to under 5 seconds? Wrong, they clocked 4.9 seconds for the IS350 in 90 degree weather no less. C&D didn't get close to under 5 seconds? WRONG, and I quote "You won't be working too hard to repeat our 5.1 second 0 to 60 time" from C&D.

  • @c0nv1ct1337 And no offense, but I'm very hesitant on taking anything you say seriously in the future given the fact that you've clearly proven that you actually don't even bother to look up the actual numbers. When you claim R&T hasn't "got[ten] anything close [to] under 5 seconds" when in fact R&T did get...under 5 seconds, well, you can imagine how ridiculous it makes you look right about now. You did not even bother to look at the R&T data, you just pulled that assertion out of your ass.

  • @dcx1287

Now if you know anything about cars, getting under 5.0 while being already at 5.1 is not actually close. As for R&T, I looked at their road data sheet and accidentally took their convertible as the normal model. Way to write two paragraphs for absolutely no reason.

  • @c0nv1ct1337 Problem solved then, I suppose. R&T measured 4.9, and that clearly falsifies your initial claim that no magazine has measured under 5 for this car. Furthermore, if you knew anything about cars, you'd realize that it's the 4.08 final drive axle ratio coupled with the 316 horsepower at the crank that allows the IS350 to get to 60 in under 5. And yes, it's rated at 316 from the factory, not 306.

  • @c0nv1ct1337 I'm just a little taken aback by your obvious misunderstanding or non-consideration of gear ratios in vehicles when trying to assess performance. It's a bit of an amateurish mistake, but hopefully you'll know better in the future. Performance, especially 0 to 60 performance, is a function of multiple variables, not just horsepower.

  • @dcx1287

Are you serious? You didn't just go there especially with the absurd claim of me not understanding/considering gear ratios. Frankly, it looks like your purpose now is to be an absolute annoyance because you continue your useless blabber on youtube thinking anyone cares. Go troll somewhere else buddy. Don't expect me to reply to your next two useless paragraphs.

  • @c0nv1ct1337, dcx1287 is right and you are wrong. He has done plenty of research on IS350's and what they are truly capable of. He also owns one knows exactly what he is talking about. And he's not a troll.. he's exactly the opposite of that. You on the other hand got over-reacted and trolling now. Please stop it .

  • I am wrong about what? You told me your part of the debate and I agreed. Did you see me further argue against you? No, you didn't so why the fck are you still blabbering? He is trolling because he is making false assumption about me. Not to mention the fact I am clearly showing my lack of interest in talking to him yet he continues to talk. Oh and now you have the balls to tell me to stop? Stop making accusations when I made it pretty clear I am done here. Stop pulling stuff out of your ass.

  • @c0nv1ct1337, and personal attacks and cursing isn't encouraged in my videos. I'm more strict than others so you have the need for using profanity and taking stuff out of butts please go to the other videos and spew. This is unacceptable and if you continue to blabber in such manner I'm sorry but I will have to delete / block those messages. Thanks for your cooperation.

  • He made a wrong assumption about you so that's called trolling? what about you? You made wrong assumptions to begin with, without checking the sources carefully. It's the ignorant and presumptuous people like you is what got him irritated. And from what I can tell he did not make wrong assumption about you because you indeed made wrong assumption about the IS350. If not, you wouldn't say such thing about how it can't get to high 4's 0-60 going downhill and require tire chirping.

  • @shkv40

I didn't make an assumption. I misinterpreted a fact from a direct source. Two different things.

I also directly stated what assumption he made against me twice in my previous posts. If you fail at seeing that, well that's your problem.

But then, wait a minute. What are you his lover? Why are you arguing for him? Jesus christ, I know I was pretty hypocritical and kept answering back but there is nothing to come back anymore. Bunch of butthurt idiots wanting to argue on youtube. Bye

  • @c0nv1ct1337, yes he's my lover. You've got problem with that dear?

  • Loving how the gas light comes on immediately after

  • hi what is the name of this song?? really like it!

  • @gnn713, it's "Nagai Yume" by Yuki. She's Japanese and very cute and has cute voice. You should be able to find the mp3 of it pretty easily in the google search. cheers:)

  • @shkv40 thank you:)

  • I love this music,looool

  • @hanaimer, i like it too.:)

  • what is the top speed of the is 350?the start is very quick, but what about the maximum?

  • @hanaimer, it's good till about 120. According to R&T test data IS350 takes you from 0-100 in 12.7 sec and 15.4 sec@ 110 mph. BMW 335i does it in 15.6 sec@ 110. Just to give you an idea.

After 120 it runs out of breath some due to taller gearing on the last three gears (4th, 5th, & 6th). This is where 2nd gen Infiniti G35 and 335i will start walking.

IS350 is designed for 0-60 and quarter mile applications.

  • @hanaimer , oh and the top speed for the IS350 is 143~ 145 mph. it's limited.

  • Too bad we don't get these in Europe. We only get the 250 and 220d.

  • When my Gs300 was stock it was 6.7 sec 0-60. Thats not that fast but its fast for a dyoned 206 hp.

  • Comment removed

  • is an 06 is350 with 139 000 km on it a good choice? are they known to be reliable?

  • that comes out to around 86367 miles hmm. Lexus is well known for build quality and reliability. With that mileage it should be no problem at all unless the previous owner(s) on that car abused (accidents) it or / and didn't do proper maintenance (oil change). I didn't have good luck with buying used cars as they all gone through some sort of accidents, me no luck. Other than that, Lexus IS350 is a very reliable car.

  • True that. I have a 02 GS300 thats still running strong. Its turbo'd though.

  • wow so fast... i want one..

  • it's built very nicely as well. the dash is soft to the touch and made with high quality / premium quality materials. :)

  • the is350 is fucken fast!

  • Your Lexus would post 0-60mph in 4.3sec when her odometer reaches 7000miles(11000km) or so, I can predict.

Thus the Lexus IS350 can be called as a poor-man's Mercedes C63AMG as well as the Porsche Panamera for hoi-polloi!!

  • lol thanks for the sweet comment. I appreciate it. Indeed, IS350 is one hell of a performer and is so luxurious.

  • i recon ur going down 1 fucking steep hill lol

  • If I was really going downhill I would be getting 4 sec flat if not 3.8 sec 0-60. Man you are so ignorant. Any more crap of your post here you will be removed, very quickly.

  • oh i do appologise sir...... all i thought was.... its ment to do 0 - 60 5+ sec so downhill 4.7 doesnt sound to bad to me..... but yeah yu can be a japseye and remove me if ya want i couldnt realy give a shit i just wanted to see if the is350 was quicker than my m3 saloon and i dnt think it is

  • Reckon* You're* Apologize* Meant* Doesn't* You* Really* Don't*

  • what the fuck? hu are you the spelling police?

  • No I am not, however, I think that if I were trying to make derogatory comments in response to someone's video I would learn how to spell, or I would at least try to write using correct English.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, "hu" is spelled w-h-o. Just for future reference.

  • haha ok i am sorry. you would make a very good teacher

  • Wow I can't stand the morons who come on Youtube just to correct grammar. Get a life!

  • dustin did fine, and I actually enjoyed his comments. He did that because mayweatherrulz was talking shit. Plus his spelling and grammar were terrible anyways so why not correct em? It's better to write proper English than crappy English anyway...Don't take it personal what he said.

  • Because his reply was totally irrelevant to what was stated. It had nothing to do with a Lexus, just grammar. Thats the point I'm getting at.

  • Thanks. The point I was making was if he wanted to make a contradictory comment, which he had all the right in the world to do, he needed to do it intelligently and with correct grammar. The fact that TheLBCSublime took it on his or her own to call me a moron is just superfluous. I never make comments on videos, however, mayweatherrulz's grammar was so terrible that I wanted to correct it. Where's the crime in that? Like shkv40 said, don't take it personal. There was no offense intended.

  • Thanks! :-)

  • @dustinmcclelland15 lol amen.

  • LMFAO the gas light comes on

  • sweet song.

  • lmao i love how the gas warning light goes on right at the end.....reminds me of my tacoma after the turbo upgrade.....F#$^@! 14MPGs.....

  • what is that vector thing and what does it do?

  • it's an accelerometer that detects movement and calculate your g-force. it's great for testing 0-60 runs and they are accurate.

  • well of course the car (any cars) will perform better with lower amount of gas which is why it was done that way. I had approx. 1/8 tank of gas. Nobody in the review mags test cars with full tank of gas.....

  • And don't forget to turn off VSC/ TRAC and set the Power mode to Normal, no ECT.

  • So you did this without making any changes at all? I have a 2006 IS 350 and it doesnt seem this fast.

  • are u blind? I said it was completely stock down to the filter.. meaning everything was factory stock, yup, stock tires too. The only thing I removed was the heavy duty floor mats and an owner's manual, that's it. Your car didn't go as fast maybe because one or all of the following:

    - warmer weather (higher DA)

    - you didn't launch hard

    - you got extra weight in your car

    - your tire pressure was too low

    - your engine is worn out or has dirty injectors/ valve lines/ air filter, etc.

  • what is the red ring the lights up?

  • the red/orange ring that lights up in the tach gauage is for RPM i think.. notice it lights up when it got past 5000 rpm. Shifted to next gear and put you back just above 5k rpm and the orange light stays on.

  • oh ok so its like a built in shift light. thats really cool. the lexus is serious are really nice cars

  • Thestrawhead: Thanx for the feedback and response! I must say that I'm a bit jealous that u have a 350 :). I live in sweden, and them swedish bastards dont sell 350.s cus them swedish bastards dont belive in cars like lexus/infiniti, specially the top models: I asked a lexus dealer why, he said: cus we know for sure we wouldnt sell any in sweden, and we dont import either cus it cost to much and lexus here do not support any service or guarantee for the 350. I'm like: wtf??? :)

  • makes the ISF seem like a bit of a waste of money. That is mighty fast for a 6

  • As an IS350 owner, I totally believe 4.7 with the TCS off. Would have never believed it from a Lexus. I don't think it gets its props because of the looks maybe not being as nice as the G35 or the 335, or the "Lexus luxury/quality-but-not-fun" label. I just really enjoyed my buddy's face when I ran dead even with him up to 90mph in his 09 370Z. Ok. you could slide a fingernail between his front bumper and mine. He knew that when he bought it. 370's are really nice cars, but mine is a 4 door!

  • well said. +1

  • ok, wait a sec, how many HP does that 350 got, ? around 300 right? how can it do 4.6 to 60??? I dont get it, is that 350 tuned???

  • I don't quite get it either. I have an 06 350 and could not get over how quick it was when I test drove it. I'm not an inexperienced douche either. I drove a G37, 335i, and Mustang GT, the day we bought ours. The 408 gears may have something to do with it. But if you know how to get the traction control off for real, it is just faster, even with less hp than the g37. Car and Driver and R/T both still have it quicker with the TCS "on "than the G37 and even with the 370Z.

  • mikealanzo, hp itsself doesn't give you the final number. What's making the IS350 go faster is due to excellent gearing, which is designed for both 0-60 and quarter mile. IS350 has 306hp@ 6400 rpm & 277 lb-ft torque@ 4800 rpm. It is the gearing makes this car to either keep up or beat other cars that are either lighter or has more power than the IS350.

  • well, yeah, but still, how fast can someone shift gears that's a whole secund fatser than what lexus says 0-60? Lexus says the 350 does 0-60 in 5.6 sec, but in this vid it does 4.7..... are we talking DSG shifting, but manual stick? :)

  • First of all, Lexus provides very conservative number. And IIRC, that's without manipulating the TRAC / VSC setting. With the VSC on, the car can only do 5.2~ 5.3 sec. Also, Lexus brochure higher the number from 5.3 to 5.6 sec to help further differentiate from the IS-F. It's all marketing. And what the hell is all with manual shifting or DSG on the IS350??? It does not have manual and does not have DSG, it only comes in AUTOMATIC.

  • hey rich guy, fill up that gas tank lol..

  • I keep my gas tank to only 1/4 full to maintain performance. Full tank is a huge no-no.

  • hmm other then more weight, could you enlighten me on that? i drive a Z, this info could be useful =]

  • it's the gearing on the IS350. the gears are closely spaced for better acceleration.

is yours a stick or auto?

  • speech is silver and silence is gold.

  • WTF are you listening to? HAHA

  • STFU

  • I WANT A IS350,,,

  • I agree with irishChris1979's comment.. good post.

  • It was done on a flat, leveled road. if my camera (cannon A300) allowed longer than 30 sec (640x480 setting) of recording time I would have shown you the road as well. You just jealous because you either a). drive a G35/37 and can't get 4.7 sec stock or b). don't like to see IS350 getting good acceleration numbers. You are jealous.

  • Not really and no i would never drive an infinity or any japanese car for that matter I drive a C63. As for the video im not jealous of your 0-60 i just think this was done downhill because its very hard to get 4.7 secs with a car that does mostly 5 secs 0-60 but anyways congratulations im glad to see you can pull numbers close to the IS-F in a much cheaper car

  • you mean you "meant" to say you "thought", not think...cause I already told you I ran it on a leveled road as why would I test it on a downhill for. If I were to run it in downhill I would have gotten in the low 4's, probably 4.2 or 4.3 sec.

What you are not understanding, or realizing is that running in the cooler/cold weather improves performance. If I were to run it in hot weather and with braketorque I would likely get 4.9~ 5 sec. Juice14 got 4.9 sec stock in 80+F w/ humid weather.

  • Your absolutely right... I notice a huge difference in performance when it's cold out vs say a 80-90* day. I don't know how much you loose from the heat but, it honestly feels like at least 20 HP... In my car anyway. If the magazines can get this IS350 to 60 in 4.9 I definitely believe you can get a 4.7 out of this car. It did run 104 in the 1/4 mile in that particular magazine so, the power is there for it.

  • And I would never drive a Mercedes... no im not against German cars as I just got a Porsche 911 turbo, but I also have a is350. The IS350 can do under 5 seconds just not on a hot day... and ad for by cheaper cars i find it stupid people make price relevant when considering simply performance... if u want brute straight line a civic with a turbo can beat many cars, but sure itll have insane torque steer haha
